Defiantly lucky to experience 3 days of watching the private recording and spending time with the band. Was able to sit in the control room and watch the process of how the recording end of an LP is made. Good times and was able to chat with Weird Eddie Harsch of the keyboard player of The Black Crowes. He passed away a few months later so very grateful to spend some time with him and hear his beautiful fingers play the ivory keys one last time. The studio is not far from city of Woodstock and has a huge field for parking. Looked like it had living quarters for musicians recording. Great place and really cherish my time I spent here at The Studio!

We came to this beautifully crafted studio to see Team Sleep. All of us are big Deftones fans and some of us bigger Team sleep fans. Approximately after a ten year hiatus, Team sleep would play here and I am just happy I was a part of it. We spent the entire day interacting with the band and having the opportunity of what it's like to create a record. No words can do justice on how cool it was to witness the workflow first-hand. It was spectacular and unlike anything I have experienced. Michael was an awesome....awesome cat! The band was amazing. The people we met were cool homies. Sharing stories at a bonfire was surreal. Hell I got the chance to speak to my favorite musician about my favorite thing in the world, wrestling. From the bottom of my heart, thank you. Spending the day here with amazing friends and musicians was just crazy. This studio has a very special place in my heart. Now, Then, Forever. One love.

I had picked up a Hitachi television from 1976. I brought it into him and he cleaned it up. Did some work on dial that selects the channels. He put in a couple of capacitors. Because when I played a videotape on the television. You could see at the middle of the top and bottom of the screen there was some bending. Luckily, it wasn't the picture tube but just the need of a couple of capacitors. He also was able to put a new cord into a multiple CD player. As well as adjust a very nice voice of music turntable. That had stopped working. I also found a new old stock, Panasonic telephone combination answering machine. He put on a new belt and adjusted the cam gear. Next up is a pioneer RT 707 open real tape recorder that needs adjustment with some new belts. Probably a new speed regulator as well as lubrication. There are very few old-time electronic repairman left around. He said he gets work from multiple states and is always busy. The turnaround time and the prices are very fair. If you have a turntable, Home, tape deck, receiver, open real tape deck, tube radio. This is definitely the place to bring it. As Ken has been in the Repair business for over 40 years.

They really took their time helping us work through a situation that was pretty foreign to us, being that neither of us previously had a well, as opposed to water provided by the city/town. Timeliness was a concern because we couldn't move into the house without a water treatment system in place. Leighton's was very accommodating and didn't shy away from scheduling work on a holiday weekend. Subsequent service calls have also been great, and the staff was not resistant to our observing and probing questions, which were clearly intended to help us handle some future routine maintenance ourselves. I did however purchase a nice old file in new condition as well as an old, ornate drill bit holder which will proudly be displayed in my home shop. This store has a hazy, relaxed, out-of-time feel to it and is as relaxing and comfortable as any familiar place where one wants to get lost for a while and forget the loud, impersonal modern world in which we find ourselves immersed far too often.
