The grounds and buildings are impressive along with the small art gallery and gift shop. It is worth stopping to check out if you're in the area.

Just taking roads and finding out where it leads us. A tip while on this road pull over if you have traffic behind you, show aloha to the locals. You're on vacation they need to get to work. Drive down this road we came across this sign shop local, I'm all about that!!! We turned in to this beautiful ground that is like drive up to a house only the rich and famous would live. Ethel Baldwin once lived here 1917 and passed away in 1967. The house and ground are now an art school open to the public. There are art classes you can partake in. I can see why, the view the inspiration you get by just being there. Inside the house is now a place you can buy all kinds of local one of a kind art, which is very beautiful. We managed to walk the founds and admire the beauty. Parking is plenty. Be mindful of the vehicle coming in or going out, one lane traffic. You'll know what I mean when you come and check this place and leave with your precious Mementoes. Well worth the stop here even to just enjoy the scenery.

Don't miss out on all the great events and local artists works to gift to special people. We had a wonderful time at Hui Holidays First Night. We love stopping by all year long but Christmas time here is a little extra special. Plenty of parking. Lovely grounds. It's just a great place to visit!

So many great classes! Plus it's so worth visiting if you are from out of town! The grounds are beautiful and people are welcoming. Please try one of the local Hawaiian classes like the lei making classes! I have lived here all my life and loved exploring the Lei Po'o wili class and Rose was the Best! I will be back soon to bring family and friends!! Maybe a great idea for a team building event for your local company! I highly recommend all classes here!!

Not only is Donovan an experienced and professional guide; he is chill, compassionate, easy to talk with, and full of helpful and insider information re: Maui and Hawaii in general. I learned from him so much about local norms (i.e., driving along those switchbacks and one-lane bridges), legends, flora and fauna, and....good bathroom stops. It was very much a customized tour - and he managed a couple of special requests for me. I always felt safe, he customized the day for me; it was a most excellent way to spend a day on Maui. Thank you to Susan and Donovan for an very special, unforgettable adventure.

Not only did we get to ride in comfort with all our stuff, but we also customized every stop. We could easily say "yes" or "no" to any stop on the Road to Hana. Our tour guide Chris was excellent, informative, and fun to hang out with for the entire day. Chris had great recommendations for us and the food stops were amazing and delicious and tailored to what we were feeling or not feeling. We had a general idea of the stops we wanted to hit based on our research, but Chris went above and beyond to show us unique stops and views and scenic views. We made great memories and got to experience the road to Hana in a way that far exceeded our expectations. All though it was not the most affordable way to experience the road to Hana, we still felt it was worth the cost. It will be a great memory for us for years to come. I can now say I swam in a waterfall....a very cold one, but definitely worth it. Chris knows these roads and all the stops you might want to see, and he customized it to our level of adventure, including hikes and swims along the way. You can definitely find cheaper alternatives, but I would suggest speaking with Awapuhi Adventures to see if they can meet your needs. The pros of going private is that you are in the drivers seat (figuratively) for where and when to stop, and can skip anything that seems generic or not to your liking. The con is that it will cost some $$$. In our experience, it was worth it! Thanks again, Chris!

It was an honor to see how this small farm is maintaining the heritage and history after the large corporations have abandoned the islands. The pineapple they grow is absolutely delicious and I appreciated the opportunity to learn more about it. Our tour guide was Brian, and he was extremely funny and engaging throughout. We took a short ride from the general store, which is where you check in, up to the farm to see the various stages of growth. We learned how the pineapples are harvested and I have a newfound respect for the amount of work it takes to grow a single pineapple. The highlight for me was learning how to properly cut a pineapple, which I thought would be no easy feat, but once you know how to do it, it is extremely simple. Sampling the pineapple out in the Maui sunshine was the cherry on top. I highly recommend coming to take this tour and if not, at least stopping by the store to purchase some fresh pineapple or other pineapple related products.

She has a big heart and a crazy love for this island. We've lived on Maui for a couple years and she taught us some cool stuff that we didn't know. We hopped in her big van and had a fun tour to: -Ocean Vodka -Surfing Goat Dairy -Ali'i Lavander Farm -Ulupalaku Ranch + Maui wine And along the way she handed out fresh banana bread (that SHE baked!) and cold bottles of water (say what? So thoughtful!) As we drove, she would point out things like: the kinds of trees we were seeing, the history of this or that, how things had changed over the years... Interesting things that kept the conversation flowing. Her van has a microphone for her to use so it's great for people who sit in the back. We could hear everything she was saying. She made sure to open doors for guests and make sure the temperature inside the van was okay for everyone. There are different tours to choose from to hone in on where you want to go and what you want to see. She really knows her stuff and made us smile and laugh with her bubbly personality and energy. She caters to her guests and made us feel like her 'ohana. Thank you so much Marilyn! We had so much fun.

