I shopped around and Alex's quote was significantly less than Cal Tree and AAA Tree services. Valero Bros didn't even show (or call to reschedule) at our scheduled time. We had scheduled for Monday but the crew showed up Saturday morning ready to go. Alex had left me a voicemail letting me know, but I had left my phone in the car the night before. Regardless, I was happy they were there and ready to go. We have a live oak in our front yard that hasn't been trimmed in maybe 10yrs. It was overgrown into the telephone wires, pushing up our sidewalk, and hanging low over ours and our neighbors roof. Alex's crew cleared the telephone wires, removed all low hanging branches, and were careful to not let them fall on our two rose bushes. I was especially pleased with their cleanup. Branches covered our entire front yard about 3ft high. They chipped through it all and even chopped the thicker branches into firewood for us.

Unfortunately, the job was much bigger than they expected, and they ended up bailing--leaving us with a huge mess. We reached out to Rodriguez Tree Care and Landscaping to take over and do it right, and they were onsite early the very next day! Efren, Carlos, and team tackled the entire project in one long, productive day. They completely cleared the area of weeds, removed the old deteriorating weed fabric, relocated a large amount of river rock, raked out yards of grey gravel, installed new DeWitt P5 Pro weed fabric (which I provided), secured the bender board edging with new spikes, and then moved all the rock and gravel back into place. Everything looks amazing now, and we're thrilled at the idea of not having to pull weeds anytime soon (fingers crossed--maybe never again!). The pricing was very fair, and we're already planning to have Efren and Carlos quote us for a few more yard projects.
