Check in has always been pleasant and easy for me. There is one woman who has been there for hers and even remembers the first time I came to the dentists office even all these years later. To be honest, it is somewhat memorable. My daughter slipped and bashed her teeth against the side of the tub and broke the top four front teeth in her mouth. At the time I was completely freaked out. They were completely understanding with me and got her in right away and they put her in a private room to pull her teeth and made it fast and as painless as possible. Dr. Ta told me it was because she was still nursing and it was from milk rot on the teeth-- it weakened them. But the way he talked to me and set both my daughter and I at ease-- after that I took all my kids in to see him. My eldest son has mouth crowding. He recommended we work with an orthodontist to determine the course of action to get the teeth to come in the best way possible and make a dental plan. He helped refer me to a good one in my area and both offices worked so well together it was really seamless (for years). In all these years I have never had an issue with billing and they always make sure I understand the charges and why I have them before they charge me or do anything. The office is really big on preventative care and my kid's teeth are so much better after we started coming. They do floride and sealants for the kids (but you can opt out if you want). They also have a very nice panoramic X-ray machine that gets every detail if your kids don't like the bite X-rays or they need more details for the mouth. They also have semi-private and private rooms for kids with sensory needs. The experience for the kids is also awesome. When they come in they can play games or watch tv. Then when they go back they are weighed and they check their height. Once they go to the exam table they are given headphones to watch tv above them (and this also blocks out the sounds of the dental tools which is great). Once the exam is done they are given a bag with toothpaste and a toothbrush, and some floss. They get a token to pick a toy from a machine you can insert the coin into and turn. My kids love this part. Sometimes they get an animal balloon or a sword balloon. They leave happy. The staff has always been very kind and respectful to me as well. No matter where your kids get seen, you the parent can see them. If they are in the main area you can stay with them if you ask or you can watch them through a window (it's one-way so the kids don't see you and start fussing for you). If it's a private room where they are doing a procedure they give you an iPad and you can watch them on the iPad. It's really awesome. I really trust Dr. Ta and his staff. I tell everyone I know and I wouldn't go to anyone else. I highly recommend you go and see for yourself.

We had issues with the original dentist we had moved too due to closeness to home. So we moved to an excellent dentist near home that we loved, but she ended up moving & the dentist that took over didn't want to take our insurance anymore. So when we started looking again we remembered our positive experience we had when my oldest was younger here at Pediatric Smiles. We had an amazing first visit back with my oldest and a first visit with my youngest. The staff here is friendly and helpful; and made for a smooth transition here. The most unorganized office personnel that I've ever seen in my whole life. If something is not right, it's always the patient's fault. Dr. Cremer is extremely thorough with excellent "bedside manner". He takes time to answer any questions you have without ever feeling rushed. I went to have them look over a tooth I need pulled which is free under my plan, they told me it would cost approx 800.00 since it needed a specialist. This is bullshit since my husband had some pulled for 22.00 under our insurance. I asked if I could get free teeth cleaning while there they said I need a better one which would cost 100.00. I accepted but they did not do a deep clean, it was worst then the free one, horrible and only 5 min. I was there for over 3 hrs for nothing, waiting around for them to lie. I went to a dentist not under my plan and it only cost 300.00. Stay away horrible place and dentist, whoever runs should be put in jail! Pay attention to dentists name since they go from cheap chains to the next. Dishonest place. For the amount of time you wait around you can go to the schools for free as well. Our son is 2 years old and he took a nap right before and he would be crying so much if he e woke him up early. I thought it was for the best of us and the doctor. When I tried to call again the clinic they won't answer the phone. We really don't understand why the doctor is being so mean to us during this Holiday season. :(
