Dr. Takyi delivered my first, Dr. Herta my second, and I'm currently pregnant with No. 3. Dr. Herta is my primary OB, and I love her, but I've liked all of the OBs, NPs and the CNM that I've met there. The nurses are fantastic (one in particular always goes out of her way to aak about my kids), and the front desk staff has always been friendly and helpful. On the occasions when I've had a problem, someone has always gotten back to me right away. My current baby has given us a lot of worries, but whenever I've called in with a question or concern, they've gotten me in right away for a checkup (and ultrasound, if necessary). A good friend also went through a pregnancy with some unknowns (due to her own health issues) with Dr. Herta and was very happy with her. MMP OB/GYN is definitely known around town as one of the more natural childbirth-friendly practices. In the two deliveries I've had with them, there were minimal interventions (as per my request), and I felt like both were fantastic experiences. My only complaint about the practice is that it can be a little difficult to get in, particularly to see Dr. Herta, of you aren't pregnant or having a major problem, or if you're a new patient.

I really wish that we had shopped around more. We've both seen several different doctors, because it can be difficult to make an appointment with the doctor they assigned as our primary care physician. After initially seeing him for my physical, I returned two weeks later for a pap smear and he didn't remember me. With a few exceptions, the staff do not come across as friendly, and I usually feel like I'm inconveniencing them simply by being there for my appointments. When I've brought health concerns to the doctors I've seen, they have repeatedly dismissed or ignored my reports, sometimes allowing treatable conditions to worsen before they take them seriously enough to treat them. When my husband developed sciatica, he received no advice or treatment at all until his third visit to seek treatment. He was simply told to wait and see if it went away, despite the fact that it was causing him a great deal of pain. When he was finally referred to a physical therapist, his pain decreased drastically and he has been able to maintain the improvement at home. MMP has been singularly unhelpful compared to the various other doctors/facilities I've used in the past. We're moving soon, and I can't wait to shop for a doctor who'll actually be able to see me at appointments and who will actually treat me promptly if I'm sick or in pain.

They go out of their way to ensure you receive the proper care; and there is rarely a wait. If there is something beyond their capacity, they will not hesitate to refer you. They know the best place to refer you so that you receive prompt care. I get all of my testing done there without the horrendous wait that other facilities experience.

We had the same experience as others that wrote reviews. The office staff is horribly rude I was told I was gonna see the actual doctor and then when I asked about it the girl that did my blood pressure and vitals was very snotty and explain to me that the PA is just as qualified. Which most are I will agree with that but when you're told as a new patient you are going to see the doctor and in they switch it and then get nasty when you ask about it not very good 1st impression. I went in for some chest discomfort and may sent me to a lab and they did $2000 worth of lab work which was totally unnecessary when asked other physicians of the same situation. Then never sent us a bill Then was nasty to my wife when she went there for her 1st time. My wife broke her tailbone and had an X-ray from urgent care they did not even show her the X-ray and just said Yup it's fractured. She did not feel comfortable with the diagnosis she went to a different doctor they not only shoulder the X-ray but made an appointment for an orthopedic surgeon because it needed to be seen. My wife went back for a second appointment where they were supposed to fax over her disability form to her employer 20 days later they did finally did send a fax with the nothing that was requested that they needed. The office manager is by far the rudest her name is Linda good luck with dealing with her, she told my wife that they can't just help her out and that they get at it at their own time. We have recorded calls with the office if anybody wants to hear I'm I'll send them to you of how rude they are when it comes to patients. They charge more than any other doctors office we've ever been to it's actually cheaper to go to urgent care than it is to see them. We are so upset that at office would not help their patients. Read the rest the reviews of this place before you make a decision to deal with this office. We will be filing a complaint with the state of Michigan medical board, department of human affairs, Better Business Bureau and the Attorney General. People need to know about this place . So we got a letter the next day stating that they were no longer going to provide medical care for our family. I guess you can't call and ask questions.

I have had vertigo for more than 20 days now which at times makes one feel as though they are losing life as normal. Katie did the Epley maneuver and released some of the vertigo discomfort. I intend to follow up with two more sessions and see the healing hands at this institute bring my life back to as close to normal in this imperfect world. Katie was kind, gentle and patient and gave a calming environment to my medical situation. Thank God for medical workers like Katie who are gifted with skills and mercy.

A high level of professional skills. I can and will recommend the Therapy Institute to other people. The therapy sessions were very helpful to me, I learned also some exercises which should help me to keep in a shape. If I have to return for any therapies in the future, I will go right there.
