The entryway was well lit, clean and everyone was just ridiculously friendly and working so hard. Seating started at 5:30 and dozens of us were waiting, mingling and happy to be there. They had a bar area set up with beer and wine, so you were able to have a drink while you waited and for dinner. They moved us quickly into the dining room, seating tables of 6- 8 and it was so wonderful to mingle with others. We sat with two other couples and enjoyed chatting with them. We were served a lovely meal... baskets of piping hot fried mushrooms were served to each table, followed by salad with a tasty brie stuffed puff pastry, warm whole grain bread with butter, your choose of prime rib or salmon and fixings and topped off with your choice of chocolate cake, mango cake or cheesecake with cherries. We had the prime rib and it was cooked to a perfect medium rare! The volunteers worked so hard to serve all the tables, refill beverages and clean up! It was a wonderful evening and we'll definitely go back again! I'm looking forward to going by for lunch one of these days that I'm working from home... which has been highly recommended in the past. The Friday of long holiday weekend. I am a recent widow, with no husband to take care of such things. I called friends but no one was available to help. I listened to this poor frantic squirrel all night. It was driving me, & my cat, crazy. I made about 100 calls Sat morning, trying to get someone here to save this squirrel and my sanity. Most calls had no answer. I was told by one pest control guy to call Nuisance Wildlife Management. By this time I was crying as things like this trigger my grief. I called and they were sweet and kind and came right over and spent 2 hours at my house, taking care of the problem. As he worked, Rob talked to me about my husband and was so kind and caring. When he went to leave, I asked what I owed him and he said "Nothing!" I tried to pay him but he insisted I not! He restored my faith in humanity!
