I am in my third trimester of pregnancy and had a great experience with Brea. I had expressed that I was I was feeling a bit self-conscious and anxious and Brea helped me feel less so with her calm and professional manner. (Side note, she likes to read so I found talking about books with her to be a great way to distract myself). It sounded like Brea had waxed a number of pregnant ladies already in her waxing career so that was reassuring. I thought she did a phenomenal job. I swear it wasn't as painful as waxing for me in the past had been and I was really happy with the results. I had forgotten my jacket but the company even texted me so I could return and get it. Excellent service all around. I also really liked the studio. It was clean inside and there were a lot of cute signs and things to look at that fit with the bee theme. I do wish they could have decorated the ceiling somehow as that was mainly my view during the service-- perhaps a dangling bee garland would be cute? I will say I wish they had an extra curtain or partition of some sort (what are those called, a Japanese room divider?). You enter through a door and then they pull the curtain closed to cover the door. Maybe they could put one more curtain perpendicular to that one at the foot of the bed just to give a little bit more sense of peace of mind regarding privacy. European Wax Center is a business where people come for personal, body-focused services, and many clients are already feeling vulnerable. My request was very straightforward: have the grown-out sections re-highlighted and brighten the rest of my hair so that the overall color was even more blonde and brighter. Unfortunately, I left the salon with brown hair. It honestly looks like she just made it go back to my natural hair color. I have never, ever left a salon with my hair darker than when I walked in, especially when I specifically asked for my hair to be brighter and more blonde. It's really frustrating spending $300 and then getting the exact opposite of what I was asking for. Especially since I will now have to spend even more in the LA area where I live to fix it.
