The WORST. I have seen many dermatologists and this was the worst experience I ever had over…read moremultiple visits. Dr. Laing is just here to turn a profit. I saw Dr. Laing for a skin outbreak issue and she sent me home with some medication. I noticed some new issues on my skin and called the office - the woman I spoke with - who apparently had no medical knowledge - told me I should come in again. I returned for another visit and Dr. Laing saw me for 30 seconds and said I shouldn't have come in, I needed to wait out the medication. Then their office proceeded to bill me for the nonessential visit and I got a $70 bill. I called the office and explained that I was incorrectly directed to come into the office and I wasn't really seen at all. Their raised my concerns with Dr. Laing and she said too bad - you scheduled, so you have to pay. I went in one more time, and I had a few questions about hair loss and potential dermatology issues. Dr. Laing said she couldn't discuss it at all and hair issues had to be a totally separate visit in three parts. The first visit she could discuss the issue with me and the second visit she could examine and the third visit she would talk through the diagnosis, if any. And I'm sure she would be billing the whole time! I switched to Granger Dermatology over on Huron Parkway and they are wonderful! I had a quick visit, the doctor even answered my hair questions on the fly.

I have been to a different dermatologist's private practice (still go there for Botox), michigan medicine dermatology and both places prescribed dandruff shampoos that were too harsh for me and made it worse. Dr. Laing knew about an oil in combination with a shampoo that fixed my scalp in no time. She also got rid of eczema on my leg. Sadly, I just called to get my dad in for a skin check and they are not taking new patients at the moment. Clearly I'm not the only one who thinks highly of Dr. Laing!

I usually feel ill at ease when seeing a new doctor for the first time, but the moment my doctor stepped into my room with that big smile on her face I knew that I didn't have to look any further...I felt at home. When a person suffers from depression and anxiety, it's a very good feeling to know that this is by far the best doctor I've had in a long time. The rest of the staff have always treated me with respect, even though I wonder how they put up with me sometimes. They have very good behavioral health therapists that really take the time to listen. I have a personal favorite that I can talk to very easily and she's one that knows me better than my own family. This wonderful lady has been my rock and has saved me more times than I can count. Give this place a try...you'll be glad you did.

She never hesitates to call back or answer requests promptly. She is also very kind and compassionate, she has a great bedside manner, which is not easy to find. The office staff is very professional and great at their positions. The front end is well organized which makes the visit flow well.

I had to 1 appt and they claim I canceled another because husbands appt was running late and he had no control. Trying to cancel appts and try to reschedule and somehow this did not meet their requirements. They fired me from the whole practice as I supposedly ruined the doctor patient relationship although I had never met him. I had not had to cancel in an emergency situation in the 3 years I had been treat by a PA. They sent me a bill. Since I was fired, they sent me a letter referring me to the 2 big hospitals in town.

We had a moment of confusion concerning my gender, but the Medical Staff was only unfamiliar with my paperwork dilemma. ("Is this an Insurance form or a Medical Form?" is the sort of question a Non-Binary person has to ask when there is only a binary checkbox and it is almost never labeled with the correct terminology. Obvs, nobodies fault stuff like that happens all the time. :) The Medical Assistants were all quick, efficient and genuinely pleased to be of service! They got me in early for my appointment too. I won't say my Doctor's name, but they were openly and respectfully curious as to how they might be of service to a Transgender Person, when so often the past told a different story. :( My Doctor addressed my every concern and meeting with them was very pleasant. The fish tank next to the check-out desk has an _Actual_Literal_Sea_Urchin_! They are very black, except for their orange rude part, and about nine inches across. The Staff Person at the check-out desk was friendly and enthusiastic! They walked me through every step of the check-out process with a smile! The Medical Assistant thanked me for coming in today! I am totally 100% assured that they will follow up with me at every opportunity and that our relationship will continue to be successful and pleasant.

She never did, went there the next day in person and spoke to a nurse practitioner (Beth)who changed the prescription. Her attitude was horrible, told me I was rude for asking to speak with someone in person. She said that my situation was not an urgency, and that it was rude to show up in person to ask for the correction to be made. Then she went on to claim that the reason behind their ineptness was lack of employees. Let me be frank, she is an awful person with a passive aggressive attitude who should not be allowed to speak with patients. Please avoid this place

The focus is directed to…read morethe patient and making them comfortable from the time of arrival and throughout the appointment. Dr May is personable and caring. She has expertise and knows how to explain it well in layman terms. She listens and answers questions. She is also friendly and easy to talk with. Her ability to treat neuropathy issues is, in itself, an unusual practice to find...I have only heard of treating the pain (the symptoms) before. She is diagnosing and treating the issues causing the symptoms. Wow! We sure do need more doctors to focus on that! Thank you Dr May and staff!
