Such sweet ladies working. We stopped in and asked if they could make us coffee to go and they happily did. This is a gorgeous historic building with high ceilings and charm. We had to grab a giant oatmeal raisin cookie as well, delicious! We will plan to come back again soon. Truly a darling establishment!

We passed through Sweetwater and made a second trip that way and browsed some antique stores there. We decided to eat local and gave this place a try. The visitors center recommended and said their food was always good. We decided on burgers. I got the spicy burger and husband got a regular hamburger. Both were hot and tasty! The server was super nice, stayed on top of things and mentioned they use local farmers for their beef. We wanted some banana bread but it was sold out before we could try some! They have very generous portions in their bakery window and def will stop again if we travel that direction again. Also, it's a local family that works in the cafe, they cook, bake etc!

On Saturday, after a long day of riding our scooters (Motorcycles) and on our way back we went through Sweetwater, TN, which if you haven't been, has some nice shops and a quaint little town. ANYWAY, it is a local "Café" and I really wanted a cold beer and when we went in and sat down, low and behold, they had bottle beer! Not a big selection but typical domestic stuff, but no craft beer so the don't get a +1 from me but will give them 1/2 point. Place has maybe 18 - 4 people tables and the place has obviously been there a long time and had that old town atmosphere which is still around in these small towns thank goodness. The service was also friendly and fast. Prices were very reasonable, and I had potato skins (5) and they were hot and tasty. The burgers and fries were very good, and the food portions were plentiful. They have a great selection of dinners, sandwiches and appetizers. I give it a solid 4 for the atmosphere, price and service. I like it! I suggest you stop in if hungry and you are in town.

Came to Tennessee on vacation saw this cute little cafe on main street. Had to come! Amazingly quick service. Old cozy atmosphere. Love the creaky floorboards. The Cesar salad was amazing. The lettuce was fresh and everything was homemade. down to the croutons. I ate every last bite. Highly recommend. After that I had the apple cake. It was very good. There was a nice crust on top. Would've been nice with ice cream. Very moist and nice. Overall amazing restaurant. Keep it up!!

Nice storefront restaurant. Really tasty club sandwich and fries. The old style building and friendly staff made it a great experience.

Side note the walk up window was so cute. Immediately upon walking in I was in awe. The attention to detail in this shop was top tier design. The ladies working when we went were so sweet and very helpful. I also really love the swag that they have. I am kicking myself for not buying the denim hat! Now onto the coffee. I tried the Blueberry Crisp Latte. The notes of the blueberry were good. Not overpowering and just the right bit of top and bottom. I love to taste the flavor as a finishing note as well. My daughter had a Vanilla Frappe which she enjoyed. I definitely will return whenever I am in Knoxville.

The staff was super friendly, the inside was super clean, all the things you'd hope for in a coffee shop. It was also nice to not feel herded along like you would at a Starbucks or donut shops that happen to sell coffee. I cannot vouch for any other flavors yet, I need more time to really get into it - see you soon! Get here!

We stumbled onto this darling bakery/café entirely by accident on a pretty Saturday in November,…read moreand oh, my, what a lucky find!!! This is now my favorite restaurant in Sweetwater! Dear Hubby got the turkey melt, which he loved, but I won the lottery with the "BLT." (I would call it the Bacon Pesto Deliciousness, but that's just me.) On fabulous sour dough bread, this sandwich has all the expected bacon and tomato, but it pumps up the volume with spinach instead of lettuce, pesto instead of mayonnaise, and thick, gooey slices of fresh mozzarella. And it's crisply grilled in a panini press, so it's pretty *and* tasty all at the same time. Highly recommend it!!! The shop is tiny, so I'm really torn about giving it a good review. I mean, I don't want it to get so crowded that I can't grab lunch for myself. On the other hand, this is literally the only dining spot in town that clearly makes everything from scratch instead of just defrosting whatever comes off a Sysco truck. Oh, how I have longed for one single nice restaurant near my home! Finally, Apero to the rescue! It's in a nice space near the gazebo on Main Street in downtown Sweetwater -- the ceiling boasts the original pressed-tin tiles from the turn of the last century. (OK, the floors are luxury vinyl plank, so, well, I have to admit that's not great, but it's probably a lot more durable than the original floor, whatever it was.) There are shelves filled with gifty-type tchotchkes and locally made sweets. The bakery display is filled with handmade cookies -- I wisely got the Texas Sheet Cake cookies and lemon cookies, and a couple of nearly-all-sold-out chocolate chip cookies. Oh! The Texas Sheet Cake cookies are divine!!!! I just -- oh, I ate one in the car on the way home (a ten-minute trip), and by the time I got home, I wanted another one immediately. But my rotten husband ate it! Right there in front of me! Alas, I will have to wait until next weekend to get more. And that's the thing: I will be back for more. The lemon cookies are fabulous, too. The chocolate chip cookies are exactly what one expects in a quality Toll House recipe, but ... well, really, that's a fairly common cookie. Less common are the Texas Sheet Cake and lemon varieties. (People who have lived in East Tennessee for 6 decades will immediately ask if the lemon cookies can compare to Ham'n'Goody's lemon cookies, and the answer is yes. YES. These lemon cookies stand up to those lemon cookies of lore. They are just as good, and you don't have to drive all the way to Knoxville!) I sadly didn't have time to take pictures of the cookies before they were devoured, but they came in an adorable box (yay, no plastic!). Highly recommend! Totally affordable! Excellent sandwiches and cookies! Next week, I'll get the soup, whatever it is. Oh, I hope they have those Texas Sheet Cake cookies all the time!
