Botched highlighting job masterfully fixed by Allie! I found HJ through Yelp and Allie was the stylist that could fit my schedule. We hadn't worked with each other before but she's got herself a loyal customer. Since covid I've just been cutting and dying my own hair. Even after I figured it was good enough until I messed it up lol I must've forgotten what it was like to have professional do my hair but even before covid I don't think anyone has taken care of my locks as well as Allie!! Here's what I loved: 1. She was very honest about what we may or may not be able to do and what variables that would include. Like we'll see how well my hair lifts or what color is under the botched highlights. 2. She was very patient and accessible to answer questions before my appointment to make sure the day went smoothly with everyone's expectations clear 3. Her hands are very light! If I can give less stars, I would. The way this salon works is they rent stations to independent hairstylists so my review is specifically for this hairstylist "Zulaa". I went for a haircut with her in December 2023 and everything went fine. Got my haircut (took less than 30 min, didn't even wash my hair but I didn't say anything), thanked her, paid, tipped, and said bye. I reached out to her again today April 2024 to get a new haircut. Her first response was a with a date and time, so I responded asking if she can do a later time on that date, but she didn't respond so I followed up with another message, and her response this time was she's fully booked for the next 2 weeks, so I replied asking to book her soonest availability and put me on her waitlist, only to see her responding that "she is not the right fit for me" and "there are other stylists that can help me with my hair"! And when I asked where is this coming from, her response was that she worked on my hair and she knew we are not a good fit! Not sure what that means in the world of stylist/salon/haircuts.. but to me, this is the opposite of professionalism and lack of good manners.. she started with offering me a slot, then a lie, then ended up telling me "we are not good fit" and wasted my time. I recommended her to a couple of my friends so I called them immediately and said not to go for her, and they agreed that this is rude and not a good customer service. DO NOT recommend! read more

I was so happy to see that my favorite stylist Veronica was working again. I contacted her and was able to get an appointment within a couple weeks. Understandable since everyone and their mothers is trying to get a cut and color right now. We had a quick picture consult about what products I'm using in my hair and how my previous colors have faded during quarantine. She is so great and really wants to go into each appointment with a game plan. My previous color had grown out about 7-8 inches so I needed an overhaul. Once my appointment was confirmed, I received a memo about the COVID-19 procedures in place for their reopening. Everyone is required to go alone, wait in the car until called, wear a mask that hooks behind the ears, get their temperature checked on entry and sanitize their hands. This made me feel safe going in. I'm high risk with my asthma so I'll admit I'm pretty paranoid about exposure to people right now. When I arrived for my appointment at 3pm, I parked and texted Veronica that I was there. She promptly replied that she was finishing wiping down her station from her last client. I was able to come in the building in less than 5 minutes from my arrival. She greeted me and took my temperature to write it in their log book. Then I went to the restroom quickly before we started. The restroom was very clean and there was a huge can of Lysol spray and a counter with hand soap and sanitizer. Huge plus for me right now. I am so happy with the color and cut I received. It's everything I wanted and I'm so happy Veronica could take my half formed ideas and actually make my hair dream a reality. I had a vision and she was able to translate it for me and make it beautiful. 10/10 would recommend this stylist and this salon. read more

I've been going to Karen for almost a year for lashes and she always does an amazing job and deserves 5 stars just for that. BUT TODAY I went in for my first custom blend facial with Karen and she blew it out of the water. She gave me the best facial I've ever had. The area around my mouth has been dry and red since I was in high school and no one has ever been able to hydrate it. I've had many facials done, but she is the only one that has calmed the area and hydrated it. I didn't put moisturizer on that area the whole day, but it doesn't feel dry at all.
