Hudson Paperie is an adorable gift shop on Washington Street. It's the perfect place to visit if you are looking for a card or gift item. They have some really funky gifts that I haven't seem in other places. I've been buying a ton of wedding related gifts for friends and I always seem to find the same things. At Hudson Paperie they have really unique gift items that I haven't seen before. They also offer monogrammed gifts and New Jersey themed gifts if you are looking for something that has a personal touch. When I got engaged my friend got me a wooden and marble monogrammed cheese board from HP and I love it. In fact, I loved it so much that I went out and got that same gift for another friend's engagement. While the gift shop portion of Hudson Paperie is fantastic, I'm knocking off a star because I was not too impressed with their wedding invitation service. The consultation does not feel super personal, they mainly just throw a ton of big books at you to look through on your own. Which is not a huge deal, but but not for the price. Invites here are incredibly expensive - more expensive than most other invite avenues that I've come across. So for that price, it would have been nice to go through different styles with a consultant instead of being left to sort through 100+ books on my own. But, if you are fine with that they do have tons of styles in their books to choose from. So the selection is great, I just was not too impressed with the service for the price. read more

My go to card and gift place. family owned and run business that truly cares about customers. The owner Chelsea and her sister Erin were both really helpful finding various items around the store and in addition gave us amazing suggestions for places to visit during on Honeymoon in Greece. The selection at the store is unique and carefully curated and it shows in both the quality and variety of items. If the bubbling staff personalities don't make this favorite shop right off the bat, then their cute jewerly and Hoboken gifts will take care of the rest. read more

This is my go to place in Hoboken for balloons. They have a lot of options online which is nice. Not cheap but really convenient. Also cute gifts in the shop as well. Nice local business. read more

I happened to be walking by the store with a girlfriend and she's wanted to check it out when we walked in we noticed it was a cop clothing store for babies and little trinkets I was able to buy presents for my girlfriend in Las Vegas is having a wedding and some really cool presents for my sons grandmother's birthday is coming up we ended up buying a bunch of little things that had Q pillows Picture frames and trinkets for gifts as far as buying gifts for babies and brides grandmas and things like that this is such a cute little place I would've walked past it if my friend hadn't said anything I spent over a less than $100 and the girls that work there was so so nice all you need is a little time to look through everything but I was able to find a lot of cute shit read more

I LOVE this place! I went to see if there was a cute ornament to bring to my family for Christmas and Hudson Paperie did not disappoint. They had such great holiday selections and a really amazing card selection. I was able to snag a pack of papyrus holiday cards for 50% off (came out to $9). Besides holiday, they had awesome gifts-baby gifts, wedding gifts, housewarming, etc. This is also a place with really beautiful wrapping paper to make your gift the best they could be. If you love stores like Paper Source you'll love Hudson Paperie. It's really easy to walk into this store for a unique birthday card and walk out with like 6 other gifts you forgot you "absolutely needed." Love that they gift wrap too! The only thing I didn't love is that they have a super strict return policy, I haven't yet tried but, according to the sign by the register (half hidden by other signs) returns are for store credit only and within 15 days of purchase. Excellent place for custom invites and stationary but also my go to place for small gifts or anything party-related. Example: I dropped by looking for something to decorate a hotel room for a staycation I planned for my husband's birthday. That is when I discovered they had an excellent assortment of helium inflated balloons and they use the good stuff because their balloons stay up FOREVER (unlike balloons I bought in the past at a nearby toy store that fell flat in 3 hours). Seriously - I bought the balloon expecting it to drop after a day or two and promised my husband that we would celebrate his birthday until the balloon deflated. It has been over 1 month and this balloon has not dropped an inch since I bought it! It's been a great month for him. :) Staff is also very friendly and helpful. I worked here at one point and honestly such a bad vibe. The girls are so cliquey which is weird because I thought they would be way past that at their age. They hired girls that were like clones of eachother and gave them my hours after I asked them for more which they said they would do. Chelsey at Hudson Paperie is amazing!! The wedding invitations she designed brought me to tears, they were so beautiful! She went above and beyond in designing and producing the them. My appreciation and admiration for Chelsey Blake and her Hudson Paperie shop cannot be expressed well enough. During our engagement, my now husband and I considered several online vendors for our wedding invitations, but given our anticipated desires for the invitations, in addition to wanting to incorporate personalized artwork, we decided to make an appointment with Chelsey just to see what the shop had to offer. We were both greatly impressed with our first meeting with Chelsey. Going into the meeting she knew that we were considering online vendors, but in no way did she pressure us. She was and is friendly, knowledgable, willing to listen, and she is patient. Chelsey's shop has many options to choose from for personalized stationary. We did find a type of invite we were interested in and discussed all of the details. She took detailed notes and followed up with us in a timely manner. Chelsey was able to work with the stationary vendor and on our behalf was able to adjust the wording of the invites to suit our requests and incorporate our personalized artwork. We initially ordered several pieces for our wedding invitation and we were so greatly pleased with how well each piece turned out upon arrival of the final printed product. We were so pleased in fact, that we went back to Husdon Paperie for the order of a custom piece for our hotel bags/day of that included a personalized map and also for our ceremony programs. Every piece that we ordered from Hudson Paperie arrived just as requested. Throughout the entire process Chelsey was a pleasure to work with and she made it all so easy! As an important note, we did have a budget in mind from the beginning and Chelsey always kept that in mind and worked with us to provide options that were within our budget. One of the few things I never once worried about throughout the wedding planning process was the stationary for our wedding. My advice, take the time to check out her beautiful shop that has much to offer (and is updated frequently) and if you are in need of customized stationary, please do consider utilizing Hudson Paperie for all of your needs.
