I was on a mission to furnish my new place as I have nearly no furniture. And, of course, I would have my eyes on some designer modern sofas that were way out of my budget. I did find some decently priced modern sofas online, but I wasn't confident about the quality and I really want to make sure the softness is to my preference since I'm a professional couch potato lol Fortunately, I found Huerta's Furniture on yelp. I went to visit the Huertas, the father and son team, to check out their samples. I ended up putting in a deposit on a sectional. I modeled the sectional after the one I wanted from a website then made customizations. After talking to Lalo (the father) and seeing/trying the samples, I was confident with their workmanship and their honesty. On top of that, the price was about half to a third of what I would've paid with the online designer brand. About 2 weeks later, the sectional was delivered by Lalo's son, Eddie, and another very friendly guy. The scheduled delivery was easy. Eddie texted me when he was on his way. I loved the sectional! I liked it so much, about a week or two later, I went back to order a loveseat for the den. I love that one even more!! I wish I have the space to fit more. We ordered a custom sectional from Huerta and it came out even better than we expected!! We couldn't find a couch that was the right size, color, and style to fit our unique space. Hundreds of fabrics to choose from and he let us take our time choosing what we wanted for the interior material. You can tell they stuffed the pillows and seats to the brim with material so that over time it would last and not cave in. I heard about Huerta Furniture because of an interior design group on Facebook that had a bunch of people in LA who were big fans of the company. I went there in 2019 to look at fabric and discuss pricing but couldn't make a decision, and then went back in September 2020 and put in an order for a couch, chair, and ottoman. I brought in designs and measurements I liked from other places and they were super accommodating. They're able to give you quotes on the spot and they have so many fabric options to choose from, as well as density/materials. Because of coronavirus and a fabric backorder (not related to Huerta but I liked the fabric I originally picked), my pieces weren't finished until March 2021 but they were well worth the wait. They give free delivery for orders over $1,000 even though I'm in Ventura County. The pieces look great, are well made and sturdy, and are super comfortable. My couch is fabric and I asked for it to be a slipcover and for all the pillows/cushions to have zippers so I can wash for easy cleaning. The chair/ottoman are (faux) leather and I can tell it'll get even more comfortable as we break them in. Highly, highly recommend! read more

Huerta must be the area's best kept secret for sectionals and sofas. After moving into the area during the pandemic, I was dreading the furniture buying process. Between supply chain delays, inflation, and shipping woes, I was preparing to wait a year for a decent couch. I came across Huerta here in Yelpland and sent in an inquiry. Based on their initial estimate of what we were looking for, I decided to go in person to get a better idea of fabric options and possible styles that would maximize our space and be durable enough to withstand three dogs. After doing some browsing at furniture stores, I had a good idea of the styles and fabric types we liked and presented these to Eddie. Huerta's website has a lot of examples and helped steer me toward our final design of a sectional and matching storage ottoman. Five weeks later, our sectional was complete and delivered. Due to my fault for not measuring our tight entryway when designing the sectional, one part was not able to fit through our doorway. Eddie however left the part that did fit and took the other part back to the shopto split so it would be able to fit in our doorway and still look complete when assembled. He was able to deliver the altered piece the next morning and did not charge me for the fix. The total price of our set as well, including the ottoman, was well under what we had expected to pay. It was an relief he was able to alter something that could've easily been an expensive and arduous mistake to rectify at a store. What a find. I was looking for a couch on Craigslist and came across their ad. Ended up ordering two of the same couch in gray and light pink. When I heard the price, I thought they quoted me for one. I feel guilty to have paid so little for these couches, seems vastly underpriced. They look great, comparable to the west elm one I almost paid 4x for. On one of the couches, the stitching was a little lumpy in the back. But it's barely noticeable when pushed against the wall so no complaints. I got the basic one, didn't like the add-ons (buttons, piping, metal legs). But I did ask for a few modifications like lowering the armrests and making them wider by a few inches and I don't think they charged me extra for those. Eddie was so patient and professional. He agreed to deliver the two couches to our house, for a very reasonable charge. When I told him "the earlier the better," he said he would come at 8. I wondered if he would be on time but he called me at exactly 7:57 am. Needless to say, I was impressed. :) I forgot to mention--they delivered my order ONE WEEK after I placed it. read more

I must say that I am pleasantly satisfied with Huerta Furniture and the great customer service that Eddie has provided. I initially went in for a price quote with pictures of couches that I wanted to replicate. The price was very affordable, especially given how much sofas and couches go for at full retail price. I found this beautiful sofa online that retails for more than double the price I end up paying for. My sofa is so beautiful and looks identical to the piece I sent Eddie. Throughout the two months of communicating with Eddie in person, phone, and Facebook, he has been responsive and customer oriented. Overall for customer service and price, I would give them 5 stars. My only critical feedback would be that my sofa is a bit wobbly. I messaged Eddie through Facebook to see what I can do to make it less wobbly and he assisted me accordingly. And it did help it make the sofa less shakey than before, but the couch is still shakey and doesn't seem sturdy with the legs. But overall I think the couch will be shakey regardless. That's my only negative feedback. Fair enough, I paid 50-60% less than what retail probably would have charged me. The piece looks beautiful as you can see in the pictures. I am satisfied and pleased with Eddie's service. But next time when I order a piece from Huerta, I will pay extra to ensure the sofa is firmly on ground and not shakey. Fantastic work from the team at Huerta Furniture. We are so pleased with the custom couch and ottoman we had made. The whole process from start to finish was easy and quick. Eddie was great to work with throughout the whole process and kept us updated with progress as items were being made. We visited the floor room and had lots of questions, and were impressed with the variety of options we could pick from. We chose a great performance fabric that has done really well with our two cats and spills from drinks/food. Pricing was affordable and lower than we expected too. Delivery to our apartment went very smoothly. They were very careful handling a huge couch and made sure we were happy with the results. Went to him with no measurement (which I don't recommend) but given what I wanted he gave me some measurements all I did was go home and check those worked. Between his floor models and images I saw online, Lalo was able to help me combine what my husband and I liked into something that met our budget and comfort. The price was about 500 less than something I saw at a furniture store in Santa Anita Mall and the style, handmanship, and finishings were superior than the store model. Huertas Furniture exceeded my expectations. Eddie , Lalo's son, followed up with me a couple of times during the construction time and was in charge of the delivery. Picked up our dream couch yesterday and it is more than we could have hoped for or expected. Eddie is a perfectionist in the best sense of the word. Every detail matters to him and he knows what to care about and ask about to serve his customers. We live outside the delivery area and he and his team did everything to make it easy for us to purchase and pickup. He asked me to make sure everything was how we wanted it when we were picking up and I joked that it was already made. I realize now he was serious and would probably have made adjustments while we stood there if necessary.
