I have been dealing with Hudson furniture for over 3 years since I initially ordered my furniture. Save yourself the headaches and money. DON'T buy furniture from this company. After waiting 9 months for the furnture, no big deal since during pandemic, when I asked to have the furniture delivered I was told the headboard never arrived and the set was now discontinued. I ordered another complete bedroom set, waited quite a while, then they delivered the set without the matching headboard. They had to reorder the headboard. They delivered a dresser without the knobs. They ordered the knobs, delivered the wrong type and ordered the knobs again. I foolishly purchased the replacement warrenty for a sofa, which they claimed covered all damage within a 3 yr period. Recently, I entered a claim because the sofa was stained and ripped, they denied the claim. Basically, their service was terribly, they fraudalently sell warrenties that they will not cover, they avoid your communications - didn't answer my emails or return my calls. The quality of the furniture was on the same tier as Rooms To Go. read more

Hudson's has nice furniture, a bit steep in price. I purchased a bedroom set last year. In that time I have had to go back a few times to exchange wrong items ie wong lamp shade and lamp. Still dealing with this issue..now the hardware on the furniture is coming off. Sales staff is very good, helpful and friendly...communication is very poor. read more

Poor delivery time. I ordered a headband and nightstand & mattress in Oct 2020 & received partial delivery in February 2021. Finally a week ago, June 7, 2021, 8 months later I received the final piece to my order. Not a fan of long delivery! I was contemplating on Cancelling. read more

I purchased a chair from Hudsons on Nov. 28th and paid for the chair in full. I was told that the chair would be delivered from mid to end of Feb. Six days later I received an email saying the chair would not be available until June 28th. This is a "bait and switch". Promise the customer one thing at the sale, and then change the terms after payment. I've contacted the store many times, requesting a refund, and they told me that their policy is "no refunds". No mention of this policy was ever made at sale time. Every time I call trying to resolve this I'm told only the general manager can do it, but she is not available. They always promise she will call me back but never does. No one would buy a chair and wait 7 months for it. Don't do business with Hudson's they are dishonest. read more

Buyers beware, elderly beware! Hudson's Furniture Outlet has a reputation of taking advantage of elderly customers and using sales "fear tactics, (highlighting all the extra fees/issues/negatives/etc)" to persuade them to opt out of warranties. It recently came to my attention when not only my elderly neighbors, but now my very own grandma who just moved across the country and was seeking a new bed fell in love with a Sterns and Foster at the Hudsons Outlet location. She was promised it was one of the highest rated, softest bed on the market - perfect for her every needs. She absolutely loved how the bed felt when she layed on it in the store. Fast forward the mattress gets delivered and immediately there is something different. The mattress is firmer, the sensation of coils and metal throughout, this wasn't the same bed my grandma laid on in the store. I contacted the sales rep regarding the issue and she said "she needs to sleep on it for 30-45 days, even up to 90 days to break it in." My grandma can barely walk after a night of sleeping on the coils, she doesn't have 30-45 days to hope it gets more comfortable. She bought the bed under the impression she'd be receiving the same comfortable bed not one that needed months to "break in." In fact, this was NEVER communicated to her or she would of walked out the door. Not only this, the sales rep convinced my grandma to purchase a $100 mattress pad communicating that if purchased it would provide a "warranty," for the mattress. My grandma happily invested the money for the additional protection. The associate claims that she "wen't over all the fine details with my grandma." Well those fine details excluded the fact that she made my grandma sign to waive the 120 night sleep guarantee therefore granting zero options for recourse with the bed not being anything like the floor model. My mother who was observing the conversation and sale, and grandma would not of given up a sleep guarantee - they paid over $1600 for the mattress. Later, we find out that the 120 night guarantee; the "Warranty," that my grandma was under the impression she was receiving by purchasing the additional mattress pad is only valid if she purchased 2 pillows along with the mattress pad which automatically opted her out of the 120 night guarantee - the mattress pad up-sale for a "warranty," she thought she was paying extra for was essentially useless without the pillows. After continuous back and forth, a third party furniture technician hired by Hudsons came out to "Inspect the mattress," to find that there was some indentation on one side, but other than that nothing wrong with the bed itself (it's new, we figured nothing is wrong with it, but It's certainly not like the used store model). While the technician examined the bed we expressed our concern; "lay the two beds (store model and this bed) side by side and they would feel nothing alike." The technician expressed that Hudsons has a poor reputation for taking advantage of the elderly and shady business practices to opt people out of warranties for expensive furniture so the sales person can keep their commissions. I was sincerely disgusted. My grandma was sold on the idea of a highly used and "Broken in," floor model mattress being her dream bed only to receive a mattress that needed significant ware to be anything like the floor model. After waiting to hear back from the silence of Hudsons after the tech report, I call to inquire. I'm told by a gentleman that "the mattress has a 1.5 inch indentation which automatically warrants an in store credit, or a replacement." He then said the woman handling my account would call me back for next steps. Moments after I get off the phone with him the woman calls and she said the gentleman I just spoke to had misspoke that there is nothing wrong with the mattress, it's perfectly fine it only has a .5 inch indentation not a 1.5 inch indentation (their exchange threshold) and my options are to wait 90 days to see if anything changes with a tech report at that time. In short, Hudsons misled my elderly grandma to purchase a $1600 mattress including a $100 mattress pad but shadily opted her out of the 120 night guarantee when they told her to "Sign here." Not only this, but they used a third party company to inspect the mattress to simply say it's perfectly fine so they have no repercussion for their actions. They are not willing to even exchange for an in-store credit to purchase something else. The sales person lied her way to a sale from a gullible and innocent 90 year old who simply wanted a restful night sleep. Not only this, but their communication has been absolutely horrible and the sales associate obviously doing everything in her power to keep her commission. Shady, unethical business practices to say the least and extremely unhelpful in coming to any sort of solutions without an excuse. All this has led to nothing but nightmares, Hudsons should be ashamed!!! read more