I was traveling alone and joined a group of others wonderful tourists that were part of the tour. Marilyn and Robbie were well versed in their knowledge of the history of the culture, agriculture and plants. The tour included stops at the lovely Lavender garden, Maui winery, and the Surfing Goat Dairy. Their timing was spot. One of the highlights of the tour was the lunch. It was in a lovely park, tucked away in a hillside, overlooking Maui, It was a perfect day. The real treat was when Marilyn pulled out her Ukulele and started singing lovely songs - one of which was "Somewhere over the rainbow". It was delightful. The tour ended with the other tourists departing at the airport. This was not just an ordinary curbside drop-off. Marilyn actually accompanied them to the check in counter and helped them get their bags through. This is not something that an ordinary tour company would do. I remained in the van and chatted with the delightful Robbie. I cannot thank Maui Country Farm Tours for such a memorable experience. It was truly one of the highlights of my trip, and I could not have done the trip alone. Marilyn has contacts and knows the inside scoop on how these various businesses operate. Please consider her tour as an option for you to see the back country of beautiful Maui. You will thank yourself and you will make a friend or two.

Pono is the kindest, most personable, enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and flexible guide you could ever hope to have. He drove us to the "must see" locations on Maui, Hawaii, and Kaui and along the way he gave us information about Hawaiian culture and customs, ancient history, music and dance, language, foods, and wildlife. Some of the highlights of our tours included Volcanoes National Park, Waimea Canyon, Iao Valley, beautiful waterfalls, sea turtle sightings, tropical gardens, and visits to a macadamia nut farm, a coffee plantation, and a pineapple plantation. He hand-made leis for each of us, shared organic fruits from his own garden and did everything he could to make the two people in our group with birthdays enjoy their special days. Not only were our requests honored, Pono exceeded our expectations beyond our wildest. Pono's knowledge of Hawaii's geology, geography, culture and customs, food, music, flora and fauna, and the Hawaiian language, are stunning. He paid keen attention to our nine-year old grandson which impressed us. Our visits to various beaches, hiking trails, waterfalls, sea turtle sites, whale watching sites, and meals, were thrilling and delicious! Please note that the sites we visited were out of the way and we hardly saw any other travelers. Pono is a tour guide, and he also farms tropical fruits. During our tour, in the afternoon, Pono's farming skills knocked us out. He brought an entire buffet of home-grown tropical fruits for our enjoyment, and they were, flat out, sensational. I've done the Road to Hana tour before, and had a great experience but it was on a bigger tour trip. We had an amazing tour guide that time, but I came this time with my FIANCÉ and his mom who have never been to Hawaii and I was afraid if we got a boring tour guide, it would be a LONG day. I started looking on Yelp in hopes it would help me narrow down the best of the best and that it absolutely did. I saw the raves about Willie and knew it was going to be worth every penny. Willie called me to talk about what we wanted to get out of our trip, and he also checked back in the day before to reiterate details about where to meet, etc. We told him we really wanted to see beautiful waterfalls and some cool secret, less touristy spots. We began our drive and Willie pulled off on this little beach, and said he wanted to show us something. We walked down, and there were sea turtles all over the beach which just made my MIL's day right off the bat. Then we went to the most delicious breakfast spot I have ever been to, hands down. All along the way, he told us about the areas we were driving through, the weather there, and gave us cool little tidbits of information. We went to the Garden of Eden where to my surprise, I got ENGAGED! Willie was so sweet and so happy for us, hugs all around. He truly made that moment, and the whole day really feel like we were with a friend we'd known forever. We went to the most amazing, secret waterfall and got to swim in the swimming hole and jump off rocks with no one else around! This was the absolute most beautiful spot I've ever been in my life and we never would've found it on our own or without Willie. Anyways, we did so much and there are so many details I could share but I would write a book if I shared the entire 11 hour day with you! I won't ruin all the surprises for you, but all I can say is I will never do another tour on Maui without him. Don't hesitate to book, just do it and don't go with any other company. He's truly the best!
