I've ordered many carry outs from this restaurant often, since I work in the area. I have tried a wide variety of items, honestly any item you get from this place is amazing and a place to go for lunch or dinner. I've tried the lentil soup (very light, hearty), chicken shawarma wrap (flavorful with a hint of citrus), lamb kabob with grilled veggies (tasted like it came off the grill) and a healthy portion of warm, buttery rice, cream chop chicken with fluffy and guilty pleasure "I cannot stop eating" pita with a side of garlic sauce. Overall, the food is consistent, fresh, hot, and tasteful! The staff is beyond friendly. Most definitely I will continue to give them service and recommend this places to others. read more

Not only does the Stone House Mediterranean Grill make delicious food, but their service is OUTSTANDING! We ordered lunch for my sister-in-law for her birthday today, and brought it to her house only to find that our bread was missing. I called the restaurant to let them know, and my wife and son were in the car getting ready to go back to pick it up. The woman on the phone asked me how far we were, and when I told her, she said she would make fresh bread, and deliver it! 20 minutes later, an SUV pulled up with a bag of freshly baked pita breads! Now that's customer service. The food we ordered was amazing; the lentil soup was fresh, and the flavor was perfectly balanced. The hummus, tabbouleh, chicken shawarma, and garlic dip were all perfect. Their falafel has just the right amount of seasoning. And of course, the bread was unbelievably fresh. The location in Washington Township is super clean and very nicely appointed on the inside for dine-in. The staff is very friendly, and as I recounted, their service could not be better. I got a carry out even though it's very cute inside and has several tables. I got the lentil soup and a chicken schwarma wrap. Both were delicious and way more food than I could eat so I had a whole meal for another day! They also gave me 4 pieces of the good puffy pita bread. They quoted 15-20 minutes but took 45 for my carryout order. Yesterday I tried the place down the street under the same ownership -- Kabob Express -- and got the worst chicken salad I've ever had, so I gave this location a try instead. We enjoyed our visit to this small, cozy restaurant. The portions were very generous and service was great. Overall, a pretty good experience. Hubby and I ordered lamb shawarma and grilled vegetables (instead of rice). The veggies tasted good, but were HUGE hunks that had to be cut into several pieces to be eaten. The lamb was tasty and of huge portion, but was kind of tough. The bread was delicious and so was the dip/buttery spread that came with it, but was super garlicky and tasted garlic in our mouths even the next day! Hubby enjoyed the crushed lentil soup. The Greek salad was good, but the vinegar dressing was very strong. We were not disappointed, but would have made slight changes to our food to improve our experience. read more

Ordered & picked up 2 Chicken Tawook Wraps. Delicious!! (Tawook means chicken breasts)-that's what I was told. It was soo good! The Garlic Sauce and Rolls for dipping or spreading the garlic on are excellent as well. So happy to have this Mediterranean food near my home. They have a buffet that runs @$15 during the week from like 10-3pm. Healthy and Delicious. Give it a whirl. Try something new. read more

Got a carry out this evening and it was somewhat disappointing. Ordered a chicken shawarma dinner and the chicken in it was very 'wet'. Four adults all agreed the chicken was not good. Chicken also needed a little more seasoning on it but it was the wetness that was really off-putting. We also ordered a meat shawarma. The meat on this one was extremely dry. But it was better than being overly wet. The spice on the beef had a cinnamon after-taste which I wasn't crazy about though. The almonds slices on the rice tasted like they were going stale. (Just for reference I've eaten at many Med places in Dearborn along with many Med places on the Van Dyke and M-59 corridors so I know great Med dishes). On the plus side, the pitas and garlic sauce we ordered were good. My daughter-in-law also ordered a falafel sandwich and she said she liked it. We also got hummus and that was a little different too. Almost had a whipped texture to it. On a positive note the salads that came with the dinner were fresh and ok. With the Stone House being a relatively new place I'd like to see them succeed. Hopefully who ever owns it, has good taste-buds and can stay on top of the quality. read more
