I'm very indecisive. Very. Take for instance microblading. My sister hipped me to this almost six years ago when she did hers somewhere in Northern VA. I was intrigued. The option to get semi permanent eyebrows to avoid not taking 5-10 minutes on the daily making sure said eyebrows are filled-in with the right shade of brown/black and the right amount of strokes? Especially, for a person who is lazy when it comes to makeup? Sign me up! Yes, it took me six years later. But it was worth the long-ass wait. Huemon Beauty did an excellent job with my eyebrows. I was very specific wanting natural looking brows. And she customized exactly to my specificity. I'm talking from the shape to the colors to the way the hair strokes were arranged. It's a long process (2.5 hours) but Deyonne, owner and technician, made sure I was comfortable throughout. She even asked my music choice to play in the background; I went with my homies Backstreet Boys and Jazmine Sullivan. Roughly 1.5 months after the initial procedure was the touchup. I saw Deyonne for lip blushing a few months ago (March 2022) and am thrilled with the results and whole experience She was very professional and the environment was very relaxed. Everything was sterile and each part of the process was explained to me which I really appreciated. Since then everything has been fantastic - they are exactly what I wanted. I am so happy every morning to wake up and look like I've put on a little something. I feel it makes my face much brighter and less washed out. Also, the outlining she did gives them a little more fullness which I love. Let me start by saying that although I arrived 15 minutes late, I was not seen until well over an hour AFTER my appointment time because she was still working on another client. Terrible mismanagement of time. Not only did I wait over an hour, I wasn't sent any paperwork from her until that morning. When clearly the paperwork stated that it had to be filled out and submitted 2 days prior to my appointment. But how could I review, sign and return when I didn't get the documents in time? I left witb zero time to properly review the forms prior to my appointment. We're already off to a bad start here. These are my lips 1 week after getting lip neutralization done with Deyonne. Although she is seemingly sweet and skilled with eyebrow pmu, my lip neutralizing experience was a nightmare! In my research I understood that lip blushing should feel like "light scratches". My session was incredibly painful even with the amount of numbing cream she added. After my session my lips were incredibly tender, sore, hot to the touch, very swollen and extremely painful. I assumed this was normal as she had done 3 passes with the needle and focused heavily on my too lip. Even when I expressed an unusual amount of pain on one side of my lip, she continued to go over it with the needle many times. I followed all protocol she provided yet my healing just did not seem to be going right. I eventually had to see a doctor because my reaction was very severe. Before going to the doctor I shared pictures with her and she had the audacity to say that it looked like an outbreak of herpes and that I needed medical attention. The nerve of her, to so cavalierly suggest that I was having a herpes outbreak versus acknowledging she was excessive in her application. I have never had a mouth sore in my entire life! After my doctor's appt I kindly requested a refund as I was advised not to go through with the second session, and was told that I'd only get my deposit back, which wasn't even half of what I paid for the full service! And if I chose to accept the $100 deposit, she wouldn't be able to provide the funds until a much later date because she was expected to give birth soon. My lips look like a terrible blotchy mess. It is obvious that my lips were over traumatized by this session and all this woman could do was send ridiculously long texts about how responsive she's been to my texts since I left her shop and how she offered a $5 discount because she didn't have any aquaphor to give me after my session. None of this takes away from the fact that she ruined my lips and refused to refund even half of my money. Save yourself the trouble and don't book lip blushing services with her. I support black businesses but this one will never get my money again. read more

My experience with Huemon Beauty was nothing short of relaxing, amazing, results oriented. I have very thin, sparce brows, and somedays self confidence can be a bit low, when your brow job in the morning when getting ready is a bit off.. and it happens often ;) i bet you all can relate with me. I had filled out a form on instagram (i was very vary of blading my face because of all the negative reviews you hear, but Deyonne called me the same afternoon, we talked for about 20 min. She comforted me, and never once tried to sell the services. But her this very feature made me sure, i'm getting my brows fixed. I quickly got on her books, and arrived. She is an extremely knowledgeable, personable, kind, compassionate woman, who you can trust to sort of blade your brows :). She was amazing to work with. I kept having multiple questions throughout the process, yet she was patient, precise, and guided me through the whole process. The process in itself sounds scarier than it actually is. She numbed the area well, and I felt or heard the scrape sound, but it wasn't painful. it was slightly weird feeling, but nothing more than scratching your face with your nails. I love my brows. I am returning for a touch up in 2 weeks. After 2 weeks, my brows look gorgeous, defined and I cannot wait for after the touchup.
