No this isn't PF Changs but it doesn't cost a lot either. For $8.02 including tax, a person can get a tasty hot full buffet and a cold water. That is a good deal! This was the worst restaurant I've ever ate at it was completely horrible the food was nasty dry no flavor hardly no food the general tso chicken was pink way under cooked the only thing that was good was the lil cheese wontons dessert bar was dry cereal Walmart brand pop tarts cut in 4 pieces jello and some snack pack puddings the place was disgusting dirty food all over the floors gum in the booths multiple throw up and old food and nasty crap on the roof and walls place doesnt even need 1 star I hate to be this person I never ask for my money back or complain but me and my 12 year old sons were so sad hopefully can save another family or 2 from wasting their time and money on this restaurant read more

It was very disappointing from the start!! The owner or lady in charge older Asian lady was very rude from the beginning!! I walked in and ordered a combination fried rice to go! She charged me and I gave her my credit card to pay for the order and when she was done taking the payment just threw my card back to me across the counter. So then I sat at a table by the door; the place was pretty empty. When my order was ready she proceeded to scram at me that my order was ready to come get it.( she could have brought it to me considering no one was there) but anyways I went up and grabbed it and she walked off. I looked inside the bag and saw that there was no utensils or napkins so I asked for some and she just walked off and grabbed a rag and started cleaning the tables!! Now to the food. The container was full of rice but only half of it actually had any meats. This was suppose to be a combination fried rice!! Horrible and will never go back. I should have just went to the Taco Bell down the street!! lol. That tells you how bad it was if I would have rather had Taco Bell. Be safe out there and again do not recommend from the service to the food quality. read more

Hunans used to be the only Chinese restaurant with cheap prices & good food. NOW, they have upped their prices some & expanded seating to compete with Hy-Lee on Wood Drive & China Buffet on 6th street. Their food is now very mediocre far from the best. Their buffet is limited & when items become empty no matter how many times you ask them to refill them they don't. I went today for the 1st & last time in 3yrs & must I say I should've have saved my money or went down the road to Hy-Lee. Don't let the usual customers fool you. Love the food everytime we go in! Only complaint I ever have is how cold it is in there. But the food is always hot! And the lady in the front is always so nice! It's also always clean when I go in and they rotate food and keep fresh food out! read more

First off, it deserves the low ratings for customer service alone. I called to put in a to go order and the lady answers the phone with "what!" I made sure it was the right place. I placed my order and she didn't give me an estimated time for pick up or total over the phone. I drove to the restaurant because they don't deliver. Pick up the food and leave. All of our food was warm and smelled really good. My husband said his food didn't taste right. Like it was missing something. SAUCE! They didn't sauce his food! It was just severed sautés whatever! It had no sauce! He ordered Mongolian beef which has sauce! Then we ordered lo neon for my son. They gave him spaghetti noodles(angel hair) which I think was their take on chow mai fun but still wrong. Then I ordered chicken with Chinese veg...again hardly any sauce and had a string vinegar taste to it..almost spoiled tasting. And I also ordered mixed veggies which was cooked in a beef gravy...nothing what I expected. Then comes the fried rice....no veggies barely fried at all....very very disappointed and my son refuses to eat his noodles(he's 7) because it's not what he's used to. The food here is *chef's kiss* amazing the staff here is so very nice the chicken of the chicken is DELICIOUS and the sushi here is amazing and the Crab is salty and seasoned perfectly and they use China Lilly Soy sauce instead of Kikoman. read more

I know I'm crazy for this, but the chow fun noodles are my favorite and I love the crab Rangoon! I usually take it to go because the place is typically hot and I don't enjoy eating off styrofoam plates with extremely cheap, plastic forks. The food is my favorite Chinese food in Okmulgee and I've never ordered a bad shrimp or chicken chow fun! read more

Lady who owns it is very nice. Has learned my face and knows when I get a to-go box vs when I'm in with my husband. food is average to good depending on what your likes are. they now take debit cards so I don't need cash anymore. My favorite is always the rice noodles mixed with jalapeno chicken. ;P and yes they use plastic plates but I'd rather have them cooking food instead of continually cleaning dishes. Hunan's expanded the dining area and added one more buffet service. I have eaten in a few times and never noticed any children at play since the expansion. Although they have added new tables and chairs, you still have to eat off of foam plates and plastic flatware. This is no longer my favorite Chinese Buffet in Okmulgee, but I still order take out when I am in the area. read more

It's a very overwhelming experience, because it was absolute garbage, they literally have dry cereal and animal crackers out. You also get your very own styrofoam plate along with a plastic fork. The only thing half decent is the lo mein noodles. I thought I would just give them 5 stars because I'm a nice guy and I thought they might need the business. All the reviews for this place were spot on. They only take cash and as John H said, all the disposable plates, bowls, utensils, etc. should tip you off as to how bad this place really is. I would only hope that at some point this place might dispose of themselves and shut down. I am pretty sure that an untrained primate could cook better and run a better restaurant. read more

The food has stayed the same and I prefer it from the new Chinese restaurants in Okmulgee. But I like the previous owners better. I think if I dined in often instead of takeout the current owners would open up to me more like they are to their regulars. read more

We got take-out for the family. It's been years since we've ate there because there food had got so bad. Unfortunately it's still the same, a wasted $25, but we thought we'd try. The General Tso was soggy with no flavor, the Noodles were to oily to eat, and the soup was nasty. The only thing that was decent was the teriyaki chicken sticks. read more

Okay I'm going to start this review based on food, quality, and service. Firstly paper plates and plastic forks and spoons? What kind of Chinese buffet does that. If you can't afford good plates and metal silverware, then you shouldn't open a restaurant. The cups are decent but could be better. The food is bland and tasteless. What kind of chief is back there. Does he even know how to cook Chinese food. It just looks like there was no effort in cooking the food. The rice was tasted like it was made using a microwave. There is no variety at all. Cereal for dessert are you kidding me. Lastly why do you have to throw away your plates. I did not tip them because there was no service. I hope this review helps people. Absoluely no emotion on these peoples face. No greeting. Bathrooms are nasty. Walls and booths are sticky and nasty flys and evidence of other pests in the place. Food is substandard. Food was ok. They seemed to have resolved the foam dishware issues. I counted 8 different kinds of chicken, 1 beef entree, and zero pork. The server was nice, but maybe over attentive. I might eat here again, not sure. read more

They have way more than chicken, they have several beef dishes along with pork and shrimp. The food is so freakin' delicious, I will gladly eat it on foam plates as long as they stay in business, but they do have a variety of chicken. Its also very low priced, (19.72 for us three). We love Hunan! read more
