While in Knoxville we found this cute coffee shop tucking into a small plaza. I love that it was super easy to get to. Plus they had ample parking. Side note the walk up window was so cute. Immediately upon walking in I was in awe. The attention to detail in this shop was top tier design. The ladies working when we went were so sweet and very helpful. I also really love the swag that they have. I am kicking myself for not buying the denim hat! Now onto the coffee. I tried the Blueberry Crisp Latte. The notes of the blueberry were good. Not overpowering and just the right bit of top and bottom. I love to taste the flavor as a finishing note as well. My daughter had a Vanilla Frappe which she enjoyed. What a great morning treat - I stopped by here recently to network with a local colleague and thought the conversation would be what I enjoyed the most - HOWEVER, the "Cinnamoon" coffee distracted me with every sip! The staff was super friendly, the inside was super clean, all the things you'd hope for in a coffee shop. It was also nice to not feel herded along like you would at a Starbucks or donut shops that happen to sell coffee. Summer Moon is a cool and happening coffee spot in Farragut. The coffee is really good, and their store-made sweet cream (moon milk) adds a nice sweetness without being too sweet. The service was friendly and quick. Lots of small tables, some couches and a fireplace. For Christmas, they had it decorated festively and had a Santa for kids. We will definitely be back. read more

This was my second visit and I came to meet a friend. The chairs were comfy and we literally sat chatting for several hours. I ordered the Strawberry Refresher. It was really tasty! It was too sweet at first, but perfect as soon as I mixed it and let the ice melt. Oh, I loved the restroom and that it was clean. The barista was nice but I wish she clarified which milk I wanted because I didn't know about the moon milk they use. I visited about a month ago and I was very intrigued by the concept of their "moon milk." Essentially it is a sweet milk, consistency of an oat milk but a sweeter taste. When we walked in, everyone was very kind. The barista at the register even let us try some moon milk before we ordered. I ordered an iced matcha and my friends ordered lattes. My matcha had to be made twice because the barista was in training so they let me take both, very kind of them. However, the matcha was not the best. I'm new into the matcha scene but it just tasted very powdery. The lattes my friends had were delicious so I was a little jealous. We sat inside for a while and it was a very comfortable vibe. The baristas were very kind and helpful when I asked about alternative milks. They also have a scale that measures ingredients which was really impressive to me as someone who likes consistency. I got a rather simple coffee, but it tasted a little burnt and bitter which could have been a number of factors. The glasses were very pretty and it was ready very quickly. The bathrooms were a little messy, but again, it was very busy so I don't blame them. I will be back to try some of their food items that looked great! read more

We decided to try out this new-to-us place for our coffee and matcha fix instead of our old standard. It was big and cute inside. They have organic coffee, which is a plus as well as some pastries that are both gluten free and vegan by Benefit Your Life. The staff taking our order was super nice and helpful. Unfortunately it was so cold inside, that we couldn't stay and drink our drinks since we were freezing. The wheels started to come off when we ordered. My matcha questions revealed that they don't make what I consider to be a standard matcha latte. For me, a matcha latte means water, ground up matcha green tea and plant milk. That's it. Matcha in a can or bag with any other fillers or ingredients isn't a true matcha. Summer Moon is one of those places that doesn't just use 100% pure matcha green tea. The person taking the order said the ingredients just said matcha and something about corn powder or corn fiber or something. Yes, I'm picky. I ordered anyway. I'd brought my own cup that they couldn't take behind the counter but would pour into once it was made. Once they did that, a huge glob of something the size of a tea bag plopped out of their steam container into my cup. The barista said she thought the powder had formed a big glob. She took it around the corner and did something and when she poured it, there was no glob this time. Personally, I'd have re-made the drink. My husband got a mocha and the chocolate used in it was vegan, glad for that. But, it tasted like a hot chocolate with little to no espresso or coffee in it and was super sweet. My matcha was not smooth tasting and had a bit of a bitter aftertaste and was also really sweet. We proceeded on to our favorite coffee place. If we hadn't stopped, we wouldn't know. read more

There are menus when you walk in and descriptions of the coffees and roasts. Super cute merchandise lines the walls and creates order/pick-up lanes. There are even coffee scented candles, which I can't wait to snag next time I go in. They share both a building and parking with neighbor 35North. It works because the busy times for both businesses are opposite schedules. No signage (yet) about it, but Summer Moon also shares the outdoor space with 35N, creating ample seating choices. There is even covered outdoor seating to shield you from sun or rain. I tried a cold brew and it was delicious-very smooth and perfectly strong. They made sure I knew about the Moon Milk, which is their signature sweet cream. Otherwise, they have a sugar, sweetener, and half-and-half station at the end of the pickup counter for you to doctor up your drink. Go big or go home...my friend and I went for the sweet cream and then did not need any sugar/sweetener. While the couches and tables looked inviting, we enjoyed the gorgeous day at a covered table out on the patio next door. It was a glorious day and a fabulous experience. Summer Moon is a super cute new coffee shop in Farragut that also offers "moon milk." Moon milk is milk infused with spices or herbs and other ingredients. Warm at night it can help you sleep. It's very common in other cultures but new to East Tennessee. The owners are transplants from Texas, as is this brand. They wood fire the beans in TX and then ship them here. I wasn't able to find out where they source their green beans from or how long that shipping takes yet. (A bean after roasting is best after 4-6 days for optimal flavor profiles.) Inside is cute and clean, once the opening hubbub dies down it will be a comfy place to sit and sip one's coffee or bakery treats. They have lots of swag and branding from Coffee Mugs, stickers, hats, t-shirts and more. The only downside is the lack of parking. You can park across Campbell Station and walk across though. read more

