I ordered a delivery, meal said On The Road for 40 minutes in the app so I called to check on the order. The people working there informed me that they transferred the delivery to DoorDash & are waiting on DoorDash to pick it up. Truthfully I would have just picked the food up myself with no issue if they would have told me there was going to be such a delay as the store is only 6 minutes from my house. I also want to add, if this is a staffing issue that is understandable but a delay should be communicated to the customer especially if you are marking the item ready & on its way. read more

Crappy customer service. I ordered a pizza pulled up to pick the pizza up and the location was closed. They took my online order, I paid and no pizza. Call there store schoenherr in shelby township ( same owner) and there response was we can't help you, call tomorrow. It was a rainy Friday night in late May, a night made for an epic pizza party, a pizza party to end all others... A pizza party for the ages if you will. My bambino and I happened upon some of the worst yelp reviews from some of the most crass, miserable people around... horrible people... just the worst people. The reviews sparked our interest and we decided on the Washington Township Hungry Howie's... We ordered a delivery as was our want... A Large Round with Pepperoni, bacon, red onion, and feta cheese... Cajun Crust for the win... along with two garlic butter dipping sauces... To accompany our mans pie we also got a large Greek salad with all the goodness, with a lovely gluten free Greek vinaigrette dressing of course... Our delivery arrived freshly and promptly, which was appreciated. Our Delivery Driver was a fine gentleman whose arm was in a cast, perhaps from a small unfortunate mishap, perhaps from wrestling Bears and other apex predators on his free time, it's a mystery, we may never know... Our Pizza Party was an awesome, awe-inspiring good time thanks to the Washington Township Hungry Howie's... I wish you could have been there, the pizza and salad were honestly very good and we caught up on several episodes of What We Do In The Shadows on FX, which is one of our favorite shows... First, I love HH. It is my favorite and everyone knows I'm ordering pizza some point on my trip from any of their locations. Sorry Little Cesar's, but HH should take the name of "Detroit Style" .... Ordered Sunday afternoon for pickup. Used a coupon I got in my email (seriously, sign up for them!!) and drove down to get it. Staff wasn't very friendly when we walked in. There was just a girl and a guy when we walked in. I never got a "hello" so I just stood there in an awkward silence before just saying I had a pickup. I finally got the girl to light a bit, but the guy was just grumpy and wouldn't acknowledge us at all when he came up to tell her something. Got the pizza and cheese sticks home - long hair across the cheese sticks. I'd have been pissed had I not have only spent like 12 cents on them (coupons!!) and didn't even bother to complain because it was a 15+ minute drive to get here from the north side of town. I won't go to this location again. Definitely better places in Romeo!! read more

For the SECOND time, the staff did not give me everything I had ordered AND pre-paid for. Called the store to find a resolution and the male that answered the phone was sarcastic and jerky to me. Said they did have the missing pizza there and I could come pick it up. I asked them to deliver it since this was their mistake, again. He literally shouted to a co-worker that "this lady wants us to deliver the pizza to her, for free!" He came back on and said it was not an option. He said he could refund the missing pizza. Totally impolite staff with no regard for their job responsibilities. Will be notifying this store's corporate office or owner tomorrow. I paid for a pizza and a salad from them... when the driver got to my house he claimed he forgot my salad and that he be back I paid and tipped him believing he'd be back. Well a hour and a half went by and still no salad. Called to see what was the hold up and was told he dropped it off on my porch because "I didn't answer my door" even though my door was open and no salad was there. Also never had a miss called from them as well just no food and being yelled at saying it was dropped off. When I went to go get my salad after telling them I never got it and never being assured they would be bringing me a new one I was spit on by male worker screaming at me, scared he was going to put hands on me and told I was "high" and I was lucky they didn't call the cops that I was in their house and I couldn't do anything to them. At this point I just wanted my money back from product I never received. Never ever will I be going back here. I don't know anyone that would just leave food on a porch and treat customers so rudely. Ordered from this business for the first time ever, don't usually eat corporate pizza. Girl who answered the phone didn't take our order correctly, which I didn't discover until I had picked it up and brought it home. There was no cheese on our pizza, and the receipt stated "no mozzarella ". Who orders a pizza with no cheese? The person who handled my phone call told me to "bring it back and we'll make it right". I said ABSOLUTELY not. Who orders a pizza with no cheese? Why didn't the phone person clarify why she heard? AND the salad had brown lettuce in it. Avoid this location at all costs. Their online ordering setup is a mess, then you call to place the order and it's even worse. The staff is very unfriendly and seem to be quite incompetent. Avoid this establishment. Ordered a medium pizza & small salad. Promised delivery in 50 to 60 minutes. Pizza arrived 1 hour & 20 minutes later, luke warm, no salad. I called the store. Manager's solution was to deliver the salad as soon as the delivery boy returned to store or give me store credit for a salad. Waiting for the salad would be another 20 minutes and the pizza was already luke warm. Told the manager if that was his solution, forget it. Cost of 1 medium pizza, $25. read more

The place is very poorly managed. Ordered five pizzas and told up to an hour for delivery. After waiting almost an hour and a half, called and was told the order is being made and would be another 20 minutes at least. Could have called and told me. I ordered a pizza and a 2 liter for delivery on Valentines Day this year. I am aware that this is a busy time for them with the heart pizzas that they do. I was told delivery would take at least an hour. I said no problem. I paid for my order over the phone with a debit card. An hour in a half went by and I called to check on a status. The person who answered the phone was rude when answering and would barely let me get a word in. She kept trying to answer why I was calling before even asking me myself why I was calling. When I finally got to explain I wasn' t placing an order and that I was checking on a status of an existing one, she told me that the driver had just left. (never apologized for the wait). After another hour went by from that call, I called again to let them know I hadn't received my order still. The same girl answered and did the exact same thing again, and then told me yet again that " he just left." I told her this is what I was told over an hour ago. She said, " I know but he did just leave again." (Still no apology). Right after I got off the phone, the delivery guy was at my door. He forgot the 2 liter that I ordered. He offered to go back and get it but I said at this point I just wanted my pizza (it was 8:45 p.m.) He then told me if he had another delivery in this area he would come drop it off. Never got the 2 liter. I didn't make a call to ask for a refund for the pop I purchased because I was done talking to that girl on the phone. The 3 stars are only because the pizza was hot and I empathized with the delivery guy because I knew he had a busy night. Just very unhappy with the customer service and that I was not given an apology for the inconvenience nor a follow-up call for forgetting the 2 liter I purchased. Will not order again. read more

I have been ordering from this hungry Howies for 5 years. I live in the same house and they have delivered to me numerous times. I went to order today and they told me they can not take my order because they are too busy. I'm sorry you're a pizza place your job is to deliver pizza so be it if it takes longer but never should they say I can't take your order or even if they would have asked if I could pick it up due to how busy they are I would have went and picked it up but they told me "I can't take your order. I'm sorry ma'am." I worked at hungry howies and this is not how you treat customers. I will never go back to the Romeo location again! That's rediculous! read more

Yesterday we came for a pick up and was "helped" by one of the rudest employees possible. I went to complain and realized she IS the shift manager. Never again.
