I never realized there were several businesses inside the business right next to Sprouts. I always thought "Sola" was a salon but there are actually many businesses inside-- Humble Bee Sugaring Studios is one of those businesses. I am in my third trimester of pregnancy and had a great experience with Brea. I had expressed that I was I was feeling a bit self-conscious and anxious and Brea helped me feel less so with her calm and professional manner. (Side note, she likes to read so I found talking about books with her to be a great way to distract myself). It sounded like Brea had waxed a number of pregnant ladies already in her waxing career so that was reassuring. I thought she did a phenomenal job. I swear it wasn't as painful as waxing for me in the past had been and I was really happy with the results. I had forgotten my jacket but the company even texted me so I could return and get it. Excellent service all around. I also really liked the studio. It was clean inside and there were a lot of cute signs and things to look at that fit with the bee theme. I do wish they could have decorated the ceiling somehow as that was mainly my view during the service-- perhaps a dangling bee garland would be cute? I will say I wish they had an extra curtain or partition of some sort (what are those called, a Japanese room divider?). You enter through a door and then they pull the curtain closed to cover the door. Maybe they could put one more curtain perpendicular to that one at the foot of the bed just to give a little bit more sense of peace of mind regarding privacy. Overall, I'd highly recommend getting sugar waxing done here. It's a very nice and clean place. read more

My 3rd appt w/Humble Bee and must say I'm very satisfied! Pros: Amanda is fast & efficient, salon is clean , accessibility is great ( parking, location), sugaring better than waxing Cons: pricey for sugaring Overall I prefer sugaring as less painful and less chance of in grown hairs, but cost is up there so I do buy packages of 3. Stopped by the south meadows studio to get a Brazilian and I forgot I'm almost, not all the way built for sugaring. This is my second time getting waxed with sugar so I identify as a newbie and I'm okay with that. If there is one beauty service that could humble any woman it's a wax appt. I arrived to my appt and was right on time w/ the room set and ready to go. I was waxed by the amazing Amanda. She did my first wax at humble bee some months back so I was happy when I got scheduled with her again. I was pretty confident before my appt and that all went out of the window by the time I got situated on the table. Amanda was very gentle, patient, yet quick with my service. I wanted to cry because I'm still not used to the pain, but I took it like a champ as Amanda agrees. She took into account it was only my second time so she gave me much grace. Amanda provided me all the necessary info for up keep and how sugaring gets better with time both benefits for the hair growing in the area as well as the pain. We discussed my dark areas and how I would like to brighten them so she recommended one of the studios hydrojelly vajacial masks. Been wanting to try a mask in my delicate area so I've decided to go with a vajacial on my next visit. My fav thing about Humblebee is the efficiency and use of technology. Waxing in general is not a pleasant experience. BUT, Amanda was wonderful and made it not suck so much. Scheduling with Humble Bee was super easy through the portal on their website. She offered appointments really early, which makes it easy to get in and out and start your day. I was done with my wax before 8am. She's located inside the Sola Salons and parking is super easy with such a big lot. Through the waxing process she talked to me like normal the whole time. It made me feel super comfortable with her and helped distract from the pain! This was also my first time trying sugar wax and I liked it a lot more than your "traditional," wax. It was slightly less painful, less chemicals (I think there's no chemicals, actually), and it's better for the environment. I will definitely be back and I highly recommend! read more
