First thing you see when you walk in the door is old Pittsburgh Steelers paraphernalia. As a lifelong Browns fan I almost threw up. We are in the middle of Ohio. WTH!! Had the chicken parm. It was very basic. Cheap tomato sauce and cheap noodles. It was fine. Salad bar was decent. Everything seemed fresh and they had seafood salad and every other kind of salad you can think of. Broccoli salad was very good. This place is made for the older crowd for sure. I'm middle aged and felt extremely young there. And the food is definitely seasoned for the older crowd. As much as I praised them last time, today was decidedly different. Although the place was almost empty, we were seated next to a family speaking on the phone n high volume passing it around for our entire meal. The salad bar was underwhelming. First, be warned lunch specials advertised on Facebook stop at 2pm. We drove from Toledo for the special today and didn't know they stopped at 2pm. We arrived at 2:25 pm. So I love a salad bar, and they're hard to find, but this one is pretty pricey for what it is. Some of the meals include the salad bar, but by itself, it's $14.99. I'm not real big on there shredded lettuce, but they offer spinach too. A nice assortment of veggies and toppings. They also have some "flavored fluff" desserts. The service was pretty miserable. Our waitress didn't really check on us, offer a refill, or clear away dirty plates. I really felt like I should leave a pretty small tip, but I'm not that kind of guy. So two salad bars and a tip without drinks was a little over $40. I think that's pretty expensive for lunch. The interior is fine, pretty clean, but a little outdated. read more

My wife and I stopped in after shopping for RVs across the street. This is a nice little spot. Clean. One of the few places we've seen that has a salad bar still. We opted to sit at the bar for our lunch. Both sandwiches were delicious as well as the soup. Our server did a solid job being polite and thoughtful. read more

I stopped here with my boss for a quick dinner. We were seated right away, and our server came right over. We both ordered just the soup and salad bar. Our soup came right out, and it was OK, not well seasoned, didn't have a lot of flavor. I wouldn't order it again. The salad bar on the other hand looked really promising. It was large and clean and well stocked. Everything on the salad bar looked and tasted fresh. I would go back for the salad bar again. read more

It took an hour+ to get our food for a party of five. I ordered the steak pita, which was supposed to be thinly sliced steak -- it was a hamburger patty. My wife ordered a rodeo burger (hamburger with bacon). It didn't arrive until everyone else had finished eating so the waitress put it straight into a carryout container AND THEY STILL CHARGED FULL PRICE for it. We will not be going back. read more

I was looking for a great salad bar, and Tony's was recommended. It's right down the road from my hotel so I stopped by for lunch. The salad bar is one of the best I have ever experienced. No exaggeration. Not only is there a huge selection of items, the salad bar is extremely well kept, very clean, items are very fresh, and all the bins are full. There are many unique and homemade on the salad bar too. Ham salad, seafood salad, slaws, potato salad, pickled beets, several dessert options, and so much more. Tony's is the home of the Big Ben Burger, a special one pound burger for $7 (for #7 Ben Roethlisberger) and there are photos and sports memorabilia throughout. The service here is exceptional. Although all I ordered was the salad bar, my server stopped by frequently to see if I needed anything. And I observed all the servers taking good care of all the diners in a very busy restaurant. We are generally fans of Tony's. Great BBQ Ribs that fall of the bone, and a very nice 'unlimited trips' salad bar. But here are our reasons for 2 stars. 1. No dinner rolls are served with the Rack of Ribs dinner? What? Really? Uh, no excuse for this. 2. The 1/2 Rack dinner ($4 more) was almost the same size as the 1/4 rack dinner. 2. 3.99% fee for using a credit card? Uh, no. In fact, that fee is AUTOMATICALLY added and shows on the original bill when it comes to the table. Presuming everyone is going to use a credit card? read more

A clean sports bar with a family friendly atmosphere. The Findlay sports hall of fame plaques covering the walls are an interesting read. Plenty of staff members, very friendly and efficient. To start with, when I walked in the door there was a very accusatory sign regarding the lack of employees and the reason. Recommend that be taken down. Would immediately have turned around and walked out if I hadn't been waiting for family. It is a very nice, clean restaurant (bar and grill!) They have a great looking salad bar. And the menu looks appealing. The food was very good and the service was good. I didn't like that there was a fee for using a credit card . The ribs were great! I'd go for just ribs. My husband had a 9" pizza he said it was great but a tad undercooked. Tony's has a salad bar which was a surprise (comes with a dinner) but some of the lettuce was over ripe. It's a salad place to eat. read more

Went for dinner today with my parents and daughters(age 5 and 1). Me and my 5 year old decided to get the salad bar after going up and looking what they had. I got the 'multiple' trip and she got the 'kids' salad. When the waitress went around and asked what everyone wanted and then got to my 1 year old, I just instinctively said'oh she'll eat a little bit off all of us'- she's a baby. She said to me quite rudely too 'You can't feed her off your salad bar that's not aloud'. Was I supposed to pay $5.99 for the kids salad trip for an infant!?! I will not be going back here. $9.99 for 'unlimited ' trip that isnt really unlimited if you give your baby a few crackers and some strawberries. What a joke! Management needs to retrain their waitresses if this is how they've taught them to deal with families. read more

