We started our daughter at this center last Fall because of her struggles with ELA after our parent-teacher conference. We knew we had to step in as parents to invest in our child to give her more confidence and to help her excel and succeed at school. Our daughter loves all her tutors at this center. The administration of this center is very professional and works very hard to tailor the program to your child's needs. They are accommodating and communicate with the parents monthly about your child's progress. The tutors are all certified teachers and make learning fun. When you see an 8 year old skipping merrily into the center for tutoring, you know they are doing something right! We are very pleased with our child's progress to date and have seen major improvements in her report card at the end of the school year. We went from being told by her teacher that "she might to be in an IEP program in the Fall" to "she has made amazing progress and is ready to go into 3rd grade!". Her report card went from mostly 2s, 3s and a few 4s, to all 3s and 4s and only one 2 at the end of the school year. Her work habit categories scores went from S to E. We can't thank Huntington enough for being such a positive influence on our child. Her confidence and study skills have improved tremendously. We are so excited that our child will be continuing to learn and excel throughout the summer with Huntington as well as into the next school year. Look out, 3rd grade! Here we come! read more

My 14 yr. old daughter is an above average student who was struggling a bit with Geometry. HLC provided a thorough assessment which not only evaluated her in mathmatics, but in many other areas as well. HLC was able to determine that my daughter had some learning gaps in her academic past that were negatively affecting her now. They are currently helping her in many areas including Geometry. She has improved markedly in Geometry. She showed tremendous improvement on her final semester exam and is using that positive momentum at the start of this semester. Her confidence has skyrocketed and she is participating and enjoying geometry!! Yesterday the teacher was asking questions and my daughter raised her hand to answer every question. SHE WAS HAVING FUN!! the teacher finally had to ask the class if anyone "other than my daughter" knew the answer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Awesome place, great teachers, and very reasonably priced. It costs less than private tutoring and their approach is much more systematic and thorough. They help her with study habits and they teach her how to learn, in addition to helping her with her her classroom subjects. My daughter never has had trouble with school or grades. Her junior year in high school, we found she did struggle with the standardized tests required for college admissions. We purchased the study guides, took the mock tests, but her scores never seemed to be where we needed them. We contacted Huntington Learning Center. They evaluated her, determined what areas she was the weakest and started working with her. We approached Huntington somewhat late in the game. Her senior year was just beginning and she had only a couple months before the next (and final) ACT test that would be counted toward early admissions for her college of choice. Long story short - even though we were on a crash course and were unable to take the full (recommended) course study for her weak areas - her math and science scores increased 4 and 5 points, respectively, on the ACT. She has been accepted (early admissions) to her college of choice and has a full academic scholarship to go with it. I wish we had started the Huntington process sooner. They were able to work around her busy senior schedule that included work/studies/sports to get her sessions in. Highly recommend these guys. read more

We have learned over the last 2 years that our son needs to keep up to date on school skills especially over the summer months, to be ready to tackle the next grade. We have tried Sylvan, but have really enjoyed Huntington and will continue. We appreciate the professionalism, friendliness and true helpfulness of the staff and the one on one for the students. The reports we get about every 2 months has been in sync with what we see that he needs to work on and what he is doing well on. The extra attention has built our son's confidence on tackling new things in school, and how he does in comparison to his school mates. He doesn't seem to say 'I can't do this or that' but understands he has to work on it; some kids get it quicker than others. He has worked on reading, writing, organizational, comprehension and math skills. Many times after class is done, he says I did great on this or that activity. We have been exceptionally pleased with our experiences at Huntington Learning Center on Bethelview Rd. The administrative staff is friendly, approachable, and quick to respond to emails and phone calls. The tutors are experienced certified teachers who are familiar with school curriculum, and they know how to relate to and support their students. As a team they have addressed the individual academic needs of my kids while also instilling the confidence they need to succeed. I'm proud to say that two of my children are HLC graduates. My middle-schooler gained all the tools necessary to achieve his targeted ACT score, and my high-schooler filled in some gaps to help him conquer his math EOCT. We took our daughter to this Huntington, because she was struggling in Reading, Math and study skills. After 8 months of tutoring she started the 5th grade and her grades went up tremendously. She is now in the 6th grade and the study skills she learned there has helped her make the transition into middle school very smooth. Now our son, who is in high school, goes there for Language arts help, because of the miracles they performed for our daughter. The owner, Mark and the office Manager, Courtney are very friendly and always there to answer questions or lend an ear when you, the parent, are frustrated! My daughter's school was talking about detaining her in first grade back in March. I enrolled her at Huntington and within 2 months she showed major improvements in reading and writing. During the last meeting at school the beginning of May, the school no longer was mentioning leaving her back. They also agreed that they saw major improvements. She is still attending for the summer in preparation for second grade. The staff and team have addressed all my concerns and my daughters needs. Hunting shows dedication in the success of it's students and are very professional. I would recommend them to anyone who has a child that may be struggling academically. I went to Huntington for SAT prep & the people there were so nice. They helped me a lot & helped me get confidence to even take the SAT. Huntington helped me increase my SAT score by 70 points which I was truly proud about. So thank you so much Mark & Courtney I truly appreciate all you have done . Huntington Learning Center in Cumming Georgia has been very helpful in preparing my 2 kids for The SAT and The ACT. My oldest prepared for the SAT and was able to increase her SAT scores over 200 points in 6 weeks. My youngest prepped at Huntington for the ACT and increased her overall score by 3 total points. Her goal was to increase overall by 2 points which she exceeded. She increased her scores in english by 7 points, Math 2 points, Reading 2 points and Science 2 points. We are very pleased. C. The teachers at this center were awesome. There were some tutoring days that we missed because of the snow but they got my son in as quick as they could. I really appreciated that because he was taking the ACT that weekend! He also felt very confident about taking the ACT after his 10 hours of classes. I highly recommend this center! read more
