I was always so insecure growing up, and when I developed breasts that only got worse. They began to expand and grow- by the age of 13 I had breasts the size of my head. I wore multiple sports bras daily, paid exorbitant prices for real bras and was constantly scolded by adults on how I looked. When I was 15 my mother and I began hunting for a breast reduction, because I had been talking about getting one since I was 13. I met with a doctor who creeped me out and put his hand on my leg and stared into my eyes, I met with someone who said "exercise more" when I had already lost weight through my eating disorder and exercise was nearly impossible. Dr. D changed all that for me a month before my 18th birthday. She was cool, calm, collected, and happy to be helping me. She listened to me when I cried about the toll my breasts had taken on my mental health and what other doctors (both were men) had told me. Her nurse at the time, Sherryl was just an Angel. She helped my nerves, she was comforting and would talk to me every step of the way. She held my hand when they put the IV in to begin the surgery. She even would text me to check in on me and I would text her constantly worried about it all. I would trust all the women at Spa Chiara with my life. Amanda, the esthetician who often answered the front desk phone was confident and so helpful by providing my insurance company all the evidence they needed to see that this surgery would be life changing. I was so excited for my breast reduction. That surgery was life changing, and I've seen Dr. D for questions, concerns, laser scar treatments (covered by insurance) and she always had a welcome smile and made me feel confident and empowered. After I healed I went back to working out and dancing (collegiate teams), a weight was lifted (6lbs) but I also didn't carry the burden of worrying about my top and how much I was moving, I didn't worry about staring. I'm seeing her again for a simple revision as it's been two and a half years and everything had settled and I've been able to lose weigh with my exercise. Dr. D and her staff changed my life. I can never thank them enough and I always recommend them to my friends.

I was rushed out of the surgical bed and left to walk by myself out the waiting area and into the hallway.
