Great burger and can use taste card here makes it good value for money. The burger is epic and very large. Nice choice of cocktails too.

My absolute fav was the leek. It was so simple yet the flavor combo rly elevated it to a whole another level. The slightly charred layers of the leek and the chervil emulsion were a match made by foodie gods Another must order is the foie gras. The layers of the liver and cherry were buttery, fruity, and so delicate. Go with a lot of people so you can taste it all! Stopped by on a Sunday afternoon for a nibble and ended up having a full lunch. The staff were…read moreextremely kind and helpful with menu modifications for allergies. They went out of their way to make forthright suggestions about items and the wines by the glass. The winner was the pea and mint soup. The delicate balance between the fresh mint and the creamed peas was remarkably well done. The cafe is beautifully designed, warm and welcoming. It's the sort of place where you could sit and let the hours pass as you look at the cafe windows and the passersby.

We came here for afternoon tea and it was one of my favorite things to do in London! The food and…read moreservice were both excellent, and honestly you can't beat the price point. We made reservations at 3pm but it seemed like they had several other tables available for walk-in. The server asked if this was our first time for high tea (not sure if this is protocol or if we were dripping with American vibes). Either way, they were great at walking us through everything to make sure we didn't have any questions. The table settings and overall vibe made me feel like we were super fancy! I ordered the Egyptian Chamomile tea and my husband ordered the Earl Gray. The menu had descriptions of the types of teas which can help you pick out what you'd like. I think we both liked my Chamomile better with a tad of sugar which was on the table. We happened to visit during the Chelsea Flower Show time, so they had 2 different types of specialty desserts- we ordered one of each. The sandwiches were all delicious- I loved the salmon and my husband wanted to ask for the Coronation Chicken Salad recipe. The scones were out of this world, and I have a new favorite food called clotted cream. The desserts were so, so good and had a little bit of everything- chocolate, tarts, fruity...you'll find something you like! To be quite frank, we did our due diligence with finding a place to have high tea. There were some that were almost twice as expensive as this place, and I have a hard time believing they would have been twice as good. If you're looking for a simple afternoon tea experience, make sure to add this to your short list. Brasserie Max is elegant, simple, and delicious- highly recommended!

Nice spot, quality food!…read more Reservations made online a couple weeks in advance for 3 of us on a Saturday at 5pm. Plenty of tables open. Server was pretty on it but took us a while to get our check at the end, though that might be a cultural thing in the UK? He came once we flagged him. Easy to get there by tube. Very busy, very loud. I started with the Springtime Garden cocktail (£13.5), it was refreshing, and light but almost too light (and I'm a lightweight) I got the Duo of Lamb (£27) and it was great, got it pink (not well done) and it came out perfectly, 4.5 stars. I mentioned a squid allergy, and they took it very very seriously, giving me a digital menu that was filtered but what has crustaceans or is exposed to crustaceans, and my food had a little green flag with a toothpick marking it as allergen free to me. It was unnecessary, I told them I can pick it out of a dish and still eat it, but the gesture was appreciated. My group enjoyed their Butterflied Sea Bass (£28) and Risotto Verde (£19). My portion of the meal came to £45.28 total.

I wanted to try this because if it's proximity to the West End theater locations. Initially arriving at 5:45 PM without a reservation, the only tables available with the outside café tables. Thinking quickly, I while at the outside table perusing the menu. I brought up the restaurant website and noticed there was a reservation available within 15 minutes of the time we arrived so I went ahead and tried booking it. After mentioning it to our server and checking with the manager, they graciously reseated us inside at our new comfortable table. I think some of the selections have been simplified in order to moderate cost of each item. For example, the escargot is served sans shells. The duck over moose is tasty, but not as rich as a true pate. The braised calves liver was excellent as was the duck breast salad, dauphinois potatoes and haricot vert green beans with almonds. A classic tarte tatin, and a raspberry crème brûlée capped off a wonderful impromptu meal. I'm glad for the service accommodation, so do note. It's best to make reservations before planning to come here to ensure availability as it is a quite popular place because of its pricing. The prix fixe menu has about 75% of the full à la carte menu. But they always give you the option of adding anything you would like as an à la carte item so never feel like you are limited to one or the other menus.

The bartender said it's a standard pour. As someone who drinks a lot of wine, I can promise it was VERY light. It wasn't an isolated bartender either as a different bartender gave the same pour. Onion soup- 4.2/5- Very salty, which is the way I like it, but not for everyone. Good amount of cheese and good broth. Chicken Ballontine- 3.2/5- chicken was pretty good, came with some kind of pasta and vegetable mix that was very oily. Pretty small dish. Pomme Purree- 4.2/5- very good, no complaints at all, reasonable price. On the google menu they had chicken paillard, which was not on the menu for dinner. We were seeing a show after dinner so we had to be mindful of what we ordered.
