Same thing as the Polaris - it picks up leaves but sprays the dust up into the water for the filter to pick up and leaves your water cloudy (they should be using a hose that connects to the filter).

We were babysitting our 3 grandchildren for the weekend so they had a blast checking out the pond display and yard decor inside. The pond display has a few fish but the highlight was watching the turtle! We went outside and saw all the baby fish in the tanks and lots of pond and bog plants to choose from. We saw Sid who was working outside and we had a few questions for him. Sid was great! He was very helpful and kind, answered all of our questions and even offered up some suggestions! After we chose the plant we wanted, he carefully wrapped it up for the trip home. He made sure to tell us how to fertilize the plant and we bought some tablets to use in the future. The project manager (Amanda) and owner (Giancarlo) were both professional, helpful and available throughout the entire process. They were also able to accommodate additional projects at the last minute, including adding a French drain system to one of the side yards. Everyone involved was committed to making us 100% happy with the end product, whether that meant changing out chipped travertine tiles, recommending different design options, or making several trips to the worksite to plan out project details and ensure everything was 100% up to par. Instead of trying to fix a faulty landscaping job, Giancarlo Medrano, responded with homophobic and profanity laced texts detailing how he would confront me, has a gun and threatened to send "his people" over. He also proceeded to label the house that he worked on (a rental property that I manage) as "cheap" and then goes on to brag about his rental property. He seemed so extremely proud about his financed house. Anyway, I had blocked his phone number after the incident but could see more of his texts through my old Apple ID. In these texts, he went from playing Mister Tough Guy to the victim and claimed that I had been the one who harassed and threatened to kill him and claims to have made police and FBI reports. A complete 180 and a testament to his character. What a quality guy. If you run into any problems with his work, be prepared for a load of excuses and insults. Summary of communications via phone calls and texts: *Half year of receiving the run-around (ie. Too busy, out of town, admin forgot to get back to me, blamed others, etc.) to fix the flowerbeds and add the missing drain holes *After many months passed thinking that Giancarlo was working to schedule in a fix, he started blaming the situation on his cousin. He then suggested that I pay a small amount, to which I found agreeable, for the flowerbeds to be fixed. Now he claims that I wanted a free fix... go figure. *I warned Giancarlo about the consequences for not taking ownership of this situation. Gave plenty of opportunities to fix before posting a review that seemed to upset him. *Giancarlo continues to claim that I own the home despite me explaining over the phone that I wasn't the owner and that I just there to help manage the property. *Giancarlo threaten to sue me. I gave him my lawyer's contact and I have yet to receive any contact attempts. *Giancarlo claims that I would be contacted by the police and FBI. I have yet to receive any contact attempts. In conclusion, I can't say that I would recommend doing business with an egotistical owner who tries to gip you at every corner, changes stories and takes no responsibility. The owner, Brad, is refusing to return the money and give us an itemized breakdown of all cost and labor. He has threaten to countersue me if I take any legal action and has name dropped his Attorney, A. H., to attempt to intimidate me. Below is a summary and I have attached a more detail timeline of events. May 31, 2023. Agreement. Total Cost $62,950. Verbally discussed with Byron (Sales person) that I needed the project completed July 4th. As of July 5th, I have given SunStone Pools $36,950 and they have only completed $20,550 worth of work. On June 20, due to an argument with Brad, owner, over a timeline where he shouted and called my idea to fill the pool back up because it was cracking due to the extreme heat stupid. I received a timeline via email with milestones and an agreed completion date of July 14 from Byron at the direction of Mark (marketing) who had de-escalated the situation the day before. After the owner had asked his workers to leave my house. By July 5, I started receiving text and calls that they were having trouble sourcing the travertine that they knew back on June 19 that they had to pre order 3 weeks in advance. That night I sent an official notification to everyone that I needed that project completed by the agreed date of July 14, 2023 as agreed verbally and in writing. On July 6. Brad sent me an email cancelling the project because according to him, me asking for the project to be completed by the date that was agreed verbally and in writing was "anticipatory breach of contract." SunStone Pools stopped work and abandon the job, so I requested an itemized breakdown of all costs and labor to determine the exact amount owed to us and that any money owed to us be returned by July 10, 2023 end of day. Brad the owner has refused. I filed a claim with the BBB and his only response was that he cancelled the project because I "promised not to pay" which is lie and I submitted the email as proof. This has been a nightmare for me and my family and yet he continues to attempt to re write history with his own narrative to justify what he did to us. I just want the thousands of dollars that was given to him to complete a job to be returned to me so that I can start cleaning up the mess that his company left behind. Please Beware !

Recently we noticed that a number of the travertine pavers had shifted, including a number around the perimeter of the deck. Some also had cracked. Because of Sunstone's previous excellent work, we contacted Brad for advice. He soon had an awesome team of workers on the job, lifting the old pavers, leveling, and installing new pavers in appropriate areas. They also shored up the perimeter of the deck, inserting rebar so that the shifting would not occur again. We are grateful for the excellent team of workers and the professional job done in a very timely manner. We are very satisfied with the total experience and highly recommend Sunstone Pools and Outdoor Living.

We contracted with River Mist Pools because even though they were higher, they were very nice folks with a stellar reputation. We could live with the fact that they took literally twice as long to build our pool than the timeline they presented to us because we know that this is construction during the summertime in Texas and things happen. However, at the end of the process, our beautiful pool was about tree inches too shallow (it's supposed to be 5 feet deep) and it was quite unlevel. I want to make clear that the very first time River Mist filled the pool, both my family and the River Mist guys recognized that the pool was not level. They immediately agreed to repair the pool and we all decided to do the repair the following spring to give the pool more time to settle. The repair was supposed to take two weeks but instead took five. They finished and re-filled the pool in May (again no issue there...I understand). But then River Mist began demanding their money. I offered to pay River Mist 5K of the remaining 10k but I wanted to hold the other 5k until I consulted with an attorney about my position in this matter (which I'm in the process of now). My feeling is that since I didn't get exactly what I contracted for why should I have to pay full price. . I've already paid 108K. Am I entitled to a discount on the remaining 10k? This is where the issue stands now. If I could go back in time, I would choose a different pool builder. Nice folks but...
