She then shares those images with you right on the screen and tell you all that you want to know about the state of your eyes' health. Now it's $25 extra out of pocket (which I can claim from my FSA), but to me it's worth the money for the convenience and superior (permanent) info. Apparently, some of her patients are opting not to have their pupils dilated; they'd say they need to have their full sight for work or something, say they'll come back, but, too often, do not. I got the sense that she took a chance leasing this expensive machine primarily to improve the care that she could offer her patients. I think that's very admirable. Let's hope more of them with take her up on the offer. I sure wouldn't want to mess with my eyes over $25.

As a recent(ish) north Orlando transplant, I've spent a good amount of time this year trying to…read morefind new doctors, grocery stores, etc to replace my favorites from South Florida. Frutchey Eye Care has been one of my best finds this year. The entire office staff, from the front desk, to the optician to the optometrist were all incredibly friendly and helpful. I was able to get in quickly for an appointment (no waiting for weeks!), and I saw Dr. Mark. He was very thorough in his explanations, and I didn't spend too much time waiting for him. The whole process was pretty easy, and he made sure to demonstrate why I might benefit from new glasses (I knew it was long past time though, he didn't need to convince me- I was having a hard time reading street signs at night and knew I needed to get that taken care of ASAP). The selection of glasses is a tad pricy but there are loads of them, and my coverage is decent. The co-pay for the actual office visit wasn't much at all, and they answered all my questions happily. I would definitely recommend them. The day my glasses came in, I got a call late in the evening, and rushed to get there before they closed at 7. I made it at about 6:58 and they were happy to take care of me regardless of the time, which was greatly appreciated. Just to note, the optician isn't available on Wednesdays. I would definitely recommend Frutchey Eye Care for all your optometry needs!

There are 2 doctors in here and at least 7-8 patients in the office at once. They overbook. I wasn't asked if the appointment was for contacts or eye glasses. I was told it would be an additional $94 and another appointment which would cost me another 2 hours (probably more with these wait times) for a contact lens exam. No. Just no.

Wildly different experience then the reviews reflect and not even able to get someone on the phone…read morewhen needed. Was highly recommended to see Kristin Bever. Put in an appt and booked Nov 6. All online. Realize that Dr Bever isn't accepting new patients, and try to call in for another appt / clarity on who the Dr would be. Called 6 times. VM every time. Called on a Monday (they are off) and left a VM. Got a text this morning, which I've asked not to be texted. Email or phonecall. Called 4 times today, saw an appt available for 1:45 and wanted to see if it was actually available and who would be the Dr. (I've called about 6-8 times since my initial booking / referral in 2 weeks) Randomly called about 20 mins ago, got someone abrupt and rude who was more about getting me off the phone than to address my questions. Made me feel stupid that I 'didn't see the note while getting set up for the appt'. You'll be put with someone else. I ask ok... is it always this hard to get someone on the phone? I was told there are 2 people at the desk all morning, my phone is the problem (yeah, calling from 3 different devices that all didn't connect right?). And when asking about the text? "Oh that was me, its easier so I don't have to call people 'that early' in the morning. The text was received 9:38am, your business opens at 10am. What are you talking about? "Aside from all of that, do you want to book with Dr So and so or not?" I choose not, thank you. And never again. I see the majority of these reviews are nonsense - I wanted clarity on what I was booked for and the person on the other end of the phone decided she was going to wake up and said "I choose violence' apparently.
