What a find! We were staying at the Lodge on Geneva lake and decided to ventur our for a nicer dinner and found this gem of a place. Live music on a sat evening with a beautiful view of the manicured property, we had a big table that they held for us ahead of time as we called an hour before getting there. They don't take reservations but if you give them a heads up, it'll be smoother for both parties. The place was so lively and everyone who served us were friendly and so accommodating! Our kids went outside and played catch while us adults relaxed and enjoyed the wines, you can see them from the massive windows. The food was wonderful, the goat cheese fondue isn't too rich like a traditional cheese, try it! The hanger steak was so tender and juicy, scallops were not overcooked. Laurentia Vineyard and Winery is an absolutely gorgeous property, both inside and out. The entire estate is immaculately clean, and the interior features warm, homey woodwork that sets a beautiful, welcoming tone. The outdoor area is incredibly spacious, offering everything from a covered patio to seating right down by the vineyard with umbrella coverage. Whether you need an intimate two-seater, a large table for a group, or a standing-style arrangement around covered barrels, they have a space for it. They were even setting up for live music the night I visited, which added to the great atmosphere. What really struck me was how well-run this establishment is. Large venues can often be a logistical nightmare, but Laurentia operates masterfully. They use a controlled seating and walk-up ordering system for everything--wine, coffee, and food--which keeps things moving efficiently without feeling chaotic. The friendly staff then bring the food right to your table. Speaking of the staff, their work ethic and rapport are truly exceptional. You can tell they are proud of the operation and genuinely enjoy working with one another. As for the menu, the Syrah was exactly what I was hoping for and thoroughly enjoyable. The Chicken Gnocchi was excellent--cooked to a perfect al dente and packed with delicious pieces of chicken, bacon, and asparagus. It was perfectly balanced and beautifully presented; I intended to snap a photo but just couldn't wait to dig in! I finished the evening with coffee and the Key Lime Cheesecake. Restaurant coffee is often an afterthought, but this cup was wonderfully smooth and delicious. It was the perfect pairing for the cheesecake, which was incredibly fresh, perfectly set, and topped with beautifully ripe strawberries and a strawberry sauce underneath. This is a place where you order at the bar and carry your drinks to your table. This was the final stop on our self guided tour, and really enjoyable! The winery inside is beautiful, and there is a private tasting room on the lower level that gives distillery vibes, and smells like wood! So pretty! I enjoyed a glass of Riesling on the patio, and we walked around the pond after we finished. If you're not directly on the lake, sunset over the pond was really beautiful! Like most of the wineries in the area, patio seating is first come, first served, but Laurentia had a nice way of handling it. Each table has a number. When you order your drink(s), you're give the number of an empty table outside, and you can make your way to your seat at your leisure. They did a nice job filling tables by dispersing guests across the area, so you didn't feel crowded, which was my main gripe across most of the wineries. It was a beautiful a day and brought a friend here from out of town. It was her first time at a winery. She isn't much of a drinker, but we came for the experience. It was very nice. Mason greeted us at the door and we received a table number for outside. There were quite a few people having lunch and also enjoying the lovely weather. We ordered a flight of the mixed. I liked the Riesling so much, I bought a bottle to take home. We shared a Margherita flat bread and the brisket ravioli. Both were delicious. Shannon was at the bar outside and was very helpful. We stopped here on the way home after visiting with family in cleveland. The procedure here is to pick a table number on entering, and order your food and drinks at the wine bar. You pay for what you ordered, find your table, and your food will be brought out to you. I had a glass of Cabernet Sauvignon and it was very good. I ordered the pork osso buco and I thought it was excellent. The meat was very tender and tasty. My wife chose the chicken pesto flatbread and she was very pleased with that. It's been years since we were here, but it is still my favorite winery. From the feel of the building itself, to the grounds, the staff, the food and then the wine, everything is perfect. Things have changed a bit because you now place your order at a register, they assign you a table, and then bring your food order to you, while you take your wine with you, it was efficient and easy, but if you didn't know what you wanted, you might feel rushed looking at the menus. We settled on a pepperoni flatbread pizza and I had a glass of the Pinot Noir. I was thoroughly enjoying my wine out on the covered patio, and then the flatbread arrived. Yummy goodness!!!!!! This place was such a fun way to take a daytrip from Cleveland and feel like you were on a vacation. My partner and I had done a staycation and stayed in an Airbnb by the lake, and wanted to find some fun activities to do while in the area. We stumbled upon Laurentia Vineyard and Winery and it checked all our boxes. It had good food, good vibes, a beautiful atmosphere, and good service. You walk in and you see the huge restaurant, giving off rustic vibes. We were greeted immediately and given the option of dining indoors or outdoors. Because it was 70 degrees and clear blue skies, we opted for outdoor seating. As soon as we sat, we ordered some white wine, a cheese board (pictured), baked brie, and a flatbread. The food was so good and brought out to us pretty quickly. We had a great view of the vineyard while dining. Speaking of the vineyard, after we ate, we were able to venture around and roam the vineyard, the little pond, and the different parts of the winery, such as the cellar. It was cool to walk around and see all the wine barrels and take photos with the scenic background. Overall, I loved this place and have been dying to return. Exceptional wine here. We tried their Cab Franc and thought it was on par with any we have tried. I would have expected it to be a $100 bottle. We took one home and at $48 I think it was a deal. The ambiance is outstanding. The place is built of old timber and rock and is as nice as any winery I have been to East of the Mississippi. The grounds are immaculate. There is some great seating out near a pond that is idyllic. The folks behind the bar were knowledgeable and efficient. They serve dryer wine made in the old world style. Their reds were as good as any you will find in the state. We are here for a few more nights and plan to head back tomorrow night for dinner and more wine. Definitely a must try place. read more

