After reading the reviews of this company, I decided to give Hunter Heating a try, and I am THOROUGHLY pleased that I did. I would recommend him 100%. I had horrible ringing noise in my furnace, and I had hired another company to fix it, but the worker could not diagnose the problem, and wasn't helpful at all. Thus I was very apprehensive and disheartened about trying to find and pay another company. After reading the reviews on Hunter Heating, I decided to give them a call. Right away, on the phone, I found Breck to be quite helpful and sincere; taking time to answer my NUMEROUS questions, BEFORE I even hired him to do the work! This gave me a good feeling about Hunter Heating. On site it was clear that Breck was very knowledgeable and experienced, and unlike other companies I had used in the past. I felt like I had hired a "friend" to come over and fix my furnace - THAT is how personable he was. He was: cordial, genuine, respectful, extremely knowledgeable, efficient, generous, and truly went above and beyond. You will find that he is refreshingly cheerful and earnest, and seems to genuinely love his job, and meeting customers. His work was fast and tidy. He thoroughly explained everything to me, and my options, he let me watch him work, and we had a lovely enjoyable conversation about his wife, kids, and starting the company. He even worked overtime, and came back to do the work after picking up his young son - who was such a delight and truly pleasant. I am on disability, and have numerous doctors appointments, Breck was kind enough to help me out accommodating my schedule, and fit me in right away. He was also very generous with his invoice, which has NEVER happened to me before. I am go grateful. Put simply: this is a genuinely nice guy, with extensive knowledge and expertise, doing superb work. I am completely satisfied and impressed by Breck an the work he did at my house. I called Breck to come out to inspect 2 - 1979 furnaces prior to putting in an offer on our home. Brecks impressive knowledge, professionalism and character sold me in wanting to hire him. Breck did find a very small crack in one of the heat exchangers which gave us leverage in negotiations seeing that this unit was no longer fit to be in service. A few months passed and we finally moved into our "new" 1979 home. I called Breck to come by to prepare a proper quote to replace both furnaces, replace the old hot water tank with a tankless system and install an AC condenser. Breck prepared a quote with no commitment needed on the quantity of work we were willing to execute on. We did end up going forward with the entire scope we requested the quote for based on cost. After we accepted the quote, Breck and his helper Brandon were able to start the project at the beginning of the next week. The guys worked with no interruptions to other projects for 4 full days. Their commitment to getting our hot water and AC up and running ASAP was a gesture that my family appreciated greatly. Breck and Brandon were extremely punctual, polite to my entire family, gave a detailed update on each days tasks which were completed as well what was next to come. One final thing to mention which is probably the most important to people wanting to hire a professional is that the final product which Hunters Heating delivered on impressed me. I am a tradesmen myself and I am a huge critic of other peoples work. I could not have asked for a more visually appealing install. Great job guys. In October 2022, we were looking for a new furnace and set out to get quotes. I'd had three businesses come and all three quoted the same price, within $50 or so. Okay, so that's going to be the price. Then a neighbor in my community recommended Hunter's as she's been working with them in numerous projects. No harm getting a fourth quote. Breck came out to the house and talked with me about his experience, and we discussed furnace options and ways to vent, etc. I did disclose that I'd had three quotes already, one of which Breck had worked for prior to starting his own company. Breck said he'd get the quote to me in short order. And as he was leaving, commented that his quotes generally come in less than the competition. He was right. significantly less. We had the furnace installed in mid-December (-30° that particular day) and it all went smoothly. Replacing the original furnace produced a new "issue"; the blower was more powerful than we'd been accustomed to. Hunter's sent a tech out to address our concerns and had assumed there might be a part issue so came armed with the replacement part. wasn't needed. Only needed to adjust settings on the furnace. He also helped narrow down a whistle to a particular duct line and did more than what was necessary to try and resolve that, since it had nothing to do with the furnace or its installation. Hunter's also organized the inspection of the unit. The City came out and inspection passed within minutes. Looking forward to more efficient heating!! read more

After Hunter's Heating came to fix and install a new inducer motor in my furnace, I had a noise that I wasn't sure about. So I called Hunter Heating back, and Breck was more than happy to come out and make sure everything was ok. He came back to my house, checked over the furnace, tightened everything, and re-assessed all the work he previously did, confirming that everything was good, and safe. The noise was nothing to worry about, and was simply the sound of the new motor running. Breck was very helpful in explaining everything, and he did not charge for this second call out. In addition, while he was here he also checked my CO2 levels in my house after I had told him that I was having problems with my CO2 detector. And gave me some tips on placement and numbers to watch for. Overall, I'm very satisfied with this company and the thoroughness of his work, and his willingness to go the extra mile to help out and explain things in easy language. read more

I got Brecks number from another highly rated company and had 3 different businesses come and quote on replacing my furnace and hot water tank in the fall 2017. Breck was the most prompt and professional in terms of the quote, and his price was exactly on point. He was already engaged in another job, so asked if I was okay with his colleagues doing the work, a nice consideration. The work was done on time and without any hassles, but a join part was leaky. Breck came out to my house on thanksgiving Saturday to repair the join! Way above and beyond customer service. He even emailed me to remind me to have the city inspect so the permit would be valid for resale. A direct quote from the city inspector "it's so easy when it's done right!" I had an issue with my furnace at my place in Calgary and had some friends using the place whose daughter is in hospital so I was stressed leaving them with no heat. As I wasn't there (and couldn't be) i was very stressed about getting it sorted and not getting ripped off. I called these guys based on reviews and was not disappointed! I explained the situation and they expedited getting it fixed. They looked at all options and gave me every option and the cost of each. To add to the service above and beyond they talked to other customers and explained the situation with the family using my place and we're able to juggle jobs to get in there fast. To say that Hunters Heating saved me thousands of dollars would not be an over statement. i contacted Michelle in the office to get a second opinion after another company told me I needed a part that Would cost thousands or need a new furnace all together. After talking to Michelle she was able to send Vlad out within a couple hours. Vlad, the technician, was incredibly knowledgeable, efficient and friendly. I had installed a NEST thermostat (typical DIY project) but it ended up needing a professional (not surprising!) to truly get it working properly due to more intricate wiring that YouTube doesn't really address.