Very bad experience tonight. Won't be going back. I was served bloody chicken. When I am asked for a replacement order, I get pizza. Pizza is served on a piece of cardboard that is too small. The pizza pretty much sits on the table. The same table, mind you, that my raw chicken was served on. Charged full price for the pizza, that I had to get to go, because I wasn't going to make my family watch me eat (They were long since done). Now I can't bring myself to eat the pizza that was served on the dirty table. read more

I came here based on the reviews. I had a BLT sandwich, potato soup and trip to the salad bar. The BLT is a sub with the option to change it to a sandwich, which I did. It came with a toasted bun vs white bread (which I prefer) but it was delicious. Had plenty of bacon which is usually the problem IMO. The potato soup was good. First time I've ordered this and it's came with celery and I mean a lot of it. I scooped it out and ate it. It also came with some diced ham and a few carrot slices. Hearty, warm and good. There seems to be a difference of opinion on the salad bar. Well it has more options then the average bar and was good. The lettuce is chopped to the point it could be used on their sandwiches. I'm pretty sure that's why. Service was great. The waitress came by often enough to keep my glass full and for anything I needed. She was pleasant and did a great job. I have mixed feeling on how to rate Tony's. We have been there several times in the past but not since COVID. We decided to stop for a birthday lunch and the food was awesome. The salad bar is so good, and you fill your plate then when the food arrives you are in need of a take home box. The home fries are ok, my husband liked them better than I did. We both ordered the ribs and they were so tender that you didn't have to chew and the sauce was something I would like to mimic to make at home. No complaints with the service, and we realize everything is expensive today, but it was a bit pricey, although we got plenty to eat, so you weigh it out. The biggest reason I didn't give the restaurant as a whole a better score is because of the "convenience fee" we were charged and also the additional charge for using a credit card. I have never seen this anywhere else, and would be the reason I would not return. It wasn't a lot, but considering the price of the meal, tax, and tip, then the additional fees, it made me upset after a nice meal. It said the convenience fee was to off set the cost of people using credit cards to pay for meals. Well, a restaurant of that caliber surely would have that figured in the cost of the price. read more

I had a decent burger here. My mom got the spaghetti salad bar combo and the portion sizes are pretty generous. Spaghetti was a little too sweet for my taste. They kind of need to update the setting though. Makes me feel like I'm eating food in a retirement home or something. read more

Tony's is another place that we visited while on a business trip to the Findlay area. The restaurant is a rather generic feel to it. Kind of like you really can't go wrong with what you order, but you really can't go right either. The food is, well, OK. I ordered a cheeseburger with a side of curly fries. The burger looked much like something I would recognize from the high school or college cafeteria, tasted the same too. Half of my curly fries were over cooked, so much so that they were more like potato chips. Most of the rest of our party ordered the unlimited salad bar. After seeing them return to the table with loaded plates of salad I felt as though I had made a mistake. My advice would be to give the salad bar a try. Overall Tony's is a decent place. A typical midwest diner. We would probably return. read more

Came here for lunch today. Heard that the BBQ is worthwhile. Walked past the salad bar on the way to being seated and noticed three things. 1. The giant bowl of shredded iceberg lettuce was beginning to turn both in color and texture. It looked like the iceberg had started to melt. 2. The only other green on the salad bar was spinach (which was in good shape). 3. Almost everything else on the salad bar had either mayonaise or marshmallows in it, or both. Other commenters here refer to the midwestern diner offerings and, having grown up in the midwest, I was immediately reminded of similar restaurants in my hometown. So, on the one hand, yes, the salad bar is typical midwestern. On the other hand, the doesn't really excuse the selection which is not all that great - here or any other similar diner salad bar. Being in a slight rush to order (due to my companions' schedule) I decided that a BBQ item should be a decent bet so I ordered the BBQ chicken. A salad-bar came with my meal so I took some spinach, cucumbers, and sunflower seeds and it was fine. The entree was a half chicken with a very sweet barbecue sauce and the skin was blackened/carmelized (i.e. the good kind of burnt). : ) It was a lot of chicken and tasted fine, but it reminded me of eating at a friend's house in high school. It was something you could probably make at home without too much trouble. It seemed more like a baked/blackened chicken with sauce on top of it rather than a true BBQ smoked chicken. it wasn't terrible. Food was ok, service was ok, cleanliness was ok. It was ok. My rating is probably a 2.5 stars because of the price. My entree (chicken, salad, side) plus ice tea was $17 not including tip. Where I live now, $17 will get you excellent food, excellent service, and excellent atmosphere. No offense to the old people, cuz I soon are gonna be one, but another commenter called it correctly - it's reminescent of a cafeteria in an old-folks home.
