Clearing overhang from smaller trees nearby

Steve Clement was quick to come by and see our trees. He gave the best quote, shared the most expert knowledge and answered all of my newbie questions. The team came by within a week to do the job. Oak, Redwood and Laurel trees were trimmed carefully and beautifully, to reduce overhang surrounding our home. The job was complete in less than an hour. The team even trimmed a few extra branches. Tidy up was great....All leaves and trimmings were removed from our garden and many steps. I have to praise the team on a job well done, without fussing about how many steps they had to climb to do the job :) I felt Steve was super clear, honest and responsive, he also has a great sense of humour and is super professional! Will be using again.

Wow so hi up in tree!

I can't recommend them enough. Everything was A+ from start to finish. They were on time, professional, clean, so good! At tree removing and cost efficient. Seriously wonderful business.

The Clement team was excellent! They removed three massive pines that were at the end of their life and creating risk / damage at our house. And they cleaned up overgrown trees that were too close to the house. They were experienced, thorough and fairly priced. Steve and Bill (and the whole crew) were a true pleasure to work with. We've already booked our next project with Clement. Good people doing good work.

Exceptional. If you are not sure whether or not you should cut down a tree; Clements' advice is holistic and honest.

I don't write many reviews anymore, and honestly, I haven't had many contractor experiences that…read morewould motivate me to change that. But Lassiter Excavation was so good that I couldn't continue to be lazy.  For context, I was replacing an old 35,000-gallon swimming pool with a skinnier lap pool. Lassiter started by completely removing the massive 1975 pool, including every scrap of concrete and piping.  Then they backfilled and compacted. Working to my soils engineer's specifications, they imported and compacted 18 truckloads of quarry fines in carefully controlled 8-inch lifts through the full 12-foot depth of the deep end, all the way to finished grade. They used multiple pieces of equipment, including jumping jacks, a Bobcat, and a vibratory sheepsfoot roller (which I had to look up), and they coordinated compaction testing throughout the process.  When they were done, it looked like a pool had never been there. The site was fully prepared for the new excavation, which Lassiter then completed flawlessly.  I measured their forms with a laser level and laser tape measure, and length, width, diagonals, position and elevations were all within 1/8 inch. That's impressive considering the new lap pool is nearly 60 feet long. When they were finished digging, the walls and floor were razor straight and right on their marks. The crews were outstanding -- friendly, hardworking, detail-oriented, and consistently professional. They maintained an exceptionally clean jobsite throughout the project and even helped me reclaim some old redwood decking.  Special thanks to Santana, Ricardo, Daniel, Jose and team for answering all my questions and caring so much about the end result. If you're considering any excavation work, I highly recommend reaching out to Lassiter Excavation and talking with Bob. They exceeded my expectations in every respect.

They then scheduled a time to come out. We went over the project, and I was told it was definitely something they do & getting me a quote would be no problem. Later that day I was informed it would take a couple of weeks to get back with the quote, because they do several bids a day & it takes time to get them out. 3 weeks later (this morning) I get an email saying they won't be bidding my work, because they are changing their scope of work, and this just isn't the kind of job they're looking for. Too bad, because once I learn the building process on my ADU I have plans to move on to doing a small subdivision.... And things will only go up from there. My family has built residential & commercial real estate for decades, and I am presently looking for the right people to use in the future. Not the best way to run a business, but hey.... Maybe they don't think long term & that's ok. Most business like that will peak & by the next generation will diminish into nothing. CIP wasn't the cheapest, nor were they the most expensive, but their responsiveness and communication set them apart. Humberto was responsive from the beginning, answered my questions, and, more importantly, gave me thoughtful answers to the questions I was actually asking. That made a huge difference in my decision to hire them. I'm very analytical. This was a large project, around 1,800 sq ft of work between the backyard and driveway, but the entire process caused surprisingly little disruption. Even the demolition, unloading materials didn't disrupt my neighbors much, and the project stayed on schedule. What impressed me most after everything was completed were the finishing details. Things most people probably wouldn't notice immediately, the placement of the fasteners in the turf, the edges and transitions, and how the perimeter of the pavers sits flush against the fence. Those little details are what make the finished project look professionally done instead of simply "finished." It looks like a part of the planning of the house now. And the transformation has been incredible. Before this project, our backyard was largely unusable for my family. I was basically the only person who spent much time back there, mostly working wiht the weeds. Now it has become a space that my wife and kids can actually enjoy and I reclaimed time with my family. I probably get a compliment on the yard at least once a week. Not sure why I can't add photos to this review because the before-and-after difference really tells the story. I did post photos with my Google review if you want to see the transformation. After spending two years researching contractors and getting multiple bids, I can confidently say I made the right choice. Hire Humberto and CIP Pavers