If zero stars were available Laurentia earned that tonight. We have been there a number of times before and always had a great experience. Good wine, friendly people and a great experience are typical. Tonight due to abysmal management our experience was awful. My wife called and put our name in for a party of 9. They took our name, we arrived and then the snotty lady we dealt with said they would be so kind to allow us to split up into two areas across the room. What? It was like a Seinfeld episode. And it just got better. Then they point us to an area with 3 tables where 7 can sit, so we ask the logical question "We can use this and two people will stand". They respond "we don't allow people to stand". The tables are in a corner with no one around. Is this an alternate universe or the twilight zone? Then it gets even more bizarre. My wife asks the bartender see if we can sit in the enclosed patio area, and he apparently does not have the same stick up his butt the person we've been dealing with does. So we sit at two tables. Stick up your butt lady then informs us that this is a members table and we can't sit there either. We offer to move over to one table (our idea not theirs) and FINALLY we are all seated. Unreal. This reminded me of the line in caddy shack "we don't allow your kind at bushwood "! I've never had an establishment like this act so arrogant and aloof. The people "managing" the seating tonight should be fired to prevent other customers from experiencing the worst service ever. You suck. "We don't move tables or chairs. I clearly stated..,". What can I say, one of the BEST wineries in the Grand River Wine area. First, we were hitting 7 wineries this afternoon /evening and made this (on purpose) our final stop. Ok, let me start by saying I am from California, maybe a little picky and have a different expectation of wine..... Laurentia was recommended to us as the best winery in the area. We liked the scenic drive and the winery was very pretty to pull up to. They are easy to find and have plenty of parking. We went inside and they had their social distancing signs up but to be honest they were confusing. One told you to wait to be helped but then another said to stand in another spot so if you are here for the first time ever it's a little confusing on what to do/where to go. We waited a while and eventually someone came and "checked us in" and told us where to go next. Then we waited to be helped and once we eventually received service the lady helping us was very nice and knowledgeable about the wines. They were not offering tastings so we got a glass of Chardonnay and a glass of Gewurztraminer. Both were average at best. We sat on the patio and the view of the vineyard was enjoyable. read more

I've been here several times and is one of my favorite wineries around. Food menu is on the smaller side but everything is good. My favorite is the brie and fig flatbread. The wine is fantastic! My favorite is the clone reisling which is their only sweet wine besides the ice wine. The outside patio has gorgeous views of the vineyard and pond. Service is all done at the bar and food is brought to your table, which I don't mind and is pretty common at other wineries. We will continue to always put Laurentia on our stop list! read more

We ordered the artisanal board, the baked Brie, pepperoni flatbread, the butternut squash ravioli (OMG THIS IS AMAZING), the pork stew, the butternut squash soup, the apple pie ala mode, the choc fudge cake and the blueberry lemon cake. Beautiful winery. My daughter, mom and I did a weekend of wineries. This winery is beautiful. The wine is pretty good, we liked one of the red cabs, (i don't remember which one). We had lunch and ordered a glass of cab and their Ice Wine (this is delicious). We split the Fig and Brie Flatbread pizza. This was very good as well. We should have ordered something else to go with it as it wasn't really enough for the day for three people. We ended up getting apps at another winery, which was great as well. The view is beautiful, and servers were very friendly and helpful. My only complaint would be you have to order all your food/drinks at the bar/counter and pay at that time. So, they don't really have table service. It does cause you to wait in line. And if people are doing tastings, it takes a little time. I hope in the summer they have more help. They do bring your food to your table once prepared. All in all a great winery you must visit if you are in the area. As noted in other reviews, this is a much more upscale winery than some others in the area. You go inside first, and we requested a table outside. They originally said they didn't have any available, but while deciding if we wanted to sit inside or go elsewhere, one became available. The host then handed us a number which corresponded to our spot on the patio. We ordered drinks inside and carried them out (I don't believe there's service outside - you have to go back in and order). Tastings I believe are $2, they don't seem to have flights either. The outdoor patio is gorgeous and really makes this place. The tables outside were never all taken though I believe they were telling people inside that there were no available outdoor tables. There seemed to be some confusion (or maybe they purposely kept empty tables outside, though I'm not sure why as, like I said, you have to go in to get your drinks). I didn't try any of the food so I can't comment on that. I got a glass of Riesling and it was good, and the rest of my party enjoyed their wine as well. read more

As you can see from any picture this place is gorgeous and luxurious. You feel as if you've been transported to a chateau or a winery in Italy. Everything in this place is gorgeous. They have a ton of outdoor seating that overlooks the vineyards as well as a spacious dining room with mainly windows to look out at the view. We sat in the wine cellar which was really cool. You can see all the wines and you feel as if you are in a cave underground with the stone walls. There's a door from the cellar that leads right out to the patio so you get the best of everything. DRINKS: The wine here was so good. We opted to split a bottle for $19 instead of individual glasses. We went with the Pinot Grigio which was not too sweet and pretty light. It was the perfect summer drink. EATS: The food was the reason I didn't give this place 4 stars. It was extremely underwhelming. We got the margherita flatbread and it was literally a piece of bread with 3 huge tomatoes and a little mozzarella. All the toppings fell off as you tried to eat it and it really just didn't have much flavor too it :/ SERVICE: The table we sat at was self-service so we ordered everything at the bar and brought it back.
