I can't believe some of the reviews on this site... Folks, realize what you're shopping for and rank it based on that. Hungry Howie's is tasty, tasty, junk-food pizza. It's not intended to be healthy, and if greasy foods make you sick, then order a salad instead. My personal favorite is pepperoni with garlic herb crust... garlic butter is optional but tasty. The food can be a bit on the expensive side if you just order off menu, but there's normally a special running at least one day a week, so call 'em up and ask what specials are running. read more

Attempted to call in an order for pick up the guy who answered took the order even confirmed our number and told us it would be ready in 20 minutes. When we arrived to pick up the order they said they had no record of it- they checked the other location and they had no record either. Bad service & will not return. Man, I love this place. Now, I didn't discover the greatness of Hungry Howie's until I was a sophomore in college, and I feel bad that I missed out for those first two years. There's nowhere to sit down at the restaurant so it's strictly take-out and delivery. my advice: take advantage of the different coupons and advertisements they put out. it's perfect if you're having a few peeps around and want to share a good pizza. The greatest thing about Hungry Howie's is the crust. This is the differentiator. Hungry Howie's has about 8 or 9 different crusts that you can select from to put on your pizza. I usually go with the garlic herb one. I prefer this place to most of the other chains (i.e. pizza hut, domino's) Antonio's is good, if you want just one slice. Hungry Howie's succeeds at giving you a full serving of food, and then having some for later to throw in the fridge. and it's still good the day after! So I heard a lot of mixed reviews. Majority of which had problems with delivery I have not had delivery. I have ordered at the counter and actually had good results. The pizza is tasty. It's exactly what you expect from a small dine out only type of establishment that's run by college kids. Regardless of that the food is not bad. It's a good alternative to little Cesar's. Hungry Howies lies! I called in an order, They forgot the salad. I got a call to tell me they were sending someone out. An hour goes by and I still don't have the pizza or the salad. At that point the guy from the store calls back and said they were just then sending someone out with the salad, and I asked where the pizza was? He said it was delivered and they called me 5x. I said no, I got your 2 calls but the delivery driver is lying because he never called and the pizza is at someone's house. Now I have to wait several days to get a refund. Horrible location! Placed an order and was told it would be delivered in 30 min. After over an hour I called to check on the order and was directed to an automated machine saying they were closed. Called the other location which said they should be open but they couldn't help me all they did was transfer me back to the automated machine. My husband gets the Philly one with all the flavors for the crust. It's on the expensive side but if you sign up for their emails, you get BOGO coupons and other coupons with a % off. We only order from there with the use of the coupons. You can get a free one on your birthday with the purchase of another pizza. If you have extra $ to spend and want to try it, go for it. I called and emailed twice (after being late). It showed close to 2 hours soggy and cold. The manager was very empathetic. He apologized, offered me a free pizza, and followed up. Well, today I ordered that free pizza. I went with thin crust to ensure it would not be soggy. But sure enough it was slightly cold AND it was late AGAIN. The manager emailed me while the pizza was being made to express gratitude for giving them a second chance (actually a 3rd for me). I recently ordered at Hungry Howie's in C.S., and was underwhelmed. First thing was the price-nearly $19.00 for what goes for a large pie elsewhere. They do make an effort, offering me a choice of several seasoning mixes, and butter (margarine?), which are applied to the crust before adding sauce & toppings. But that was like the now-famous lipstick for a pig, as the crust was cheap and inferior, like that of Pizza Hut, and just as greasy (even though I opted out of the butter on the dough). Howie rolls are the best pizza concoction I've had in a long time. It's more of a stromboli than a pizza roll, comparable to a 6 inch sub.
