He's like the tio everybody gets along with. My car is on her way to 20years and has about 275K miles. Needless to say there is work to be done. I started going to Eliseo's Garage about 2 years ago after learning of it from a co-worker. One day my belt busted and luckily for me this garage is close enough for my car to make it without tow. After my first experience I decided I would not be taking my car anywhere else for the rest of her life! The service, attention, and value are impeccable!!! I have lived here in San Antonio since August 2015. In that time, I have owned 4 different Hondas, 2 Civics and 2 CR-Vs. Bill and his staff have serviced and taken care of all of my vehicles. My little brother in Victoria is a professional mechanic trained and certified by Honda. There was no line and no waiting. I was in and out in no time. I did have to get new windshield wipers which they did have in stock for my Toyota Tacoma. But I knew the day would come when there would be one sticker only! So here's the deal - $7. Until your current registration sticker expires, show the document you receive after your car passed inspection. This place is great. Some might say it's in a sketchy part of town. And you might be right if you said that. But it's close to downtown so that's fine by me. Dustin didn't even make me get out of my car until he scraped off the expired sticker. You may say that I did have to be a part of the turning on lights and such. But yo, it's cold. I had that heat turnt up as I turned on those high beams. All in all, I'd go back for an inspection. In my personnal opinion... Do business elsewhere. I been coming here for years because i like doing business with people i know. But, enough is enough, there are several much better shops to go to that don't leave oily finger prints on your trucks paint job or stearing wheel. This shops time has passed and needs new ownership. I can see it getting sold or closing in the next few years. Here's my story... I had my 93 Madza B-2200 truck towed to Eliseo's Garage to have a motor removed, then taken to a local engine rebuilder and reinstalled. They removed the motor in a day or so and the rebuilder picked it up, it got rebuilt it and was back at their shop a few weeks later. This is when all the trouble started.... Eliseo's Garage just let it sit for several months!!! No waiting for money due, no waiting on parts, no excuses... just no action. I called several times over weeks and months.... I stopped by their shop several times over weeks and months... I got angry with them off and on before a little bit of work started then quickly stopped again - they would go work on someone else's vehical everytime... Parts started getting lost...a timeing belt pulley here... a radatior and battery there, an oil pick up tube, all the bolts, etc... Then they started telling me they could not find the replacement parts!! So, I called the local Mazda Dealership and the parts were in stock !! i had to buy all the parts myself and deliver it to them myself. While it was up on their lift i wanted suspension parts replaced.... nope, never touched. Several times i asked where are we on the bill? I was never given a total or balance due. When it looked like the shop was getting close to having my truck ready i gave them $500 down to help them pay the shop guys. Later i was asked for more and i respectfully declined because it was not any closer to being finished. Finally, after 10 months of being in there I was disappointed with the results but, paid the balance due. I ran rough so i made some minor adjustments myself (TLC type of adjustments) and it got a little better. This was not a hobby vehicle. I planned rebuild it to have a good little truck to drive and enjoy to work and back everyday. P.S. I lost $75/month cost of insurance and 10 months or license plates waiting for the owner Mr. William Montemayor, Owners pathetic excuses. You need to skip this place... honest opinion !!! read more

We used to be big supporters of this business and even recommended it to others. We had oil changes done regularly here and customer service was always great. Two blown car engines later and a third botched wheel job, not so sure. Dealer we towed one car to said wrong oil had been used in engine. I'd give it negative stars, but have to add a star to post. This is my go to for my '98 Ford F150. Bill Montemayor and his team do great work. I've never felt taken advantage of and have complete confidence in their work. The garage is extremely clean. I came across this business quite by accident. I needed an inspection sticker so I stopped by. I noticed several Law enforcement vehicles and trucks getting worked on. I made a mental note to bring my truck next time I had problems. I've never regretted my decision. That was 8 years ago. Bill keeps records on everything they've done on my favorite "pickemup". In fact my baby is there today for needed upkeep. All I've paid in repairs sure beats monthly car payments. Bill is genuine, integral and easy to talk to regarding my trucks needs or not. **DISCLAIMER: THIS BUSINESS DELETED MY REVIEW, OR SO IT SEEMS. SO I AM POSTING IT AGAIN.** I was once a committed customer until recent events unfolded. Bill Montemayor and his team repaired my 2014 Toyota Corolla S. The job on it was up to par with what I expected although the wiper cowl was still damaged, the windshield sealant was obviously over applied, and there were, what appeared to be, a few grains of dirt in the paint job. He did save me on my deductible so I didn't feel the need to point it out or complain. It took he and his team 6 WEEKS to complete the repairs on my car, which is more than what I had expected. Bill, acknowledged the length of time to be outside the normal repair time and agreed to pay any of the overages/fees that were charged by the rental agency that I had rented the vehicle from. At the time, I didn't find it necessary to get the agreement in writing as Bill had kept to his word thus far. A few days after he had completed the job, Bill had requested that I meet him at a financial institution to endorse the check so he can receive payment. I was at work but I felt that I owed him my time and drove across town to meet him. When I arrived at the financial institution, there was an unforeseen roadblock that prevented the financial transaction from moving any further. Bill asked if I wouldn't mind going with him to another financial institution and I obliged. Keep in mind that I was still on the clock during this time. After the financial transaction was taken care of I returned to work. Fast forward to a more current time and I find myself on the phone with Bill because the rental agency charged me for all the overages/fees. I reached out to Bill to find out what had taken place between the rental agency and himself. He said that they only contacted him once but there was never an attempt to set up payment. Bill apologized for the incident and agreed to write a letter that stated he will take care of the charges so I could send a letter of dispute. Almost a full month has past and I've yet to receive said letter. I've called and have sent several emails. Nothing. I'd like to think Bill is a man of his word but after this, I'm not so sure. The least I would've expected was for him to write a short letter. After all, I did go out of my way for him. I don't think I'm expecting too much by desiring the same. read more

While I was driving across country from Arizona to Cleveland and back (Go Arizona Wildcats) I started having engine weirdness due to my neglect (not enough oil and putting oil in transmission fluid). I stopped at Eliseo's and Bill, Dustin, and Carlos helped get me on my way with a smile and a sense of humor. If I could give negative start believe me I would! Took my car as well as my fiance's here and what a huge mistake that was. Upon installation of new set of breaks and rotors on BOTH cars they started making horrible sounds when breaks were applied. The breaks on both cars sounded more as if they needed to be changed more so than they ever did before taking both cars into this place. Ive called and attempted to set up a time for them to check out their work (or lack thereof) on the cars but their response " You want to drop off your car all morning or afternoon for us to check it out" leaves me with a tight space to work with as I do not posses the luxury of time to give up half a day of pay just so that they can figure out THEIR mistakes. Their response not only exudes a tremendous lack of professionalism but it also DOES NOT guarantee they would fix the issue as "checking out the car" does not solve anything but it does however leaves a window for the to charge extra. Despite all this, I took in my fiance's car and after a half of day of "testing and diagnosing" the car, THEY FIXED ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. The car continued to make horrible sounds. In short: If you wish to get work done here I would highly advice to re-consider choosing this place. However, if you move forward and get work done on your vehicle be aware that your car may not ever be the same. Also be cautious as to what type of work you get done here; I believe breaks are one of the most important parts in a car that could cause further than just mechanical consequences so be mindful of your safety just like I will by not ever bringing my car here again. read more
