I went there for lunch today to pick up an order and when I got home, I unpacked the order and I had thought that they had not given the crab Rangoon that I had ordered so I called them back to say I didn't get the crab Rangoon what can we do? I told him I didn't want to crab Rangoon cause I didn't wanna go back and get it. They said that the camera shows them putting it in the bag so I went back to the bag started looking around and there was a little bag of what I thought was those crispy straws that they have, but it ended up being the crab Rangoon so immediately I started to apologize to them for being mistaken because it was my fault before I could even get halfway done with the apology. They hung up on me. That's why they get it 2 for the review if they're gonna be that rude to a customer that's admitting their mistake. Imagine how they're gonna be when it's their fault. So I left an honest review about this place and the owner responded to it not only insulting me but calling me poor I got the general's chicken with broccoli I added the option for extra protein extra broccoli when I received my meal they were maybe 15 small pieces of chicken that had cartilage and bones in it the broccoli was wilted to shameful mush the fried rice was burnt and chewy and the Egg Roll was flat it had almost no filling in it so I am going to make it my mission to hit every food reviewing app newspaper everything to ruin this place read more

Came to this dump for the first time and definitely will never return. The egg rolls are tiny. The service is horrific. Our waiter was not very attentive. I had to wait over ten minutes after I asked for a glass of water to receive it. I asked for orange chicken not spicy and it came spicy with cold fried rice. It had to be remade. The waiter was definitely one of the worst I've ever had. Quite indifferent and didn't follow what was ordered. My gf got stung by a wasp in the restaurant. Some guy comes out, possibly a manager with this cold bewildered bizarre look on his face saying he would kill the wasp which he never did. She was in so much pain and swelling. There were wasps and hornets flying around all over the restaurant. After what she went through, there was a coldness indifference and heartlessness in regards to her condition where her arm was red and swollen. I've never seen people who just don't care. I asked if her meal could be taken care of and I was told no with an attitude and then agreed to take a few dollars off. States I can't comp the meal but will take care of medical costs to go to the hospital which is beyond weird to say. In total, I'm as direct as it gets. DO NOT come eat here. The food isn't that great, the service is terrible, the wasps and hornets are flying around so chances of getting stung are very high, and the nastiness and lack of heart and empathy for someone who got stung by a wasp in a restaurant establishment is beyond disgusting. We have eaten at this Chinese restaurant for years and always enjoyed, in fact was our favorite Chinese place to eat. Lately we have been disappointed and will find another restaurant. They have a newer server, and he isn't as good as he could be. The one time we waited 20 minutes to get the bill. We usually order sweet and sour chicken and is supposed to come with pineapple. Two times they didn't have the pineapple in the dinners, so we asked about it. The server said he picked up the dinners to quickly and went to the kitchen and brought a dish with pineapple. The next time we ate there, the same thing. I went to the kitchen to ask and someone different than our server asked what I needed and said our dinners were missing the pineapple. He stingily gave me 3 pieces of pineapple for 2 dinners. When I mentioned it to the server when he came back, he said I would have given you more but didn't go back and get more. Now the tea is not included in the meal; although it isn't that much but costly for what you get (they should have continued to include it with the meal). The food is always good, and they have quick service, but unfortunately, you shouldn't have to ask for what is supposed to come with the meal every time; maybe they need to either talk to the server, or something. Regardless, we are disappointed, but choose to patronize another restaurant when we want Chinese food. read more

I've been coming here for many years. Seating and service is always prompt and professional. I love the complimentary hot tea. The hot and sour soup is addictive and good for the soul. I also frequently get chicken and vegetables, with steamed rice, but make sure to order the dinner special as this includes a cup of soup and an egg roll. General Tso's is a nice treat as well. This place is getting 5 stars because this place is in the middle of nowhere and really shouldn't have good chinese food, but they do. I got the shrimp with mixed vegetables and chicken fried rice, and I was able to get two small sizes as opposed to a huge portion. Being that I like to be a thin person, this is the coolest option. Two meals for only $11.00! Yeah! I got both dishes spicy and they were great! The shrimp was clean (no poop-shoots=BIG plus!) and the veggies were fresh. The other big plus? NO added MSG! I go here all the time! It is well worth the 30 minute drive from my house. The prices are great, it is usually only $25 for my boyfriend and I to eat dinner and leave a generous tip. The portions are perfect. When we pick up food to go, it isn't too greasy and tastes just as good as it does when we dine in. I absolutely love their crab rangoons and homemade duck sauce. Food and sushi are good we used to frequent this place often. However the last 3 or 4 times we have came just for sushi they don't have it. Sign says no sushi on Tuesdays. We always come on a Friday or Saturday and told only after we sit down no sushi. This last time we even called before we left to drive 30 minutes and once again mo sushi. This is my usual Chinese restaurant that I eat at but the service has been getting worse as their popularity has grown. A few months back we placed a take out order over the phone and when we picked it up and got on the car the soup was missing. We went back in and they knew immediately what we were back for. They said said they were out of hot and sour soup but they still charged us for it. They gave us egg drop after we asked but they shouldn't of tried to rip us off in the beginning. Today we go on and it's packed on a Sunday which is understandable. What is not acceptable is waiting 40 minutes for your food, 15 minutes for your check and begging a waitress for a refill. The owner or manager was extremely rude also. This place used to be great but it's going downhill fast. I'll have to start exploring Findlay's other Chinese food offerings. read more

I had lunch here today. Their chicken fried rice is fantastic. I ordered sesame chicken for the entree and it was very good but it seemed like there was more sauce than there was chicken. This is the worst Chinese food I've ever had. We got our order to go, so I can't speak of the service or the cleanliness of the dining area. The Egg Foo Young was fried until it was a black/brown color and just disgusting. General Tso's Chicken was eatable, but only because I was really hungry! The portion of Tso's was much smaller than I've received at other restaurants, but the price was higher. I hope there is another Chinese restaurant in Findlay that is better. Completely disappointed with our experience at Hunan Gardens. Used to go here with my Best Buy people, and then my Cooper people... My wife and I ordered takeout tonight, and were completely ripped off. Our Large General T'sos Chicken was able to fit in the small container that our small orders of food came in, we were charged for 4 fried rice orders, and were instead given a single large container, with fried rice in it, that was labeled "FRx3." Hah. Lastly, (and this is more opinion than fact), your szechuan spicy beef was a joke; it was red sauce, instead of a brown, was very mild, had no peppers in it, and the only vegetables were water chestnuts and onions. This isn't the first time I've been disappointed by Hunan's downward spiral, but it will be the last. read more