Great new coffee shop!! Summer moon is a Texas chain. Not many locations outside the state. Their theme is oak roasted coffee. Summer Moon is located next to 35 North (corner of Campbell Station and Kingston Pike) in a brand new space. Inside, it looks like an rustic home with brick fireplace and modern light fixtures. Very stylish interior design. Also, huge selection of roasted coffee, mugs, t-shirts, and snacks (including local items such as gluten free bakery and Kookie cookies). Brewed coffee was good. Better than Starbucks across the street. But, I would still give Honeybee an edge as being higher grade. Still, great option overall. They have some unique drinks and "moon milk" which is a flavored milk. Non-dairy options including coconut milk are also available. Seating is limited and so is parking. So, come early or try parking at the park across the street. Overall: Highly recommended. Very good place and great addition to Farragut. read more

Met up with some friends here on a Tuesday morning to catch up over some coffee and pastries. The woman who took my order was friendly and patiently answered all my questions about the menu. I found the ambience inviting with a refreshing modern farmhouse-vibe on the decor and a bright, spacious interior with plenty of seating. Their coffee is "oak roasted" in Texas (which is where the chain originated) and their pastries are shipped in from Georgia a few times a week. I thought the espresso was good even though i didn't particularly pick up on the special oak-roasting notes, i think I'll try their Nitro next time. I have had great experiences at Summer Moon. The staff are always super friendly and helpful, and I love being able to customize the amount of sweetness in my coffee beyond "half sweet." Their signature "moon milk" was described to me as being like melted ice cream, and that's accurate--I enjoy the whisper moon (1/8 portion moon milk) latte and the 1/4 moon latte, depending on the day. They have pastries and oatmeal; I've gotten the oatmeal, and it's also not too sweet. I wish that they had some savory food options (bagel sandwiches would be awesome), but I understand not being built for the extra cooking. The space is perfect for working or studying; there are tables, leather arm chairs, and tall bar seating with plenty of outlets available. The shop is L-shaped; if you like it quieter, sit around the corner from the register area. They also have a kids corner, which is nice. read more

This is definitely some of the smoothest brew in town. And, the prices are pretty much the same as coffees from the predominant national chain in town, whose coffees tend to be on the bitter side. Not so here. One sip of a latte and I was hooked. I like this place so much that a few times, I've driven the 5 mile round trip and then headed home to fix breakfast. Yes it's that good. The atmosphere is modern yet relaxed with a fireplace to cozy up to on chilly days. Always clean and a perfect place for a meet up with free WiFi. There is also a walk-up window for those who prefer not to go inside. The only negative is that their pastries are not usually fresh. I talked with an employee who said it's hit and miss. If you order a pastry on the day it arrived, then you'll be okay, but some pastries stay in the store until their code date expires (4-days). The coffee is wonderful and I was enjoying the atmosphere .... Until.... A modeling service/company was in doing photo shoots with music playing from there phones. The teenage girls with props toot up the bathroom to change various times, blocked people from walking, made people uncomfortable and feel like they're in the way. I saw this at K-Brew a few times too. How is this ok with the owners? It makes all the other patrons that are actually drinking coffee feel like we're in the way! I guess I'll stick to Starbucks. Based upon a fellow yelpers recommendation I decided to try summer moon coffee shop. This is an awesome coffee shop located in Farragut next to the 34 North restaurant. It's a little upscale as you might expect due to the location. It doesn't feel snooty though but just kinda classy. I had one of the cold brews, my personal favorite. Its my favorite combination of sweet and bitter. Very good i thought. The cashier was wonderful and did the best job of explaining half moon vs quarter moon drink variations. The parking lot is crowded and turning off is a little tricky. The coffee house clientele was an assortment of retirees and local younger folk. Good atmosphere great coffee. read more

So, my entire family popped by here (3/23/23), sans one brother. It's my third time at this location, the first being a short trip in November on the way back from a rather confusing trip to the Babyland General Hospital, the details of which I do not want to have to explain at this time. Anyhoo. This location is really cool. One of the more deprecating criticisms I've seen so far compares the seating area to "something out of a pre-teen girl's imagination" (I'm paraphrasing). I don't know many preteen girls, so I have no clue how accurate this is. I do, however, feel like this would be an excellent place to study or meet a date or something (It's very green, which is soothing). I guess you could also just pop in to get a quick something-something to sip/nibble, but what's the fun in that? I keep getting off track. So, I only get like, two things when I come here: The Quarter Winter Moon and the Chocolate Croissant. Both are quite substantial and leave very little to be desired, although I do say that I haven't gotten the croissant in a while. It's honestly not that shocking that the employees are equally kind at every SummerMoon location I've been to thus far. I mean, a member of our party ordered and off-menu drink and they were able to whip it up, no issue. Of course, this is not to encourage y'all to bereave these poor baristas, but still. There was a very kind lady who took my order twice in a row. She nearly remembered my name the second time round, which made me feel equal parts embarrassed and seen (but in a good way, trust me).
