This is the cutest coffee shop I've ever been to. They have mugs all along the bottom of the register counter where you can just grab a mug and they'll fill it up for you. What a cute place. I'm always about supporting local but when they kick it up a notch and bring faith into it I love it even more. Not always are they the best but in this case it was parent approved as they had the cappuccino and like me I don't like paper cups so serving in a mug was already a plus. We had high hopes based on the rating and were looking forward to grabbing coffee before walking around town to shop. There were two people working behind the counter as we approached and neither greeted us or even acknowledged us for about 5 mins when they finally rudely said "did you order?" There were only 3 other customers sitting in the shop but it took 10 mins to get an americano and chai latte after we ordered. The americano just tasted like a bad cup of coffee. The chai latte was ok, more milk than chai but more drinkable than the americano. Hopefully we just had an isolated poor experience and it's usually better. read more

I was SCOLDED by the young girl working who had mopped early (obviously trying to get out of there as soon as they closed) I had to use the restroom! If you serve drinks, you offer a restroom for people! The other girl told me to go right ahead, then I was asked "Did you just go back there?" and HUFFED AND PUFFED about it and rolled her eyes as she finished our coffees. I visited this place during a weeklong trip to tn. We wound up driving into sweetwater by accident while trying to find a good view of the solar eclipse. I am a baker back home and really loved the building this coffee shop was in. They were under construction at the time and I mentioned to the owner my love for the building and baking. The cutest coffee shop ever! Even better than I imagined when I first heard one was opening in town. Conveniently located in the heart of downtown, situated between adorable boutiques and antique shops. When I stepped inside, I was taken to a totally different place. This coffee shop does not feel like it's in a tiny southern town. It has a big city feel but it's still cozy. I was greeted by a very friendly barista who was eager to recommend a few of their specialities. My order took a few minutes but they make everything the right way, no premade mixes, fresh espresso. Their bakery case was a little bare but it was later in the afternoon and judging by the traffic while I was in there, it's safe to assume they started with a full case and customers gladly helped them empty it. Surprisingly, they had a gluten free option. It was a chocolate chip coconut macaroon and it was soooo yummy. I should have been naughty and ordered two. I can't remember specifically what my drink was called but it was something the barista recommended as their top seller and it did not disappoint. The atmosphere feels so cozy and relaxing, it honestly felt like home. Several people were working on their laptops or reading books. I noticed in one corner was a comfy sofa with a book shelf full of books for customers. I was visiting with a friend but I definitely plan to visit again and allow myself time to relax and curl up with my coffee and a good book. I especially liked the modern Christian music they were playing and the words of Godly encouragement placed around the place. Everything was super clean. Parking along the street can be tight but there is a parking lot across the street. The Italian restaurant next door is also delicious, I recommend lunch there and dessert here. My friend Kelly, at Whites Marble Works told me that I needed to go and check out a quaint little Coffeehouse in downtown Sweetwater. So of course I headed right over - and am so happy that I did! What an absolutely charming place! It is located in a nostalgic old building right along main street, with brick interior walls and wooden floors. It is decorated with some old tables, a comfortable sitting area with a couch and some comfy chairs and a separate room toward the back which was more intimate and quiet, with varied comfortable seating as well. Did I mention...... charming?!!! They have an in house baker who operates a business within the coffeehouse selling homemade baked goods to enjoy along with the various hot or cold drinks you can order. The owner, Kendra Moreau, was so very friendly and sweet. I would have loved to sit down with her to visit if time would have permitted it. Maybe next time.......because I will be back! read more
