Honestly, absolutely no offense what so ever. But I think it takes a certain type of person to be able to endure this area. The student leading the tour said it's basically farming types surrounding. Small population, lots of open space, not much activity. Even though we're islanders, we're not made for that. I did like the campus size, geographically and population. Easy to get around, easy to get to know school mates. But if you're not a complete home body, I'm sure it could get old real quick. All the students we encountered were great. Friendly, helpful, engaging. We were in contact with the admission counselor prior to our visit. He made it a point to reach out personally since he is from our home town. He also came in during his time off to meet with us IRL. Gave us great advice/info. We knew right away this wouldn't be the right fit. All that to say, still everything is really nice. We did catch quite a bit of groups there for photos. Amazing scenery makes it quite popular for the gram I guess.

Although you'll be able to get into Nursing school right away in this competitive environment,…read morethink to yourself first if you really want to go here? I was not expecting how unorganized and one sided the school is. Semester 2, there was alot of changes to the syllabus and scheduling and they say one thing over the other.

Xavier College is a small school, which means you don't have a hard time gettinig a hold of staff,…read moreincluding the dean of the school if needed. She has an open door policy for students to speak with her whenever they want/need. They are very flexible on the clinical schedule which is good for those of us with kids or jobs that are not flexible. All of the instructors are very knowledgable and well respected in the fields they teach. One of our instructors is actually sought out by several schools. The time commitment is great. No Monday through Friday. Just one 8 hour day of class and 2-3 days of 12 hour clinicals/ SIM labs. There is no physical library at this time, but the school gives you E-books for each course, as well as access to saunders (both book and question bank), and ATI(physcal books, E-books, and question banks). They also are a lot more patient with semester payments than other schools. No one in my cohort failed the exit exam, so this program sets you up pretty well. Everytime we attend clinicals, we are told how greatful staff is to see Xavier students and that we are more competent by the time we graduate than students from other schools. We are allowed to start IV's, insert foleys, pass meds-of course under the nurse or our instructors supervision, but other programs don't allow student's to practice certain skills from what we've all heard. Over all, for the length of the program, the location, the price, and the training, I recommend this program to anybody who asks about nursing school. I would even come back to this school for my RN to BSN, but they are still in the process on working towards that accreditation and they said it will be a few years until that program can be up and running.

My experience with the professors has been generally good but that is where the positive ends…read moresadly. On the one hand its clear they have a need for more funding but on the other hand they also deserve a MASSIVE funding cut. The administration of Delta college is a bloated bureaucratic nightmare where the left hand has no clue what the right hand is doing. The admissions/ records office and especially the FA office is filled with rude, lazy staff that resort to their NPC response of "Oh we don't do that here". This is my first semester and already I've faced the potential of having to drop out do to zero support from the financial aid department. I've done everything required of me but getting them to lift a finger to take care of stuff on their end is like pulling teeth. I wondered if it was just me experiencing these issues but seeing their Yelp page confirms that its a systemic problem. Very disheartening. I write this review knowing nobody at the school in a position to make changes will read it so instead I write this as a warning to current and potential students. My best advice to potential students is document every correspondence with school employees, CC the director of the respective department you are contacting and follow up every few days.

But I sent like five emails, two forms, and opened the Live Chat more than 20+ times, and was denied any form of professional help, in fact, I was gaslit into feeling bad for the counselors. No response from them by the way, and this was way back in February. It's July. I wish I went to another college, honestly. I do not feel welcome. Counseling service and staff is NOT good - so Staff at SJ Delta, stop leaving fake reviews here... And I was told that I could have a Zoom call with a counselor for class registration, but when I took this to General Counseling, they said I could only go in person. Why the switch-up? Was told some of the teachers are good, so W teachers. But the counseling is absolutely horrid.

In response to the "review" from Jackie P. of Lodi…read more Its amazing how so many people "complain" about UEI and how UEI does not "find them a job". No school, including UEI promises to secure you employment! No, what we do promise is do do OUR part to give you (the student), the education (if YOU work at it), the tools (if you are PRESENT) and the resources (if you put in the TIME and WORK) to find sustainable employment in your field. I'm flabergasted at the reviews ans some of these students A.) didnt attend daily or B.) mosey'd into class when and where they saw fit or C.) didnt stay in compliance with policies including uniforms....or even a mixture of all. This is COLLEGE and you enroll as an ADULT yet a lot of students dont act like it, then in turn leave reviews like the one left by Jackie P. It doesnt matter what college the administration came from....the administration was not the cause of institutions like "Heald and Marinello Beauty Schools" (as she mentioned) closed down. I was a Heald student as well and was directly affected. Its way bigger than UEI's staff being the so called cause of their closure. UEI is NOTunprofessional, its actually one of the more professional establishments I have come into contact with. Federal money (funding) is obtained from the Dept of Education to ASSIST students in coming to school. It is not obtained fraudulently, it is approved by the federal govt and we are a fully accredited institution. You should research before commenting. Interesting how this comment comes directly after a HUGE graduation ceremony celebrating the many students who worked their way through their programs. Im wondering if you are just mad because you were not part of that? Or why even? UEI is not perfect, and we serve a population that normally gets tossed by the way side. Im very proud of the work UEI does, proud of the campus as a whole and the diversity in that campus. Im extremely proud of the strides UEI has come since opening the Stockton campus in 2011, because the UEI schools have actually been in business since 1982. Dont let a disgruntled student's review hinder your success. Come see UEI for yourself!!!! There is an opportunity coming up to sit in on classes I believe 8/23....stop by... get a feel for the campus and collect information!!! MAKE YOUR OWN DETERMINATION!

Worst service. Ever…read more I applied for the vocational nursing program. I took the tests, got high scores & was ready for the rest of the application process. My admissions' coordinator was rude, demeaning, catty. I understand she's trying to get her commission but she could have acted like she cared that I was trying to make a life's decision. I felt rushed. They were not organized. I was told to call different people, and when I did I had to repeat myself so many times with the same information. (Aren't these people in the same freakin' office?) My financial aid adviser wasn't as bad but she did forget my appointment time twice & forgot to take certain forms from me with crucial information. I was talked to like I was an idiot by my admissions' adviser many times. She asked me questions that I shouldn't have to disclose. Frankly, her job was to help me with my application process, to make me feel comfortable with my decision, to let me know that the school was right for me. Instead, I felt belittled, rushed, & unwelcome. I am turning in my Notice of Cancellation this afternoon, and attending a school with a nursing program that has actually been accredited for years... unlike Kaplan.
