It was my very first facial, and I felt like I was in great hands the entire time. Kari came out when I stepped from the bathroom, introduced herself, and warmly reached out to greet me. Kari took me upstairs--I had no idea how large and expansive the space inside actually was. She sat me in her salon and looked at my scalp like it was telling her a story, and it was. She asked about my hair, how I care for it, and how often I wash. I have natural hair, I twist, I wash weekly, and I am always adding product. Kari showed me what was sitting underneath. She laid out every single thing she was about to use on me--about four items, including peppermint and a clay mask--and explained why. She walked me to the room. Dim light, comfortable, with linen on the bed that felt too soft for a spa. She turned on a bed warmer and gave me time to get settled. I hung my things on hooks, neatly, the way you do when someone has made a space for you. The room felt like a peaceful, bohemian sanctuary with a touch of clinical precision. Warm, but precise. Soft, but intentional. When Kari returned, she placed a light touch over my whole body across the sheets. Not pressing, just letting me know she was there. When she reached the top of my head, she said, "Take a deep breath, hold it, let it out slow." And that is where it began. Not with a hand. With a breath. She started with my face. I could feel the muscles shift, tension leaving, everything draining down toward my shoulders. Kari anchored my neck with a towel, like a hammock, and I was held still while she pulled the weight out of me. She laid a steam mask over my eyes, and as I lay there, Kari worked on my hair. Then came the waterfall: warm water from my scalp, across my forehead, over my face, my neck. I want to be honest about what came next, because I didn't expect it, and I don't know how to explain it, but I need you to hear it. Intrusive thoughts find me, even in serenity, even in stillness. They come. But they didn't. Lying there, water falling across my face, every thought that came was good. I was back to the first time I held my babies, back to moments of pure love and unfiltered joy--the kind of core memories that carry only warmth. Something in this room, this water, this touch, washed everything heavy away and replaced it with pure light. I felt like I quantum-leaped to every happiness I've ever lived. Not one negative thought entered my mind. When it ended, I told Kari the truth: this was the best treatment I have ever had. Not because of what it did to my scalp, my face, or my skin, but because it treated my body well, and it reached my mind, somewhere below where I think, and it gave me back every good thing I have ever held. I booked my next appointment before I left for October 18. I came for a 90-minute head spa. I walked out with peace I didn't know my body was holding underneath everything. CBD Float Session w/ CBD Gummies and I highly recommend! It was our first time and I was a little nervous but we had a quick instructional video we watched and staff walked us through everything and answered all questions. Now for the actual experience, you do shower first and you can bring a bathing suit if you'd like as well but each room for your session is private so it is optional. You shower before you go in and make sure you use the earplugs since you are going to be floating so to avoid it getting in your ears. There's an option to adjust the lighting and sound and to even turn it all off if you prefer a more sensory deprivation experience. You can change your selection throughout which was really nice so you can try all the different modes. One thing to keep in mind is that it is like a bunch of salt (think your at-home epsom salt TIMES A THOUSAND) so it can be a bit of a different texture at first but you can always slightly open the door and they have a spray bottle for just water or if you just need some air at any point during your session. For me, I think a good session would be about 60 min. The full 90 min. was definitely nice but I think about an hour in my mind was beginning to race a little so I think an hour is perfect! Facilities were very clean and the complimentary tea was so lovely and the staff were so kind and helpful! Highly recommend plus they have a variety of different services that I can't wait to check out!!!
