Absolutely horrible. Sour sauce, pepperoni tasted like ass, and the crust made it even worse. I absolutely hate little Caesars pizza, I was pissed I didn't go to little Caesars instead. Ha ha good Pizza? Let's be perfectly honest here. Most people especially younger generation in Mid Michigan would not know what good Italian food or pizza is to save their life. A review from folks who think Hungry Howies or any of the other cheap delivery pizza is good will tell you McDonald"s is great gourmet food and Taco Bell is authentic Mexican. They think Chef Boyardee in a can is good home cooked Italian food. They simply have no frame of reference what good Italian food is. Fact is I wouldn't feed any of this Hungry Howie food to my dog let alone eat it is I was starving to death. I would suggest all of those to travel the nation to areas such as northeast coast, Chicago, Florida where or larger Metro City areas where Italian's live to find quality Pizza or Italian Food. I ordered a Howie's Special and Howie Bread with a pizza sauce and ranch sauce. However, when I came to my door, there was no ranch sauce. I called the store and Cam listened to me, but then hemmed and hawed saying he was the one who delivered it and he was "pretty sure" he grabbed it. I told him things happen, but I want my ranch sauce. He again hemmed and Hawed, saying he was sure he got there. I finally said, "Do you want me to take a picture of what I have? Dude, I don't know if it fell in your car, but it wasn't here. He hemmed and hawed A THIRD TIME and then said he would try to get it to me, but it was a Saturday night. I told him I didn't care and I wanted it soon because I'm hungry. I get it's busy, but Hungry Howie's messed up and I expect it fixed in a reasonable amount of time. If they had just said, "Hey, I'm sorry about that and we'll get it to you ASAP", I would have been fine. Now, I'm ticked off because someone couldn't just say "I'm sorry" and instead made excuses. Love this place!!! Their pizza is always perfect for us. Delivery is fast and food is fresh and drivers are always tipped well from us because they are awesome. When we go in and carry out, the staff are ALWAYS so pleasant and nice to talk to. Even during busy times they do well every time for us. And we get pizza from them A LOT!!! More than I care to admit lol We enjoy Hungry Howies and will continue to give them our business. I mean, I cant say no to butter cheese flavored crust! I know a few people who really like this place, but the first (and last) time I ordered take out pizza, it was not good. The pizza had a strange taste to it. Almost a grease burn taste. Couldn't quite put my finger on it. The "Dudes" working in the shop looked like heavy metal guys. The pizza maker had tattoos covering both arms and his dirty hands looked like he'd been working on a car all afternoon. Maybe that was the grease burn taste I was tasting. Let me preface this by saying that I don't think Hungry Howie's is aiming to be "the most authentic Italian pizza pie place in the world." That being said, for delivery pizza, it's pretty good. We mostly order the stuffed crust pizza, and haven't been disappointed yet. A big plus for me is that they don't use canned mushrooms (yuck!), which is more than I can say for some of their competitors in the area. read more

We ordered delivery through the website. We were quoted a 40 minute wait time. Our order was the deep dish combo special. The driver didn't get here until almost an hour later. Upon opening our pizza, we found it to be a burned greasy mess of a pizza. It was completely inedible. I called the location to get the problem resolved. I talked the manager Paul and he was completely unhelpful. At one point he told me that he couldn't help me if I continued to scream at him. I was not even close to screaming. He said the only thing that he could do for me was to replace that pizza only and that it'd be at least a half hour for another pizza. I didn't want to wait that long as I hadn't eaten yet that day so I went and picked it up. Paul was rude to me in the store and accused me of wasting his and other people's time. A customer even chimed in at me because the manager was saying this. So I just took the pizza and left and as I was walking out of the door I heard the manager say something like it could have gone better for you. Got the pizza home and ate it. It wasn't the best pizza I've ever eaten. I called the store the next day to talk to the store manager Michelle. She was as unhelpful as the first manager. She said that the manager had contacted her about it because he knew that there was going to be a problem. Also the customer had called and talked to her as he was a regular. I told her the pizza was inedible and it was burnt beyond belief. She didn't believe me so I sent her a picture to her personal cell phone. It took her forever to get back to me. She called back and she said that the pizza didn't look burnt at all, that the cheese on deep dish pizzas tended to get a little well done. I've had deep dish pizzas from other places and they've never looked like that. She recommended that we not get that product next time because sometimes they have to get put back through because they don't give out doughy pizzas. Well in my opinion you shouldn't be giving out burnt pizzas. She ended up giving us a free pizza for the next visit. All in all these people are rude and unwilling to help when you have an issue. I will get my free pizza and then I will never order from this location again until there is a change in the way they operate their business. read more

I have been eating Howie's pizza for years, and suddenly within the last year or so has gone down hill. The pizza is usually flat, with not enough flavoring in the crust (when we order a flavored crust). More often than not there is too much herb seasoning and not enough butter or parm cheese added to the breadsticks, and they're overcooked. I'm not sure what happened, but quality went down, even though the service is still great. Those who have ordered in the store and who have delivered our pizzas have been so nice, but I just can't get over the overcooked pizza and breadsticks. read more

Really good. We have lived here for years and never tried Hungry Howie's. Then we had a free promo of some sort and it was real good. And the deal seemed too good to be true (flat out free pizza) but we just showed up and got the free pizza (love a true deal that has no strings). No we like it and get it from time to time.
