In Sept of '23 I had to have surgery, and was referred to Dr. Sunny Mitchell. Now, 50 years after my first exam I have finally found a Dr who is not only an excellent surgeon but is compassionate, kind, and patient. She takes her time to answer my questions using the great knowledge she has and never rushes through an exam. She gives me the confidence and hope that I need to make informed decisions regarding my health. I feel truly taken care of and I always leave her office uplifted. I cannot express what an excellent Dr. she is and I would recommend her to my own daughter knowing she would be getting the best care possible. However, getting my results sent to my doctor was impossible. I had to call them to get the results, and they sent a printed copy. When I asked for the actual image to be sent to my doctor I had to jump through hoops and it was never sent. They wanted me to make a password to send to my doctor so they could access the image. My doctor nor their office is going to go through opening an email and using a password. This is a very busy oncology office. So, I had to drive over to the facility to ask for a disk and then drive the disk to my doctor. I received several text asking where to send the images. I responded several times and they kept saying that it wasn't right. So I took a picture of the script and of the doctor's phone and fax number. I did not get a response and the image was never sent. This is unacceptable.

While she was attempting to insert the IV, I experienced an immediate and severe nerve pain--a shock-like sensation radiating to my middle finger. This pain has persisted since that moment, accompanied by tingling and discomfort. The nurse remarked that she had never encountered such a reaction before. She made multiple attempts to insert the IV, and during one of these attempts, the nerve pain occurred. Since then, I have continued to experience ongoing symptoms.

I was overjoyed to learn about "stand-up mri" from a friend. Within 4 days, I was able to be seen. Check-in and paperwork was a flash. My appt was scheduled for 10 and I was in promptly at 10am. Staff and management were kind and professional. I would highly recommend this office and in particular, this type of MRI to everyone. Most ideal for those who suffer from claustrophobia. Note: the seat can feel slightly restrictive. Your arms will be touching the walls on the side, but you are completely in a upright seated position, with open space in front and a TV to watch during your time. Lockers are available for your belongings. I didn't have to change from my clothing. My MRI was for my lower back.

The radiologist helped my son to feel welcome and comfortable and permitted me to sit outside as he was scanned. If there is one area of improvement is to clearly indicate that the imaging center is located at the back of the building. We parked at the front of the building and was redirected to walk around outside to the back. If someone who was dropped off was in serious pain, this would have been an uncomfortable walk.

I waited for about an hour to have my MRI done and when I went to the front desk I was told that they just received a message from the technician that the machine had overheated and it would take about an hour to cool down. Their machine is located on the parking lot of the location. I elected not to stay and was turned off by the entire experience. Some of the people I came in contact with seemed like they were unhappy working there and it reflected on how they treated the people who were waiting. I would not recommend anyone go to this location. It was not welcoming in any way and I question whether their safety standards are up to par. I recently went to their office in Danbury, Connecticut and it was night and day. It was extremely professional every step of the way. My advice... if you have to use Northeast go to their Danbury location... you will not be disappointed.

The nurse practitioner Carolyn was very thorough going over my medical history and I was very comfortable with her! The nurses Elisha and Sharon were so nice as well, they explained step by step what we were doing, especially during the WAVi scan (a very cool tool they use to monitor your brain activity that was a lot of fun). And then Kristin at checkout was sooo helpful explaining to me all the next steps and answering all my questions. They also do iv therapy, massage therapy and much more, can't wait to go back!