All they care about is sales. Once your manufacturers warranty is up they could care less. Even if their repairman did a extremely bad repair. Had extended warranty and would not replace a cushion. Will never go back there read more

I ordered a piece of furniture at the Ormand Beach location that was supposed to come in by June the delivery was pushed out to October I asked if I could cancel the order and I was told no. The store manager insulted me and my wife telling us different stories every time we talk to him. To reach corporate for help I need to be a private investigator as all published information doesn't seem to work to lodge my complaint I would not recommend Hudson furniture to my worst enemy read more

I wrote a review in June about the loveseat I purchased at Hudsons, complaining that the fabric stitching was poorly done, and cushioning was not equal to that in the matching couch and chair that I had special ordered. Big plus for Hudsons now, as they ordered a brand new loveseat for me and had it delivered without additional cost. The new loveseat seams line up better, and the cushioning is also better. So, thank you Hudson's! read more

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER. We selected furniture in January because we were told it was already in shipment and would be in late February. Every month we were told "next month". When it came it was the wrong color. After a few more weeks we got the right color, but not the same as what was in the show room. We ordered recliners with adjustable headrests and these chairs didn't adjust. We are now month's later and still back and forth with no resolution or refund of the $5,000 we spent. Salespeople, Managers, Customer service all lie, repeatedly. They promise return calls and it is always US that has to call over and over. No answers. No resolution. No refund. Just $5,000 and the wrong chairs. The has been the worst customer service experience I have EVER had in my life. EVER. I honestly think their business model includes lies and passing you around until you give up. DON'T BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM. EVER. read more

The first salesman we dealt with was helpful and honest. it went downhill after that. He gave us quotes for two bedroom sets and a mattress and told us that one of the sets would not be available for about 2 months. We took the quotes and checked a few other stores and decided to go back to Hudson's the next week to look around again. Our first salesman was busy so we were helped by another person. She showed us the same set that the previous salesman told us was not available. We mentioned that we were told is wasn't available and she went to check and came back and said that he was wrong it was in stock and would take about 2 weeks. We then went to show her the mattress that we picked out and again she said that he quoted the wrong mattress. We took her word for it and ordered the set and the mattress that she said was correct. Three weeks later no word on anything. We called to check on delivery and were told that the bedroom set would not be in for about 2.5 months. So we were lied to and the first salesman was correct. Eventually they offered to deliver the mattress. It was the wrong mattress. It was the mattress that she charged us for but was not the mattress that we wanted. The manager offered to replace it but the wrong mattress was delivered again. After 3 months we finally got all of the furniture and the right mattress. read more

I have made two purchases from Hudson Furniture in Ormond Beach. I purchased a recliner in 2014 and a 2000.00 couch last month. With each of my purchases I purchased the 5year replacement plan. I do not live in Florida full time so the recliner has been used for about 1year although it was purchased in '14. When I returned to Florida in February I noticed that the chair had some damage on the head rest. I was here for a total of 8 days and had to leave for a family emergency. When I returned yesterday I call Hudsons to have them repair my chair. The girl asked when I first noticed the damage, I told her Feb. 3rd and she told me that you have to call within 2 weeks. No one ever mentioned this when I purchased the plan. It is not written anywhere on the paperwork nor is it on their website. I spoke with the person I just dealt with buying my couch and the person was not aware of the time limit. I believe that their plan is a racket. They will find that whatever you need is not covered or you missed their arbitrary timeline. They promise you anything that goes wrong will be fixed but it won't be. I would like to let other customers know that Hudsons did stand by their plan and replaced the headrest on the recliner. I am sorry that this dispute had to go to this level but I am very happy that Hudsons is a company that is reputable and stands by their word. I have experienced better service. But I will start by saying it wasn't a horrible experience.....just not as good as it could have been. They promised it on a Tuesday and because the truck broke down I had to wait an additional week because they only deliver to our area twice a week and I couldn't make it the other day. You would think for $9,000 + spent they could rent a U-Haul truck for $100.00 and deliver the service/items they promised. All I got was an apology and very long silence when I asked if there was another way. Like I said.....not awful....just not "thinking out of the box", customer service. I purchased a mattress and adjustable base today. Mary was my salesperson and she worked with me for a very long time to ensure that I made the best choice. They have a computer program that helps you decide which mattress is best suited to your particular sleep style. Purchasing was a very positive experience, I hope delivery will also be good. read more
