It's almost like dating...you get nervous...have the best of intentions ...and then you take a leap of faith. Thank god that I took that leap of faith all those years ago because I have been a very satisfied and loyal client and have formed a true friendship with Annie. That's not to say that I didn't leave and come back when maybe I wasn't happy with my hair. The thing is Annie is understanding and knows that these things will happen from time to time and doesn't hold it against you. I feel like Annie's prices are very fair and she gets my blonde like no one else. Some people complain and say they never know what the cost is going to be when they get their hair done. In reality getting your hair done is an investment. If you are only willing to spend a little bit of money...or always looking to skimp then you get what you pay for IMO. I have always been upfront with Annie and ask before hand on what the services are going to cost and she has stayed true to the times and what things should cost. I have recommended Annie to many friends and family members and they all have been loyal clients for years as well. Annie does extensions as well and I have had her add a few pieces here and there for thickness or when my hair was struggling to grow evenly. Annie can do it all...highlights...low lights...balayage...color correction...extensions...baby lights...root smudges and the perfect hair cut. You name it she can do it! She is quite the perfectionist and will never let you leave her chair until she is satisfied. Annie also takes photos of your hair once it is done to showcase her work and honestly it is quite a compliment IMO of having your hair featured on her Instagram page. Who doesn't like seeing how bomb their hair looks on the insta! Jenn who is Annie's suite mate and specializes in brows can make your brows look amazing in a matter of seconds. I don't love getting my brows waxed but I sure love the results of perfectly done brows-she even teaches you how to fill them in and make them look thicker. If you need to show your locks some love Annie is your girl! You will not be disappointed when you step inside Salon in the City. These ladies will take great care of both your locks and your brows!

I have tried to find someone in NYC that can come close to the quality cut and color I receive from Jessie, but am convinced it does not exist! So, now I get my hair colored and cut by Jessie sometimes as little as 2-3 times a year, but she does such an amazing job, it grows out beautifully!! Even a short wedge cut was done so well, It lasted forever and looked great even as it grew out! I am constantly asked by my friends in the city, 'who does your hair?' Salone Bellissima, too bad Jessie can't open a place in NYC! Also, from a short wedge cut, to long shoulder length hair, to saving my head from a horrifying cut done by someone else, I have always been thrilled with her haircuts! She listens to what you want, gives you a educated and experienced opinion of how it will turn out (cuz you know sometimes we want hair styles that won't always work for us). She has an extremely high level of competence and her attention to detail cannot be beat! I love that she always asks me to collect pictures of styles and color that I like and we collectively find a happy medium that is easy to manage and maintain. Whenever she does my hair, she manages to color it in such a way that when it grows out it's not obvious so I don't have to rush back in for touch ups. I really feel like color is her specialty, her knowledge of the chemistry is so impressive! Audrey cuts my husband and my kids hair too!
