I feel horrible that I have to write this review because the guy was very kind but unfortunately I couldn't help but cry when I left this place . I had came in for a conch piercing and came out with a conch piercing without a screw in the back and a third whole piercing that I did not ask for . I hate it because I wasn't even asked if the jewelry was ok. It looks horrible.): I understand he most of misunderstood but I had never mentioned to get my third whole pierced . It bad already been Too late and I didn't notice till he went to the other side of my ear to they to do another whole on my Other ear .he had thought I wanted both ears third whole piercings . Never said it .thankfully i noticed what was going on and I stopped him and ask what he was doing .I ended up getting the additional piercing on the house which was kind of him. Thank you .But it was something I did not want . The hygiene and cleanliness is also not the best . He seemed under the influence The minute i walked in it smelled like marijuana He didn't use gloves with me and did not wash his hands . He also did not mark my ear before piercing me which is why I guess the additional piercing came out crooked . I was nice enough to let it go . And not argue . But if it was somebody else , this would of been a huge law suit . I can never trust this place again. Please don't be cheap like I was and go to a real professional. It's not worth it . I never write reviews because it's so time consuming but I honestly need to warn the rest of you. I don't know how this place has anything close to the ratings it does but do not go to this place it's a scam and this guy is high on drugs or something. I got a mid cartilage piercing here where he never even asked me what kind of earring I wanted or what size gauge for the hole. He couldn't even keep his concentration while speaking to us (a couple of my friends also came with me to get the piercing). He kept watching the tv. He told me the earring was real gold which was important to me because I get bad reactions from fake earrings. Tell me how this piercing never healed properly even with the most utmost of care cleaning it as many times a day. Tell me how the "gold" earring turned GREEN and was eroding in my ear. Never ever again. I really don't know what kind of drugs this guy was on but I do not trust him to be piercing holes or permanently etching ink into my skin. This was one the best experiences of my life. Ernie is the best beyond belief. I came after dinner time around 7 pm, so the place was kind of empty, and immediately Ernie asked me what I wanted. I knew I wanted a rook piercing, but I was still a little hesitant because it's my first cartilage piercing. I walked into the room after he did really quick prep of the room and he immediately started reassuring me by showing my his tools and procedure. When it came to the piercing, I'm gonna be honest: I didn't even know it happened. He was counting down and he told me it was going to happen, but I thought he was pranking me because all I felt was something reminiscent to a really pointy finger poking my ear. I had no idea I had a needle through until I looked at my mom's facial expression. And just like that, it was done. I'll definitely be coming back here. Ernie definitely knows what he's doing and I could not have imagined a better experience. It was fast, easy, painless, and really rewarding. The only thing is that he didn't give too much specific information on aftercare, but that wasn't a big deal cause I kind of know what I was suppose to do and if you do your research, the internet basically reiterates what he said. They both knew what to do and say to put me at ease with the process and they genuinely love what they do. I went for a tongue piercing they put in an overly large bar even after it swell I had a lot of space left on the bar, the bar also pushed against the skin right before my teeth and the bottom of my mouth bruising it. I was a walk-in, in need to some help taking my piercings out which had seemed to be stuck, so I couldn't remove. The staff was great, knows their stuff, and is so easy to talk to! They got me signed in quick and were happy to help me. Ernie got all 5 piercings out seamlessly and educated me on the chemical reactions and binding properties of certain things used on the ear and different types of metals, helped me figure out what type of piercings I can use going forward, and even had a type of ear ring to help solve my issue! They discounted me for the price of the removals since I purchased a pair of ear rings there, as well. Would recommend this group to anyone, and be sure to ask for Ernie! Hudson Tattoo is a nice shop specializing in tattoos and piercings. The staff is so friendly. I just did a walk-in and didn't have to wait long at all. The prices were reasonable. I went with a friend that was having her helix pierced and I was so impressed with the piercer, Ernie's patience with questions and knowledge of anatomy, that I had my own piercings done. I had previously pierced this area and it was not done successfully so having someone I could have confidence in was of the utmost importance. The interior is a vibrant green and cool, almost chic. They have the typical wall of flash and books with the different artist work. They also have a glass case to showcase gorgeous jewelry. Some pieces were things I had never seen before and I have been in a lot of shops! It appears that each artist had their own work space its not crowded and its set away from the foot traffic in the front. As for the piercing process, Ernie is very professional. You see him take needles and stuff out of sealed packaging. Always with gloves and using universal precautions. He walked me through the whole thing and made it as quick and painless as possible. Came here about a year ago and got a rose tattoo on my ankle. I wasn't crazy about the job they did on it. The shading was not good and the bottom part of my tattoo is already starting to fade. Grant it...the tattoo was cheap so I got what I paid for. They also made it much bigger than I wanted it which I wasn't happy about. Two stars for the fact that they did use clean equipment which is very important. However, I personally would never suggest this place to anyone. read more
