A small group of us went in at 5pm Friday night. We were the only people there. We actually yelled out "hello?" (It was a ghost town). We seated ourselves wondering if it was even open. Eventually an employee came out and saw us. Then 2 more. Brought us a menu then went back to hang out at a booth with the other 2 employees. The prices were a bit high for what you get. 1/2 a block away is Texas Roadhouse and Wings and More (which we are familiar with and love). They were both starting to get packed. So we thought if not a single person was there but us in the entire restaurant...there must be a reason. We would rather eat and be around other people with some music and a lively atmosphere. After all...it's Friday night not 10am on a Tuesday. I apologized to the waitress and told her that we decided to go eat at Roadhouse. We absolutely love this BWW. We sit in the bar area either at a table or the bar itself. The bartenders are amazing and even know our drink order. We decided to try the new patty melt. I was in for lunch at noon. Ordered lunch special cheese burger bun-less and 6 wings with a salad. I am not sure why but my wings came out quite a bit before my burger. Usually everything comes out together. My wings did not seem as crispy as usual and had some slightly pink meat near the bone. Perhaps undercooked? My burger was also not crispy on the outside as usual. Not sure what was happening in the kitchen as it was not very busy. Service was excellent and my waitress did an excellent job and saved this from being a 2 star review. On one occasion we waited at the front for 20 minutes in a bare bones restaurant and no one came to seat us so we left. The second time we came with friends. It was relatively busy, but not packed. We waited almost 2 hours for lukewarm wings while we banged our hungry heads on the table playing trivia. The poor waitress kept plying us with tea just to have something on the table. Ordered chips & queso- tastes good, but now chili is $1 more and it's about 1/2 the cheese as before, so lots of lone chips left.
