Additionally, I delivered to her a round wooden breakfast table that needed to be stripped and restained and an old bed frame that had a broken spindle between the posts. She completed the work according to the estimated schedule and the quality was excellent. I was very pleased with the work she did for us and will contact her again when other projects come up. I reached out explaining I needed someone urgently and they fit me in their schedule asap. We easily communicated via text which is very important to me because I'm always on the go juggling dozens of contractors at once so it's so helpful when businesses can communicate in a way that works best for the client. The day of, I got texts of when the technician was on the way which was helpful. He was respectful, worked hours straight and my shower ended up looking brand new and far beyond what I could imagine it to look like. I was incredibly impressed. I do a lot of remodeling projects and I'll no doubt reach out again; they will be my go-to for sure. Highly recommend!

It took them 3+ hours. The finish is nice and shiny. I hope it lasts a long time. Our experience with Advanced Bathtub in 2023 was horrible. Technician D***** maybe had ADD focus issues. In any case, he worked fast and loose and skipped preparation steps. He mixed the epoxy paint wrong, probably too much solvent, such that the curing paint pulled up from inside corners, and retracted and split on horizontal countertop surface. Jeff kept sending him back to re-do, and he kept screwing it up. He worked without a ventilation fan. I'm not sure if he was more mental or more stoned from inhaling solvent. The paint is completely peeling up from the bottom of the tub 18 months later. Evidently the tub surface was not roughened enough prior to paint application. I don't know if the tech even cleaned the surfaces, much less roughened them. He painted right over dirt and dust on the tile.

I didn't have the budget to do a complete renovation so I got onto Yelp to find a reasonably priced company that would do a decent job resurfacing. Out of all the companies I contacted, Jose was the first person to respond to my request for a quote (he reached out to me in an hour or so). I read a review on here that says he does the classic "under promise and over deliver." I completely agree. He gave me a quote, but warned me it could be higher if they found some issues when they dug into the work. Thankfully we had none of those issues! We nailed down the scheduling over text, which for me is the most convenient way to schedule these kinds of things. He was very communicative when he needed to change the schedule by a day. Also, he was incredibly polite, professional, and attentive in all my interactions with him. They did the job in about 4 hours and I was blown away by how nice it looks. Not only did he fix the cracks and holes in the tub, but he also removed an outdated metal bar (for handing washcloths) and completely restored the tile around the top of the tub. The whole bathtub started as a dingy yellowed thing, and now gleams in a beautiful white color. Again, see the after pictures I posted. After they finished, Jose verbally went over how to care for the tub with me, and then he emailed me written instructions as well. In addition to that, Jose also gave me suggestions for replacing the hardware in the shower (you'll notice in the pictures there's no shower head or water handles...those are coming soon:). I highly recommend Jose and All Surface Renew. When it comes time to resurface the tub in my other property, I'll be contacting Jose again!

But I shot over a picture to All Surface, they said they could handle it, they refinished it, and it literally looks like it rolled straight out of the factory (and for roughly 1/4th the price of a replacement). I'd give 'em a 6 out of 5 if I could :-)

They charged us $300 for a 1,509 sq ft house -- despite the fact that the home had brand-new blinds, brand-new flooring in all three bedrooms, and no refrigerator to clean. This was absolutely not a discounted or bargain price. Before hiring them, they specifically promised they would come back and address anything my realtor found unsatisfactory after the cleaning. Based on that promise, I paid them in full immediately after the service. A few days later, my realtor inspected the property and found the cleaning quality extremely poor. She provided them with a detailed list of areas that were still dirty. One toilet was so poorly cleaned that my realtor cleaned it herself. On another toilet, instead of properly scrubbing blue staining inside the toilet, they simply suggested replacing the whole toilet altogether. That alone tells you the level of effort they put into the job. The dishwasher was still dirty. Windows, baseboards, drawers, and other surfaces were visibly dirty. There were even cobwebs still hanging on the walls. When I contacted them to come back as promised, their attitude immediately changed. They were rude, dismissive, and kept delaying scheduling. I gave them my husband's number to coordinate a return visit, and they said the earliest they could come was Saturday (nearly a week later). Then on Saturday, they suddenly claimed they would not return unless someone was physically present at the house to inspect their work. This made absolutely no sense because they already knew the property was vacant and that we were remote landlords. They had completed the original cleaning using an access code with nobody present, so this was clearly just an excuse to avoid honoring their promise. After that, they stopped answering calls from both me and my husband entirely. The house was still dirty, and we ended up paying another cleaning company to redo the entire job properly. Unprofessional, dishonest, and extremely poor-quality work. I would strongly discourage anyone from using this company. Respond to the owner's response: you lied! (1) The toilet was totally cleanable. The second cleaner cleaned this toilet with no problem. It looks very clean now. But you even didn't try and simply asked me to buy a new toilet. What a moron. Another toilet shown in the picture showed how my realtor easily cleaned after you still left it dirty! (2) my husband said he didn't clearly agree to have someone come for you because your accent was strong and he couldn't clearly hear what you said. Simply not realistic for us to agree. When he called you, you also didn't tell him which day and time you could come back to clean the house either. Later when I called you to come back, I already explained to you why we couldn't have someone on the spot waiting for you because it was an empty house and we couldn't hire someone to wait for you there. You knew this already even before we let you clean our house at the beginning, because we gave you the house access code to come in and nobody was there! We told you our realtor would come a few days later to check and asked if you could come back to finish cleaning if she pointed out dirty places. You agreed which is why we gave you money to do it. Unfortunately we paid you in full on the same day you did the cleaning. So you can become a moron later. You simply didn't want to keep your own promise to come back to finish cleaning. You could simply say you would come back to finish cleaning what we pointed out and no more trips if my realtor found out more later. However you simply refused to answer our phone and disappeared! If you continue to lie in public here after causing us so much stress and financial loss by hiring a second cleaner, I will further seek related third party for help. I don't believe such a horribly bad company could lie like this in public.

