Overall, I've been pleased with the installation and the system itself. My concern is with the follow-up service. Part of the critter guard came loose and fell off, and it has now been almost three months since I first contacted Oak. During that time, I've corresponded with three different people at the company as well as their phone service. I initially asked whether the repair was covered under warranty. I also asked that, if it was not, they simply provide a parts list or tell me what I would need to buy so I could address it myself. I still have not received that information. I was subsequently told that Oak would take care of the repair, but almost three months later the critter guard is still sitting on the sidewalk. This seems like a relatively minor issue, and I've tried to be flexible about the solution. I would be satisfied either with Oak reattaching it as promised or with enough information to understand what is needed to fix it properly. I chose Oak in part because of its participation in Ann Arbor's organized solar group-buy program, and I otherwise like the solar installation. I'm posting this review because the normal service channels have not resolved what should be a straightforward service request. I hope someone at Oak sees this and gets it taken care of. I'll be happy to update the review when it is resolved.

The gentleman I spoke with, was able to schedule me for an appointment the same week and gave me great information on how best to accomplish my goals. The estimate was also very reasonable after doing cost comparisons. Griffin, our installer was an incredible electrician. He was very knowledgeable and worked diligently and quickly to change all of our outdated outlets with ease. Here is a picture of him, adjusting our dining room light fixture to the proper height. The owner has a journeyman's license which doesn't allow him to legally own or operate a plumbing business in the state of Michigan. They were investigated by the state of Michigan for operating illegally and multiple counts of fraud have been added. Once their court date comes up they will be shut down. The work they did on my gf house was horrible. We had all the copper to do the repair. They used pex. Told me nobody does copper repairs anymore (lie), also said pex is better (lie), and pex lasts longer (lie). Come to find out that the work was done by 2 apprentices without any supervision from a journeyman or master plumber which is illegal. One of the workers wasnt even a licensed apprentice when he worked on my gf house. He got his license 7 days later! Stay far away from this company.

Without the detailed explanation, they cut my 220 V dryer wire connection to my basement, they moved the wire to upstairs. My request was to add a new receptacle, but they moved it without explanation. They are now arguing the code and asking me to pay another trip. It's ridiculous.
