Save yourself time and money by coming to get your checkups and vaccines here for your furry (or…read morehairless) friend. I was going to another vet in the city and getting charged $95 just for being seen for 10 minutes. The tech fee is half of that here. There's a large parking lot. And they're quick. My dog has come here for her regular vaccines, the vaccine clinics, her annuals, and when she's not feeling well. I've had a few administrative issues with email/contact information so that could use a little work. Otherwise, I love coming here. I can't say the same for my dog, because every time she comes she has to step on a scary scale and/or get poked. But this is to be expected!

Humane Animal Rescue of Pittsburgh (HARP) is a nonprofit that operates veterinary medical centers…read more(mostly for preventative care and NOT for emergencies), a shelter, and a Wildlife Rehabilitation Center. This location in the East Side of Pittsburgh has a veterinary center and a shelter and also offers obedience training classes. In the past several years, I have visited this HARP many times. In 2015, I adopted two cats from the shelter (for details, please see my previous review below). These two cats still happily live with my family and me. Most recently, I donated several bags of pet supplies to this shelter. HARP collects new and gently used pet supplies for Ellie's Attic, which then gives the supplies to families who have pets and are financially struggling. I dropped off dog beds, cat beds, dog bowls, disposable diapers, a sweater, a training bell, etcetera. I placed the bags near the entrance inside the building. An employee at the front desk kindly thanked me for my donation and asked if I needed a donation receipt. Next, I asked the employee if I could visit the dogs who are available for adoption. Unfortunately, the dogs could not be visited on that day, but I was allowed to view a binder that contained printed descriptions of the dogs. I did visit the cats, and I felt pleased with the size and cleanliness of their cages.

I was getting ready to buy Fortiflora for him after having him on a chicken and rice diet anyways... $153 for them to examine and then they're going to check poop for parasites.. which I know he doesn't have. $94 for the diagnostic exam, which was a quick hands on check for any obvious signs and then $49 for poop screen Then another $75 for Fortiflora and Metronidazole The metronidazole 500mg can be gotten online for $12, they charged me $42 Fortiflora is $34.99 at petco on sale for $30.00 and they charged me $43 Just crashing out over a waste of time. They were super kind and professional. Just doing their job. But if your dog isn't actually sick and just has diarrhea just get metronidazole and Fortiflora online and save yourself the diagnostics, poop exam, and overcharge on medicine especially some otc stuff. IF my pets were actually sick, I'd totally come back, just never seeing a vet over liquid poo ever again

One of the things I love about this office is that they have walk-in sick hours every weekday morning. This is huge, as there have been occasional concerns we've had about our cats, but this allowed us to avoid crazy emergency visit charges. We are also able to schedule out Saturday appointments, where we can both bring the cats (it can be a lot to get them in their carriers by yourself) if needed. Their appointments do fill up fast but their walk-in hours are a great option if you are in a bind. They are also great about refilling my one cat's meds and helping answer questions etc. The staff is always nice and helpful, and the place itself is always clean. We are very happy coming here.

I…read moreasked her to take photos of my two kittens in the spring of 2018 and they came out perfectly! I would take pictures of my cats with my phone all the time, but I really wanted a professional to take some pictures and just capture the essence of how cute and meaningful they are to me. Unlike phone pictures, they have a great background, are not blurry, and the pictures capture the entire kittens' bodies. Lisa was so gentle and approachable with the kittens and they took to liking her and playing with her right away. It's so hard to have kittens sit still, but Lisa was able to use a brilliant combination of toys and distractions to get the perfect shots. Lisa also spent a very meaningful and extended time with me to make sure the pictures were perfect during and after the photo-shoot date. Best of all, my kittens grew up so quickly, so I love looking back on those old pictures when they were little

Lisa was beyond pleasant to work with. Her personality was also very charming which helped a lot along the way, because we were both amateurs at posing. She brought her assistant for our photoshoot, Paul, who was also as charming. I received my engagement photos in the USB last week and as expected, the pictures were amazing. Our families love them too. It's totally worth it to spend a little bit extra money to get all the photos, especially when the work was excellent and the pictures turn out very beautiful. If our wedding was in town, Lisa West would definitely be our wedding photographer. I highly recommend Lisa for anyone who is looking for a photographer that is personable, professional and "super on-time" with her work. I have heard other photographers that promised you one day, but you wouldn't get your photos until weeks/months later, so be careful with your choice because of course, everyone is excited to see their beautiful photos. Thank you Lisa and Paul for all the hard work.

They have a safe environment and trainers that are able to provide my pup socialized skills, clarity in communication and time that I wasn't able to provide him with. Honestly, all their trainers are so passionate about dogs, they care about them so much and advocate for the dog's success, they will all help you to become a better and responsible dog parent. I LOVE that they help me strengthen the bond with my beloved one and there for me all the way through (super responsive!) My pup came home more confident, focus and happy. The upsetting part was that I wished I had known and started with them and not waste my money on other trainings prior! I'm definitely coming back here when I get my second dog. It's SO worth it.
