I can't review the course because they cancelled our league outing 3 DAYS BEFORE the outing! Their…read moreexcuse was that a 'disgruntled ex-employee' deleted some bookings and now they have a much larger outing (28 person vs 144 person) that just happened to get scheduled in the now open time slot. Their offer of compensation to 'show how important our business is'.... one (1) round for a 4-some with a cart and lunch for scheduling a bigger outing instead of honoring their original commitment. Instead of shifting when the larger outing started, we're only seven (7) tee times, they simply cancelled ours. I work at another course and I know that a 144 person outing doesn't just pop up three (3) days before the outing. They knew for quite some time. That really sucks. We decided on going to a different course instead of taking their offer to push it back 2 weeks because many could not make the rescheduled offer, and quite honestly, don't want to give Moose Ridge our money for treating us so poorly. I understand that they are a business, but treating (potential) customers like that is not good business in the long run. They have lost repeat customers, some already repeat customers, for life.

It's very welcoming and because of the number of golf and social events it's easy to meet other members. But what makes Lakelands special is the staff. They work hard at keeping the club professional but relaxed and offering up good food, drink, golf and an environment that feels like an oasis from the daily grind. The golf course is almost always in wonderful shape despite a good amount of play and while it's short it is an excellent track for match play or to work on shots you don't find at other courses. Almost every hole has multiple options for how to play it to accommodate any caliber of play.

Extremely Disappointing Experience! Poor management and inconsistent standards. This was hands down…read morethe worst golf course experience I've ever had. From start to finish, we were essentially shadowed by the course ranger (picture attached), who approached us four separate times accusing us of slow play, despite us doing everything we could to keep pace. We immediately allowed a single player behind us to play through. When asked, we also let a scramble group behind us pass... even though scramble formats typically understand there will be occasional waiting. Yes, we had 5 players (we paid for all 5) but to avoid slowing anyone down, only 3/4 of us played each hole. Two of our newer players only played two holes each total, again, to keep up the pace of play. We explained this to the ranger multiple times. He didn't care. Instead, on the 8th hole, he told us that management wanted us to split up for the 9th hole. Of course we agreed but that made no sense and actually slowed us down more than our original system. The part that really highlighted the inconsistency: while we were being micromanaged for simply playing respectfully, we also witnessed a grown man screaming obscenities at the top of his lungs and throwing his club repeatedly. There were kids on the course, yet the ranger seemed completely unbothered by that behavior. In short, we did everything right, let others play through, limited how many of us were hitting, and prioritized pace of play. But we were still treated like a problem, while actual disruptive behavior went unchecked. We won't be returning, and I wouldn't recommend this course to anyone who values respectful play and fair treatment.

The regulars golfing are rude and take everything so seriously, the place is low end and they all act like it's a pro place. The regulars there need to learn how to calm down. Not all of us know how to golf . the staff was super kind and helpful. the course had a amazing view of the water. The food there was really good. The golf course is just really intense for the first time.

They walk you through setup and everything to get you going. Very nice to stop in and hit the clubs while the kids are at practice or the family is shopping. The winter league here was a lot of fun, run extremely well and all the workers were awesome. On top of that, our 20 person group moved our winter sim golf classic here from On The Dunes and had a great time. Carolyn was totally accommodating, set everything up for us and went above and beyond. The majority of our group wanted the move to become permanent. I can't say enough great things about this X-Golf location!

It's a medium skill to low skill level, it's wide open and easy playing for beginners to intermediate players. It's reasonably priced and a good course for a group to play through in about 2.5 hours.

My only complaint was that the stir fry section slowed the buffet line down a lot. Since we were last to eat it was a long wait, and other people were finished long before we got our food. To be honest, I thought the stir-fry was the weakest part of the meal and I was disappointed that they ran out of the roast beef, because the bit I tasted off my neighbor's plate was so good. The pork they served was really yummy. Beautiful place, I would definitely recommend it to others.

Staff was quite nice and accommodating and did a good job of taking care of our party of 14 with good follow up throughout the meal. I could definitely see this being a nice place to dine for a larger gathering/event as it looks like they are set up to handle events like this.
