The best place to bring in your car, the owner will tell you like it is, without ripping you off, always giving you good price, even if he can't fix your car, he will refer you to other places, best if you could speak Chinese or Vietnamese because he doesn't speak English very clear, but you still be able to make up what he said. First experience there after reading reviews on Yelp I decided to pick this small business and it turned out so smooth, he got me in right away and I was SUPER pleased at how easy he is to talk to. Although I called a week in advance to inform him I was coming, he was just fine and proffesional. The time i went there he was working on 1 other car, and i was seen immediately. The job took approximately 2 hours and then he called on my cell phone and I went back to pay and there was no issues at all. This is the only guys I trust to work on my car. I have a Lexus convertible and I take really good care of it, so I don't just let anyone randomly work on my car. I have been coming to Huy for about 5+ years now and I gotta tell you that they always take pride in their work. Huy and his crew is an honest and most hard working guys I have ever seen. They are always willing to help me what whatever car needs required. Beside from honest work, they sometime would fix some of my car's small problems for free! After every appointment they would give me a run down of what they did and how did they fix my car problems. I have gone to Huy's Auto Repair for oil changes several times. I was really happy with the service there each time. They used API certified 0W-20 full synthetic oil made by Teton. Their price was the same as Walmart's price. But the service was much better. There was no waiting because I called before I stopped by. I was in and out within 15 minutes. They checked my car to make sure that everything was fine. They also checked my car tire pressures and added air as needed. My car brake light was on and off right before my last oil change. Huy told me that it was due to low brake fluid level. He added some brake fluid free of charge. My car brake light has been working fine since then. I recommend Huy's Auto Repair highly. read more

No doubt that the owner is nice. However terrible at communication and planning. I wasn't sure this business was open as he would not answer the phone during business hours. Once owner finally answered, he asked for my car model and then I was instructed to bring in my car at 8:30am the next day. I provided name and model/year of car assuming I'm getting scheduled in. I arrive at 8:30am day of, and the owner turns me away saying he was too busy today. I gave him my name and when I was scheduled for. He said he was already too busy with the cars on his lot and to come on Monday or Tuesday. A huge waste of my time. Reasons why I called in the first place to avoid wasting my time or HIS time even. I had an electrical problem and my options on a good electrical shop was 120-160 an hour. This guy took in my truck and worked on it for days taking out burned wires and changing out sensors checking fuel pump and ignition coil. Finally made sure all lights and switches were working properly and I did blowout half the lights with this issue and he took care of it too. All that for under 500 and since I have to do a smog in a few days he said to bring it back in your check any code that comes up or check engine light for your charge but for now everything looks good. Took my Mazda CX-9 2016 there today for front brake pads replacement. I bought the parts myself, called in and Mr. Huy (the owner) agreed to put them on and charge the labor. I used the OEM parts and had the brake job done at the dealership in the past but was not happy with the part quality (the dealership did a great job as usual, just the parts). The employees there did a great job: One took time to re-surface the rotors (I can tell how great the job was done by examining the very smooth surface later), while the other carefully cleaned the brake system by brushing off dust and lubricated the parts. The quality pads (Akebono) + the great job performed = I got a very quiet brake now and so happy!!! While waiting at the shop, I observed that Mr Huy and his employee inspected a couple other vehicles but suggested not to get fixed on one and wait for another 1K miles to get the oil change on the other. They could have just perform the works and charge the customers but they honestly did not. I strongly recommend Huy's Auto Repair! read more

Huy's Auto Repair does great auto repair work at a fair price. I was recommended to this place by my mom. I took my 2007 Lexus there for a simple oil change and I was in & out in 20 for $30. An oil change is easy stuff and I could easily do it myself but for the $15 or he'll make off this I'd rather someone else do it. While I was there he had a Toyota pickup that he was working on. Looks like replacing a head gasket. As I waited for my car I can tell they take care in their work. Afterwards I spoke to Huy and asked him what kind of work he does, hours, etc. He was a pretty straight shooter and I can easily tell he's not there to make money off you. Finding an honest mechanic who knows what he's doing is like finding gold! and after about 5 years out of my 6 years in SD, I finally found Huy. Unfortunately, I have to move to Denver, and I really really wish that Huy would move too! lol! Huy changed oil really fast (at $20 in cash only, $30 with credit card), and he actually fixed my "service engine" light too, WITHOUT me asking for it!! AT NO CHARGE! My 'service engine" light has been off ever since, and I'm a happy camper :) He is one of those extremely rare mechanics who's not out to get your money, and he doesn't treat women differently! You know how mechanics get dollar signs on their eyes once they see women come in to the garage? nope, you won't get that with him. He'll tell you if there's something urgent that needs to be taken care of with your car, otherwise he won't say that your car will break down in a week if you don't replace things and stick you up with $3000 bill. Another good thing about him? You can actually ask him if there's anything wrong with your car (if you feel that your car acts differently) and he'll answer it honestly. Wow, this auto repair shop made me stunned; Mr. Huy who is owner of the shop fixed my car with broken lock nut and charged for only $25 in a short waiting period. Long story shorts, when I brought my car to Honda Dealer tried to replace a lock nut, technician estimated minimum was $110 and up to $500 leaving my car there for at least 1 day if I wanted to replace that nut.
