Hudson is another staple for Airport Convenience store locations. Once stop shop that has you covered if you need any last minute items before you embark on the next phase of your journey. All sorts of snacks to choose from including chips, nuts, candy, gum, pre-packaged sandwiches and drinks (water, soda, sport drinks, etc). They also have all sorts of tech accessories in case you have forgot something critical like a charger or ear buds. Magazines and books for the reader in you, they have a decent selection and as long as you're after a common brand magazine they probably have it. Some gift items like magnets, pens, stuffed toys for kids and some clothing items. They really have a little it of everything and are competitively prices compared to other stores selling similar items. Also, they have some sale items form time to time. Usually my go to if I want to grab a drink or have forgot some gum for my trip. Would recommend and would come back here again. read more

Theresa! What a gorgeous Woman with a gorgeous smile! Made my morning after going through the unfriendly TSA line here! Hudson News is located throughout the U.S., mostly in Airports around the Country. They're known to carry local newspapers and other toiletry items that you're not supposed to carry through the TSA checkpoints! This includes beverages! They also sometimes carry local apparel, which makes it easy for someone to purchase souvenirs if they need to. So I processed through the TSA checkpoint and absorbed the zombie-like vibe from the TSA agents, who always seem to be unhappy to be there or too professional! After successfully going through the screening without being eagerly groped or scolded for having a penny in my pocket, I proceeded to Hudson News. I wanted to get a copy of the local newspaper, which I always do at the local airports. As I walk in, I was immediately greeted by Theresa, with her genuine smile and happy "Good morning!," which immediately brightened my morning. She was also one of the prettiest women I had seen during my visit to Alabama! Thank you, Theresa! Although they had not yet received their delivery of the newspapers, I purchased a bottle of water and paid. Hudson News has the monopoly on most Airports. The stuff they sell there are marked up incredibly, but when you have a captured audience, that works to your advantage! I just wish they had more Theresas throughout the U.S.! read more

We stopped in the BHM Airport Hudson News to pick up miscellaneous items on our way to Denver - drinks, snacks, book, earphones, etc. Devyn helped us and was the friendliest, most helpful person we encountered during our travels! She encouraged me to check out their impressive book selection and was so friendly. I've been in many Hudson locations in different airports and I've never encountered such a friendly, helpful employee as Devyn. Also the store was very neat and clean, and they really did have a great selection of books and magazines. read more

Had a little bit of time before my flight and went in to purchase some snacks. I approach the lady behind the counter who was working on some paperwork and could not look up to acknowledge me. I asked her where the halls tablets were and she lazily pointed behind me where they were at least two feet over someone's normal line of sight. There would have been no way for me to be able to see them. They were the ones in the baggie and I asked her if she had the ones with the normal package. It's not so much that they didn't have the item, which is fine, it was the anger in her face of me even asking the question. This lady absolutely needs to get lessons in happiness from the rest of Birmingham. if you don't like your job, quit! And if you can't be like the rest of the nice folks in Birmingham, you need to move! read more

Stopped by Hudson as I was waiting to take a flight I was looking for a book to read on my trip across the country. They had the book I was looking for, so I got excited considering it's been out for a while. I go to pay for the book and she tells me $17.99, plus tax! I was shocked! I quickly said no thank you and proceeded to put my credit card away. Well the woman got all upset stating that the person who rings you up gets fun dinged for voided transactions and that I should have looked at the price before asking to buy it. I mean, I am sorry but that sounds like a issue you need to take up with corporate and not with your customers! I apologized a couple times and started to walk away and she kept going on and on. That was just weird. Now I don't know what kind of trouble she might find herself in for voiding the transaction but really it should not be that big of a deal... Get a grip! I have the right to decline the purchase if I disagree with the price- regardless of whether or not the item has been rung up! read more
