This tour was so educational honestly my husband and I feel like pineapple experts now! Lots of great pineapple tasting on the way and you get a pineapple on the way out! (Packed for TSA)! 100% recommend to anyone traveling to Maui! Tour guides were sweet, educated, and personable! This is also locally owned and operated by Native Hawaiians completely now and is the 2nd last pineapple farm in the US and last pineapple farm on Maui!! I bought a pineapple for this Christmas for all my family members and they all loved them so much!

Highly recommended pineapple tour. Don't let the price deter you, worth every cent. You get a pineapple and is shipable or just eat it ! It is the sweetest I've ever tasted. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable, as she grew up on the farm and knows the trails and tribulations of the business. When you visit Maui, this is a must do !

My girlfriend set up a pineapple farm tour while we were in Maui. We planned to go on our last day on the island so that we could bring fresh pineapples home with us. We had a fantastic tour visiting the processing facility and fields. Tasting various pineapples at different flavor profiles. Learning about the color of the fruit as it relates to the sugar to citric acid balance and how that relates to the flavor of the fruit. After the tour was completed we were each given a pineapple to take home. Once in the gift shop we had the opportunity to purchase additional pineapples as well as various gifts. I highly recommend the Maui pineapple tour.

First time in Hawaii and so glad this was a destination for me and the family. Colton was so friendly, informative and welcoming to us all. I would definitely come back, and I'm glad to know how to find a ripe pineapple.

We took this tour in January and absolutely loved it! Our guide was so knowledgeable about the farm, taking us through the growing and harvesting process. I had no idea pineapples made flowers! Also loved eating the pineapple right there in the field. It was perfect. It's a great experience for both adults and kids. I highly recommend it.

Our tour guide Tatiana was very informative and helped our family have even more respect for pineapple farmers and businesses it was very cool to learn about the farmers and it's crazy what they can accomplish being their ages! Will definitely recommend for others!

I went on the Maui Gold Pineapple Tour for the first time and was blown away--not just by the incredible pineapples, but by what I learned about the industry behind them. The tour itself was fun, informative, and well-run. You get to walk through the fields, see the process up close, and taste the freshest pineapples you'll ever try. Maui Gold pineapples are on another level--super sweet, clean-tasting, and almost floral. The grounds even smelled like cotton candy. It's truly unlike any subpar pineapple you've had from the mainstream grocery store. But what really stuck with me was the behind-the-scenes reality. We learned how Dole still has a grip on Hawaii's agriculture through laws that prevent future pineapple farming once operations like Maui Gold shut down. That means when Maui Gold is gone, that's it--no more pineapples from Maui. It's heartbreaking and frustrating to hear that this iconic part of Hawaii's heritage is being priced out of existence. Even more concerning is the human side: the workforce is aging, and there's no one to replace them--not because there's no interest, but because young people simply can't afford to live here and work in agriculture. It's a stark reminder of the broader issues Hawaii is facing when it comes to sustainability and protecting local industry. This tour gave me a deep appreciation for what Maui Gold is doing, and a sobering perspective on how fragile it all is. If you're visiting Maui, don't miss this tour. It's not just about tasting incredible fruit--it's about understanding the bigger picture and supporting something truly local while it still exists. If you know anyone with deep pockets please let's increase wages, build comfortable local housing that workers and their families can utilize and let's keep Maui Gold alive and thriving!!!

Great tour, very informative and I really appreciate the pineapple even more now! Kennedy was full of knowledge and so passionate about the pineapples and Maui Gold as a company and family. After hearing about all of the hard work and challenges that Maui Gold has faced I just have so much gratitude and respect for this farm. We got 6 pineapples for our family and we have already finished 4 of them. They taste amazing, sweet and fresh and I am even eating the core now that I know all of the benefits that come with it.

We learned so much about how pineapples are grown and harvested. It takes a lot of hard work! We have a greater appreciation for pineapple now. Our guide, Shiloh, was super knowledgeable and friendly. The setting overlooking the mountains and sea is beautiful. We recommend this tour and hope the pineapple business on Maui survives for years to come.

100% recommended! Brian was the best tour guide who made this experience amazing! He was super friendly, knowledgeable, funny and dynamic. My bf really wanted to come and visit where he orders pineapples from so we had to come. I had no real expectations for the tour and was pleasantly surprised by the experience. The time flew by, we learnt a lot about pineapples and we got to taste some fresh pineapples! The store also has a lot of cute souvenirs and if you buy pineapples there, you can choose your own pineapple.

my friends and i loved the maui pineapple tour!!!! our tour guide was informative and personable. we checked out the factory and two fields: one where baby pineapples were growing, and another where the big pineapples were growing. we even got to try some pineapple in the middle of it! the tour guide transported us around in a bus with A/C and cold water. we even got to take home a maui gold of our own, well worth the price!!!

We could not have had a group that meshed BETTER than all of us. Our guide Henry clearly knew "the good spots" because we didn't stop anywhere that anyone else was... he made us climb down treacherous "root ladders" and walk through the coldest water up to our necks but his ideas were always SO worth it. The shop had a nice assortment of other gifts, as well as the truffles. The truffles were definitely my favorite. You can just get one if you want, or you can pick out several to make a box to take home. We walked around and saw the area where the babies/young goats played on the surfboards, which is super cute. The adults are all over in different areas, and you will even see them on the roofs of different buildings. The tour would have been nice to learn some history and information, but it is still really nice to go without the tour. It was a fun and peaceful little experience.

We had a general idea of the stops we wanted to hit based on our research, but Chris went above and beyond to show us unique stops and views and scenic views. We made great memories and got to experience the road to Hana in a way that far exceeded our expectations. All though it was not the most affordable way to experience the road to Hana, we still felt it was worth the cost. It will be a great memory for us for years to come. I can now say I swam in a waterfall....a very cold one, but definitely worth it. Chris knows these roads and all the stops you might want to see, and he customized it to our level of adventure, including hikes and swims along the way. You can definitely find cheaper alternatives, but I would suggest speaking with Awapuhi Adventures to see if they can meet your needs. The pros of going private is that you are in the drivers seat (figuratively) for where and when to stop, and can skip anything that seems generic or not to your liking. I've done the Road to Hana tour before, and had a great experience but it was on a bigger tour trip. We had an amazing tour guide that time, but I came this time with my FIANCÉ and his mom who have never been to Hawaii and I was afraid if we got a boring tour guide, it would be a LONG day. I started looking on Yelp in hopes it would help me narrow down the best of the best and that it absolutely did. I saw the raves about Willie and knew it was going to be worth every penny. Willie called me to talk about what we wanted to get out of our trip, and he also checked back in the day before to reiterate details about where to meet, etc. We told him we really wanted to see beautiful waterfalls and some cool secret, less touristy spots. We began our drive and Willie pulled off on this little beach, and said he wanted to show us something. We walked down, and there were sea turtles all over the beach which just made my MIL's day right off the bat. Then we went to the most delicious breakfast spot I have ever been to, hands down. All along the way, he told us about the areas we were driving through, the weather there, and gave us cool little tidbits of information. We went to the Garden of Eden where to my surprise, I got ENGAGED! Willie was so sweet and so happy for us, hugs all around. He truly made that moment, and the whole day really feel like we were with a friend we'd known forever. We went to the most amazing, secret waterfall and got to swim in the swimming hole and jump off rocks with no one else around! This was the absolute most beautiful spot I've ever been in my life and we never would've found it on our own or without Willie. He's truly the best!

Ryan even sent us home with a "4-pack" of coconuts so we could have some fresh coconut water for the rest of our trip. Highly recommend - please go check it out!
