She keeps you engaged in conversation which helps take your mind off all the pokes. She talked me into coming to get a facial and I had no idea what to expect. It's been years since I had a facial. KK was suppose to do my facial, but wasn't available so CiCi (or spelt CeCe) took care of me instead. Yo! The facial hurt like hell! Had me tearing up, lol. It was painful, but my face felt so nice and clean afterwards! CiCI was very nice and sweet. She was honest and very knowledgeable. She showed me the paper with my ugly pores and gunk, lol. It was disgusting. We even joked around a bit too! I have a lot of tattoos and I mentioned how the facial hurts more than getting a tattoo, lol. But the massage was very comfortable and relaxing. The entire process was overall excellent and I enjoyed it. I caught myself dozing off a few times. Yes, my face was red after but also glowing. CiCi also said that I have some skin tags she can pluck or laser them off next time. She mentioned there is numbing cream which I'll probably need. I heard it's painful, lol. I'm scared. Luckily their location was not terrible to find, as there was ample street parking. When I walked in, the warm and friendly receptionist greeted and made me feel right at home. Throughout my visit, Shannon shared me with her wealth of knowledge of the various AHAs as well as retinoid products. I love that we were able to geek out on which products to use to achieve brightening effects. She also made some recommendations based on my skin type such as mandelic acid instead of glycolic acid for gentle exfoliation. Without trying to oversell me her products, she suggested that I try over-the-counter Nizoral antifungal wash for possible white-heads that pop up occasionally as well as prescription tretinoin since I had a few hyperpigmented spots that I wanted to fade/brighten. Given it was my first time there, she did allow me to use my credit card to pay but informed me that she only accepted cash or checks to help keep operating costs down. Since my back issues were minor based on her assessment, I did not schedule a return visit. I so very much appreciate her sound and scientifically backed advice (I also follow various certified dermatologists on IG for general aging skin care maintenance); I definitely will be making a visit if future skin issues arrive!