We decided to move away from the traditional white trim and chose a darker, more modern color for all of our trim, baseboards, crown molding, and doors. My mother and I contracted with Zachary from Southern Painting to paint my 2200 SF home. Looking to save a little money, as I'm a single, working mom, I elected to have only the walls painted, leaving my existing white ceilings and trim untouched. Naturally, color matching and expertise around that issue was critical. I wanted to transition my home from a tan wall/white ceiling & trim to a clean white all-over look. Zachary recommended a white (Snowbound) that he claimed would easily work in all areas and would not cause a visual disconnect between my ceilings, doors and trim. My mother and I trusted his very clear statement that the color would work. Was a test wall painted? Yes. Did we approve the color based on that? Yes. Unfortunately, the test area was not a good representation of how the would look applied across the house, against doors and in less naturally-lit spaces. The recommended color is blue in undertone while the rest of my painted surfaces are yellow in undertone. If you understand undertones, which I now do, this is a big problem. Caveat emptor always applies and I know this as a consumer, but when you hire an "expert" painting service, ask the right questions about color matching and pay thousands of dollars, one does not expect to have the simplest issue of blue or yellow undertone in a white application be a problem. When my displeasure and concern over the very obvious color incongruence was shared with Zach, his offer to repaint my home at the same price was hardly a satisfactory response. I simply could not afford that option. I see now that a correct white color choice, for someone unable to paint ceiling and trim, would be to match the ceiling color (yellow undertone) and apply that across the walls. It would have created the desired white effect without the terrible color mismatch. I've learned this the hard way after one experience. I would have expected my expert painter, with years of experience, to be able to identify such a simple solution. To the contrary, I was assured multiple times there would be no issue or visual disconnect between my existing white and the white recommended. To add insult to injury, the patches made to my walls where photos hung prior to painting, are terrible. Overall a very poor experience and I cannot recommend Southern Painting or Zach based on the outcome of my home. It's taken me this long to write the review because I've been so depressed about the overall look of my home. I hope this review can spare someone else an outcome they just have to live with and that, if you do choose to go with Zach and Southern Painting, I would strongly recommend the additional expense of a decorator that understands color matching.

They had the best discount at the time we hired them (after getting 3-4 other quotes), so we opted to hire them. Mark was our go-to contact for the North Austin area. We had the entire outside painted with a few repairs, stained shutters, painted all interior ceilings, trim, walls, and newly renovated areas. They worked with us and our timeline (waiting on other projects to finish or gutters to arrive, electrician to finish over several months, etc.) and were not demanding about receiving payment prior to job completion. We did have to call them back several times to clean up paint off floors and touch up areas, and they returned quickly and at no extra cost. Our home buying and renovating timeline/process was really stressful, but Mark and his crew were very dependable and professional. I would hire them again for future projects.

I recently moved from Los Angeles to Cedar Park, Tx and purchased a HAUSLANE UC-PS18 Under Cabinet…read morerange hood. My microwave oven range hood is not satisfactory and the smoke alarm goes off all the time because I cooked a lot and generated a lot of smoke. I found TX5J Handyman ("Daniel & Crew") on Yelp and contacted them. Danel came over, did a detailed FREE inspection and gave me a competitive quote in 24 hours. I then decided to hire them for the job. They came in at 7:30 A.M. in the morning to beat the summer heat. It requires piping and extension exhaust vent directly to outside top siding. It was not an easy job but they completed the job at 2:45 p.m. I am completely satisfied and happy with Daniel & His Crew. Photo is attached "Before and After". P.S.1 It's beautiful isn't it? Yes, they even did the "white box" enclosure (so you won't see the pipe) between the roof and the under cabinet that holds the HAUSLANE range hood to make it look first class+style. I got frustrated and started a project on Yelp, TX 5J handyman responded very fast to my inquiry and came on the same day to give me estimate. Then gave me a very honest diagnosis for a short term fix and long term fix. I went with the short term for now and they came back the second day to fix it now the drain doesn't leak anymore. Daniel is very fast response to my inquiry over the text; and they did a good job fixing it at a decent price. Highly recommend for others to use them.

The overall experience was fantastic and believe the cost was very reasonable given the quality of work and attention to detail. The owner reached out personally to walk me through the process, timelines, and what to expect. They also have a good system in place for text/email updates which I find very helpful. They showed up on time (actually a bit early which I appreciate) and got everything knocked out. They took the extra care and time to walk me through the final product and ensure 100% satisfaction. They did a phenomenal job and there were no missed areas. They also took the time to prep the areas really well and protected my pool which was greatly appreciated. Overall, would 100% recommend as they take a lot of pride in being local and providing high-quality work for a good/fair price. There is a reason "integrity" is built into the name of the business.
