I'm not sure to give this a star or not but never go to the optical place inside this business because you get the runaround, like I did as soon as I put my prescription in to the person that does the glasses I wait about a week I went down to the Verona location numerous of times still got the runaround on the website says on Mondays do open it 8 to 7 so I came down there after work. Nobody was in there at the Vernon location. They don't consider that people work and so I asked the lady that does the glasses to bring them down to the Belleville location so she did. I went there about 11 o'clock on September 27. As soon as I walk inside the door, she said she'll be right with me then the nurse came out started modeling stuff about me questioning her the lady that does the glasses about me. When am I therefore the lady does the glasses after talking to one of the people that work there about me? What am I here for? I said I'm here to pick up and I was waiting patiently, so after she was done with the person that was ahead of me that's when she got me she finally took me and I finally got my glasses. I have been going to this eye doctor place for years ever since the founder, of the original founder of Dr. Eichler before he died my grandparents used to go there. I've been going to the eye doctor since before Dr. Eichler Senior died, and I have not ever received this treatment in my life .

They flat out said that those glasses were not from them and that the frame nor the prescription matches what was on file. I was in shock; I was given glasses that did not match the prescription on my file yet they charged me for those services. At the end they put Dr. Dominguez on the phone who with a very condescending tone kept saying that those were not glasses from her practice and from time to time she made sounds insinuating that I was lying. Yet, didn't apologize nor occurred to her that perhaps the negligence and disorganization of her office got me the wrong or what they call "over the counter" glasses and charged the insurance for the real ones. The therapy I received there not only helped me with focusing and doing better in school, but made me feel more confident in my day to day interactions with other people. Fast forward about 20 years and I am now working with computers everyday at a internet marketing company (where focus and vision are key). There are not enough thank yous to give to them for what they have given to me. If you are a parent and are thinking about sending your kids for vision therapy, I highly recommend it. While purchasing $800 glasses from an optometrist once and getting partial coverage from insurance is a necessary thing, it is not always a budget friendly option. Fortunately there are online options available to order with a prescription. I know that these offices are reluctant to share prescriptions due to the increasing use of these online options. But they are in fact OUR prescriptions. When my daughter called for the PD #, NOT an expired RX, they would only offer it for $25. That seems absurd since it is her medical history. And quite frankly none of their business what she will do with her OWN records. But to assert that it would be a liability for them to give that number to her is asinine. Their conversation escalated to unreasonable proportions because of the staff's incredibly condescending responses. We will not be doing business there again. Please save yourself the effort and go anywhere but here. I went for my first appointment to get my eyes checked for contacts and the reception staff was immediately ill mannered and unpleasant. (There is no wall and we patients can hear them talking about other customers). After months of trial contacts that did not work for me, I went back for a recheck on 12/2. I specifically called to make the recheck appointment and confirm that there would be no extra charge, since nothing they were having me try was working. I explained that I was being given trial contacts for months and having trouble with my contact fitting. I was explicitly told I would not be charged. Well I went back for my recheck and was charged $147 since "the contact specialist is seperate". I told them i had been confirmed for no payment over the phone since I explained my issue was WITH MY CONTACTS and was never told that the contact specialist was a seperate charge. After some back and forth the dark haired receptionist cut me off and said "well do whatever you want we'll just send you the bill". She eventually agreed with me that I "shouldn't have been told that over the phone" but that they were going to charge me anyways. I still have not gotten the correct contact lenses from them. The contact specialist who was trying to fit me with contacts told me what she gave me was probably the best im going to get, even though i told her the contacts were blurry and giving me headaches. I had her write down a note for me of what pair of trial contacts I had in my eyes and which she was ordering for me prior to leaving the appointment. When i didn't recieve these notes (that i watched the contact specialist photocopy for me and leave for the receptionist) I asked the blonde receptionist, who was immediately rude. She told me to sit down and wait for the specialist to be done with her next patient to get the sheet of paper she photo copied for me. I told her that was unacceptable because I could literally see them on the counter and pointed to them. After some more unnecessary back and forth and an eye roll, she finally handed me the sheet of paper she was about to make me wait 30 minutes for. I was told I would recieve a call to come pickup my trial contacts in 1-2 days. Three days go by with no call, so i called the office and Chris the contact specialist said the contacts were "not there" and she "wasn't sure where they went" so she said she would order them for me to pick up the following Monday. When Tuesday rolled around, still with no call, I called the office and was sent to voicemail with an eventual call back later that day. Save yourself the time, money and frustration and go elsewhere to get you eyes checked.
