4.5 hour layover where we already got cleared by customs and security and stuck in an international wing where we can't access any of the priority pass lounges (which I've found are pretty out of the way and useless these days anyway but that's a different review). You won't find much in this odd "pre-cleared" terminal besides a cafe, Houston's with atrocious reviews, a Starbucks and Hurley's Irish pub. So Hurley's it was. My boo asked for spiced apple cider, which they didn't have anymore, so settled on the Nutty Irishman which packed quite a punch. We shared the wedge salad and the Montreal smoked meat poutine. Both decent portions. Parts of the lettuce were brown and the smoke meat tasted off (like chemicals) to me, but maybe that was just me. Expensive airport pricing too! But service was great. They were thankfully able to put together a table for the 3 of us pretty quick, with space for our stroller. The server was really friendly and helpful, attentive throughout our time there. We waited 10 mins for the hostess to even show up and then another 10 for our server to come say hi, even though it was only 3/4 full. My wife ordered a Caesar Salad and glass of wine while I got the Cheeseburger and a Labatt's Blue. Our lunch arrived in about 15 mins but we made good choices. The salad was large, as was my cheeseburger but the cost was way out of line, even for an airport restaurant. I mean, $17.50 for a glass of wine? C'mon. While waiting for the plane we had lunch here since the options in this terminal were slim. Two of us had burgers and one person had the wings. The food was surprisingly good for an airport. A lot of the seating has outlets so you can charge your devices before getting on the plane. The poutine was ok. The wings were spicy and the service was fine. Hurley's was serving breakfast but since it was the airport, guests were enjoying Guinesses with their eggs. A huge bar dominated the space, with small tables throughout. Guests, singles and groups, came and went, many of them also taking a pause in their travel. I wanted a smoked meat sandwich but as I said, Hurley's was only serving breakfast, so I had a close equivalent, the Urban Breakfast Bun. The sandwich featured the requisite egg and cheddar but was also topped with smoked meat, lettuce, and a tomato slice, as well. Potato wedges were served with the sandwich. The Fish and Chips shrunk in size by 75%. We came here last year and the fish portion was British sized now they are just nuggets. For $30 we felt it was poor value. Located inside the Montreal airport in the wing with gates in 70's and higher. This takes on the look of a British pub. There's bar seating and seats inside and outside. We were seated right away, but the food did take a while to come out and our server took a while to take our order, only because they are short staffed. It's somewhat strange to find an Irish themed pub inside a French Canadian airport, but here I am. I am here on Christmas Day as my flight was delayed a day. The Irish music was uplifting, but I refrained from dancing as I didn't know if I could keep my arms at my side. I ordered the Hurleys Hefty Platter, substituting a salad for the chips. The salad and dressing were excellent. The bun was toasted, and was like a pretzel bun. I'm not sure what to make of the burger patty. The menu said Canadian Beef, but it sure looked and tasted like a vegan burger. I checked my receipt, and it confirmed my Hefty order. Since I don't know the difference between US and Canadian beef, I suppose it could have been anything. Whatever it was, I was hungry so it hit the spot. The service was great as well. The male bartender here is by far one of the rudest people I've ever met. Second time I've been in here and he's ignored me as I've standed at the bar to ask for something. Food is ok. Hurley's a Yul is an Irish pub-style restaurant at the South-East end of the international departures terminal at the Montreal ("YUL") Pierre Elliot Trudeau airport. I had a long day of flying ahead of me, so I scanned the different food stops along the gate strip, hunting for something hearty, filling and tasty. Hurley's was it. There was another place at the opposite end that had burgers and sandwiches, but the Hurley's menu seemed closer to a sit-down restaurant menu, less a-la-carte. This place is busy. I waited at the receiving area for about five minutes before a server noticed me, and prompted me to sit at the bar. I stated I wanted my food to go, and ordered a "Murph" burger. My order took a bit long, maybe 20 minutes. This is understandable given how busy the place was, but was a bit worrisome for me since I had a flight to catch. I checked in with my waiter, Carmelo, and he quickly found out that the meal was being packaged to-go. Carmelo returned with my burger, and I rushed out to my departing gate. Once I opened my food on the plane, I was pleased to see that it was doubly-packaged in both foil and a styrofoam container, probably taking into consideration that my meal might get tossed around with travel. The fries, steak cut, were delicious, with an almost caramelized, toasted hint of flavor, not dry at all. My burger was so tasty. The caramelized onions perfectly complemented my beef patty which was well cooked, not overly done, so it kept it's profile of flavors. The jalapenos added a nice kick, and the havarti cheese matched the rest of the burger perfectly, bringing all the flavors together. I realized as I had paid that the burger cost $1 more than advertised. While it's not a big difference, it would be nice if the menu prices were as advertised, or if I had been told of the price difference. This and the wait, are the only reason I'm giving Yul's 4 instead of 5 stars. The food was really superb! read more

This is a nice place to sit and wait for your next flight. Had an extended wait for my flight since I needed a COVID test before coming back stateside. My group was waiting long enough where we got breakfast and lunch here. The breakfasts were decent. The lunches were better. Fish and chips was serviceable. The sandwiches were good. Decent wine selection. Comfortable setting with present service. Their beer selection was a bit meh, but the whiskey selection was very impressive for an airport bar. I have been to this iris pub located at the airport a couple of times. Great bar service. The bartenders introduce themselves which I find at other places 50% of the time and they ask when your flight departure is so they can tailor your experience and meal recommendations. This bar looks older than most at this airport, but they make up for it in service and food quality. Definitely a great place to catch game updates and kill sometime. If my flight wasn't delayed a few hours, I would've rated this place lower. Their service was so awful that while I waited for a new beer, I saw two different tables sit down, look at the menu, wait for their server for about 15-20 min so they could order and eventually just got up and left. But since I had hours to kill, I didn't care too much. While I could've had about 5 beers, I left this place with 2. All the servers/hostess were kind but extremely slow. Went for breakfast at Harley's in the Montréal Airport. Waited 15 minutes to order coffee. I went to ask the lady working there if I could order coffee. She told me me she couldn't help me because she already got yelled at my the gentleman that was supposed to be doing our table. I went back to my table and waited another 5 minutes for this guy to show up. We ordered our coffee and food. Everyone else that came after we did was getting their food while this same guy is now working at the bar making drinks and talking to the customers. I got up and asked him if our food was ready yet. (How would he know since he's doing the bar and cash register). He yelled if I was in a hurry I should go someplace else and I was not SPECIAL. I was there 20 minutes or more with no service while everyone else the lady was helping. My voice got a bit louder and he told me he was going to call security on me. We paid for our coffee and left.
