This place has amazing food. Ordered the sesame beef and got a huge portion. The meat was tender and the sauce was delicious. The crab wontons are pretty awesome as well. The atmosphere is nice and inviting and the service staff is great. I would highly recommend this place. read more

Now called "Yummy" not hunans and is not safe to eat the food from. Recently ordered the hunan delight and egg drop soup. New restaurant completely changed how the food is made from when they were hunan's and tasted bad. The egg drop soup was so thick it looked like jello in the bowl. Needless to say I got very sick from this and spent the next 24 hours next to the toilet with food poisoning! I am not exaggerating about what happened. Have notified the health department as well. Alas, Hunan didn't survive the pandemic, though they managed to offer takeout only for two years. That said, Hunan has been resurrected as Yummy under new ownership. The menu is essentially the same, and it's still a very good choice for Asian cooking. We visited on a Thursday evening, and we weren't disappointed. Our meals were both very generous and nicely prepared. My sesame chicken (which is marked as spicy) could have been a bit spicier, but that's my own personal preference; it was still quite good. Was hoping to find a decent, quick to-go dinner after getting off work late. As I searched yelp, my emotional state started crumbling as I scrolled through the list of restaurants that closes on Sundays...then I found Hunan! *Insert happy dance here* I immediately called and was in such a hurry to order I didn't even have time to look at the menu. The Hunan worker was really pleasant, giving me popular dish suggestions. I ordered the curry beef extra spicy with chicken wings as appetizer. It was ready in 10 min for pick up, bazinga! Quick service and friendly staff. The curry beef had a deep curry flavor that was really tasty. There is a plethora of peas and water chestnut which is unique but I love both so I enjoyed them in my dish. The extra spicy was not too bad. I saw red pepper flakes but it was pretty mild. Overall flavorful dish that I would get again. The chicken wings are pretty standard, meaty and well fried! Easily can split between 2 people, the portions are generous. read more

Well put simply.. the rice was the Best and only "good" aspect of this meal.. the sesame chicken was..(and even typing this makes me queasy) slimy it also had several pieces of dark meat. Personally not a fan and when restaurants are using dark meat I expect it to be listed on the menu. Sweet and sour chicken was bland. First and only visit. All left overs were placed promptly in the trash with not even single thought of keeping it for a later sitting. If the food was only as good as their service. read more

Me and family go all the time for dinner, customer service is always perfect and food is absolutely delicious. Get their appetizers, spare ribs and veggie egg rolls oh my god they are out of this world so good. I have been going here for a long time.  I have tried jusy about every dish.  Each has its merits and tastes good.  Also, its reasonably priced.  The combo meals include choice of rice and a soup.  All the soups are also really good.  Wanton soup is a great sub for chicken soup when you're sick. (This is based on American Chinese food as the food here is not what I would consider authentic Chinese food.) The reason for the 3 stars instead of 4 or 5 is the last three take out orders have been an issue.  Each time they forgot items in the order.  I drive 30 minutes one way to pick it up and going back after I have found out is not an option.  Yes, it's probably my fault for not checking when I pick it up, but that doesn't excuse the the fact of the forgotten food. On another health related note...  I asked for steamed vegetable instead of rice.  I was told the were unable to fulfill this request.  I wouldn't mind paying more for the veggies because they are more expensive than rice.  Just a thought if the anyone from the restaurant reads these reviews. For reference, the items from my 3 orders missed: 1:  no soup, but had a container of sweet/sour sauce when requested none.  (Thought it was soup at the bottom of the bag) 2:  main course was not included, was an extra box of rice I wasn't expecting. 3: missing 2 soups.  I should have noticed, but big order.  Thinking of trying Panda Express so I can see the food being put together and I can get veggies instead of rice Check your orders folks.. ***update..... wife found egg shells in her fried rice. read more

This is not vegetarian friendly. I received chicken in my hot and sour soup. When I pointed it out to the waitress she was not concern and did not remove from my bill. They explained the menu as "brown sauce", what is that? Does it contain beef broth. Service slow, food nothing special and waitress does not know menu to help with dietary issues.. read more

RULE OF THUMB...if you eat at a Chiniese Restaurant and ask what is good on the menu and they suggest SESAME CHICKEN...The restaurant is for GRINGOS and they probably don't have much else that is good on the menu because they don't need to. because everybody orders the damn SESAME CHICKEN. She said we'd like a table by the window, but he told her he would have to seat us at a table that was not by the window. I came out. She asked, "Where do you want to sit?" "By the window," I said with a little irritation, as I knew she knew that was where I had said we would sit. The fellow took us to a window table. My wife told me what had happened. Really? You ignore what a woman says, and then buckle when a man says it? Be consistent. If you can't seat people at the window, then don't. Our favorite item on the menu is the Hunan Tofu but everything we've had has been good. The service is always good. The staff if friendly and attentive. Our favorite waitress is Chu - she is always friendly and is great at remembering what you like and anticipating when you need more water, rice, etc. and always with a genuine smile. Service was good but slow to get good . Very limited gluten free options ( chicken dish with white sauce or almond chicken with white sauce) . I do t understand why Hunan in Fort Collins ( family owned) can offer more gluten free options , use tamarin sauce instead of soy sauce in their dishes. Need to get with the times read more
